March 6, 2018 4.0 Pros At Stutern ,we regularly organize seminars for College undergraduates seeking internship positions in top companies across the country . Interested participants usually have to book a ticket for our event on eventbrite and this gives our company and events we organize a professional outlook . Eventbrite also enable us make adequate preparations in terms of hall size ,refreshments etc for the participants coming ,by providing us with vital data like the total number of potential attendees for our event ,ensuring we are never caught unawares. Lastly ,whenever we create free events on Eventbrite , random interested parties stumble upon these events by accident and book a ticket ,therefore I can say Eventbrite also gives us free adverzement. Cons Eventbrite limits the level of questions we can ask people to respond to ,before booking tickets for our events. Thus we are unable to ask conditional or tricky questions. It is easy for our participants to find the trainings and register and Eventbrite is a trusted product that we are proud to use. Pros Eventbrite has been an essential tool in helping us to transition from in person trainings to virtual when the pandemic hit. We can easily copy previous events and change a few things and our next training is ready to go! They always are quick to solve any issues I may have. It is a breeze to set up events, even multiple date events. I love how the back end makes it easy to see how many tickets were sold, how much net/gross, and linked pixels. All our team can use it and understand how to make changes which says a lot because we have quite a few that wouldn't consider themselves tech savvy. Cons There are actions that I wish I could complete like hiding certain dates that are linked to other dates. It isn't possible, but the customer service helped me find a workaround. This is the only site we use to organize events and it's always a relief when local events are using Eventbrite because it is so amazing! It's easy to share the event over all social media platforms. Pros Very easy to use once you are signed up. I have organized events and registered for events through Eventbrite. It is seamless and easy to purchase tickets when registering for events and even easier to create an event! It has custom settings to choose from to create your own unique style for the event. Pros Eventbrite is my go-to for anything event related. If I'm looking to network, this is where I look first. If I'm planning an event, this is where I post it. I love that you can filter for events that fit a specific type (Charity, business, tech, food,etc.) within a specified location. It's really a fantastic resource for finding events for networking within your desired niche, or finding events that match your hobbies or interests. On the event hosting side, it's also really great -increased your visibility to your event -it's free unless you charge for tickets but they only take a small percentage of sales -you can segment ticket purchase options -It even allows you to collect attendee informations like emails, phone numbers, etc. -Automatically sends an invite to add to attendees calendars Just a great tool for events! Cons What would be great is integrations beyond social media platforms. Integrations with marketing tools like email automation software and CRMs would be a great addition to the platform. And it allows you to publish to Facebook. Nice that it allows multiple users under one master account. Cons No way to connect a member database to create member only tickets. Email options are limited...you can't email those who registered but didn't attend. Reporting UX design is cumbersome at best to use. You can't create event templates. The reporting functions could be better but overall easy to use. Pros It's easy, the brand has a lot of public awareness so events are easy to find without your extra marketing. Cons The cut they take is way too high. This makes your margins for large events unrealistic! I'd only use them for free events now. I use it for our non-profit that puts on a yearly conference. The conference is free to attendees but we need to have them register. Attendees often register to bring guests with them. It is here that we encounter some challenges in collection data. Pros When searching, there were not a lot of options out there. The "pro" would simply be it is a viable free option for putting on an event. I like the ability to point people from Facebook to EventBrite to register. Cons The free version is very limited. It not only helps get the word