I have spent hours on their blogs and I still have several missing questions. I called there on-boarding program and you can only leave a voicemail. I'll update if I hear back from them in the 24 hours they promise. A few technical items: - It would be great if the reserved seating function let customers reserve their own seats AND it forced them to reserve seats without allowing to have an empty seat in-between. You can see this function by reserving seats at the Hale Center Theater (https://hct.org/). - It would be great if someone could purchase tickets using a promo code AND purchase un-comped tickets at the same time (instead of having to go back into the system and starting all over to buy more tickets after the comped tix were obtained). If you have to go into the system twice you may not be able to sit next to your friends. We need this functionality because we give our VIP's a certain amount of comped tickets and then they have first access to purchasing extra tickets for their friends. We'd love for them to sit together. Pros It's great for general admission. And good for reserved seating. Cons (1) Customer service. So far it has been almost impossible to get a hold of them. (2) Reserved seating does not allow customers to select their own seats AND refuse them from leaving an empty seat. Hale Center Theater allows you to do both. You can see more at https://hct.org/online/. I'd love to see Eventbrite incorporate this feature. Maybe they do but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone and started reaching out on Tuesday. It's Friday. (3) Comped Tix: Can't purchase comped tix and non-comped tix at the same time. Must go back into the system to buy more tix. They are my go-to option for discovering local music events, and the ease with which you can purchase tickets and use them in other apps (such as Apple wallet) has really made the concert going experience easier for me. I appreciate the smooth functionality of the app, and its suggestions about events I would enjoy based on those I have previously attended. Highly recommended. Pros Eventbrite presents a very smooth interface, and is a great and easy way to discover and purchase tickets to events. I love it that it allows you to add any tickets purchased through the software to your Apple wallet, and I also appreciate that it keeps an archive of all the past tickets that you've used through them; for those like me who enjoy keeping their physical tickets as a memento of sorts, this app does it for your digital tickets automatically. All of my transactions with Eventbrite feel safe and secure. Cons One time I purchased tickets for a concert, but ended up missing it due to something unforeseen coming up. This was the only event that the app did NOT keep a record of - the tickets have disappeared from my past archive. It has lots of functionality and control. For example, you can set special ticket type, make tickets available or unavailable at specific times/dates, set promo codes for speakers or discounts (e.g. for students). Payment processing is done by Eventbrite and then transferred electronically to an account you indicate. Fees are quite low and easily incorporated into ticket price (which you can choose to be visible or not to the end user). Very intuitive. You can be up and running in no time. Cons Eventbrite usually only pays out after your event. So if you are counting on the money from pre-ticket sales to be in your account prior to event - this is not the right option. Only frustration is the inability to modify number of people in a booking without deleting it and starting again. Pros Easy to use, with generous free functionality. August 9, 2019 5.0 great, we are able to sell tickets to our events without the trouble of having to organise it ourselves! Pros Whether we are organising a free event (Wedding Fair) or a paid one (Cinema nights) we always use Eventbrite. It's easy to use and set up, it integrates with the CRM we use (Hubspot). It collect the money for you, shows you analytics, stats, reports. All very accessible and organised which is great when you're busy organising all the other aspects of your event. They also have a chat functionality and a help centre where you can find pretty much answers to all questions you might have. Cons I would say is that they Eventbrite fee is a little bit higher than we would like to pay (for paid events only, as there's no charge for free events), but with this being said we still always use it and sell the tickets for all of our paid events through it, even if someone comes directly to us to buy a ticket, we will send them our Eventbrite link. The other thing that we would love would be if you could sponsor your events on Eventbrite so that if someone is browsing all events on eventbrite, somehow you could sponsor your event to show at the top. It is clearly the dominant choice for ticket sales and event promo. Pros It is everywhere--everyone knows what it is and what it does, and most events that sell tickets use evertbrite to sell and promote their ticket sales. IT is easy, straightforward, and very accessible. The best feature is it is all online, instead of requiring one to leave home or stand in a line to purchase event tickets. Cons I can't think of anything negative. I would like to utilize the software at some point for an event of my own, but I will have to study up on how to schedule and promote through them. The UI is also very simple and attractive making it easy for people to find events like ours local to them and buy tickets. I appreciate that it's also easy to see the number of attendees, quick process to scan tickets and check people in, and manage statistics all online/or on the app. I've personally used Eventbrite myself from both ends and am happy with the overall app and site! Cons Not much too far. I can't complain too much about the service fees because that's standard across many ticketing sites. Pros I have used eventbrite in the past to buy tickets to 5k runs , dental continuing education, and also a makeup event in New York city. It was pretty easy to navigate and straightforward. I like that you can go to their website and see what kind of events are coming up, wether they are in person or remote. The events are pretty straightforward with a description and the price, some are even free. Overall, the concept and website is easy to follow and helpful. Cons One even apparently had a "no refund" policy, instead they should given some type of credit on their site towards future class/event. We have several large-scale events that need to have a cap on the number of people who can register and this software has allowed me to do this easily. It has allowed us to manage events and communicate with attendees very easily! Pros Eventbrite is really intuitive and easy to use as an administrator setting up an event or as someone who is registering for an event. The software makes it easy to limit the number of attendees for an event, gather RSVP's, communicate to attends, and it is free! Cons There is nothing that I do not like about Evenbrite. Pros I am one who is a bit disorganized ,thus on so many occasions ; I have been invited to events and I end up misplacing my invitation card and find it difficult asking the organizer for another. Eventbrite has basically come handy for me. With Eventbrite ,I am able to register for events and get sent an invite to my mail. It offers all of the features for which I was looking when planning my event. I like the privacy toggles, the ability to make guests visible or not, the variety of options for templates and customization on the free side of the platform. When I initially used it, I had little experience and was able to navigate the program, complete my invitation, and manage it within less than an hour! It was so easy and looks great. The notifications are helpful in planning my RSVP's and the ability to notify folks en mass of a change to the event is helpful! The ONLY feature I wish it had is a phone message option for those guests on my list who choose to not have email. :) Great features, functionality, and product! Pros Easy-to-use functionality of templates and event set-up was turn-key! The templates were varied and graphically pleasing. The set-up was intuitive and made the process efficient with flare! Cons Honestly had to really think about what I liked least because I liked so much! I think the only thing that gave me a bit of anxiety was a few times when I was in the draft/edit phase I was concerned I had sent the message out prior to finalizing it. The "update" button had me a wee bit confused as to whether or not I had made it go live to the guest list since the "Save and Send Later" button was on a separate page. I took the risk and clicked "update" and was happy to see that it indeed saved the draft without sending and I was able to make edits before releasing to the guest list multiple times. I am able to coordinate more openly and easily with the participants throughout the events. An automated Email Campaign works just flawlessly. When COVID happened I was very worried about my upcoming workshops but everything worked so smoothly that even after COVID I am not going back to those old email marketings. and campaigns. Pros Adopting and using Eventbrite for managing my events turned out to be fruitful. Really like the way how participants get confirmation email quickly that gives them a good amount of satisfaction just in seconds after registering for the event. Cons I have been told by some of my participants that they were not able to search for my events through the Eventbrite search page. Although after writing about the same to the customer support, the issue got resolved I personally think that this type of error is not good as it affects the event ticket sales quite a lot. November 23, 2021 5.0 I've used Eventbrite for years to promote and organize my own events around the city and it's been great. It makes it so easy to create an event and sell tickets. And its mobile app makes it even easier to check in and move around the event. I paid for an upgraded account to get more features and it's been totally worth it. I love how it makes it easy to track ticket sales and payouts. I've used it for both personal and business and can't recommend it enough. Pros Eventbrite is a great platform to use for event promotion. It lets you set up and manage your events and allows users to find and register for your events. Any event can be listed on the website for free, and once live, tickets can be sold through the site, including via mobile. If the free version is not enough for you can pay the pro plan, I think it is worth it. " March 19, 2019 5.0 My overall experience with Eventbrite has been great and I would highly reccomend for others to give it a try. I know that whether it be a corporate or nonprofit, many other organizations have found it to be extremely useful as well. Pros What I really like about Eventbrite is how easy it is to create events. Whether it be a paid event or a free event, the whole process of creating and listing an event on the site and then getting people to register is an extremely seamless process. I have used Eventbrite to organize one school event and it was great because we were able to get a general idea of how many people we were expecting to show up! Cons There's definitely not a lot of ways that Eventbrite can get your event a lot of attention unless you share it on social media. For small events, this can be particularly hard to get attention from people that may not be in your immediate network. I think Eventbrite definitely needs to work on how to better improve how events can be promoted.
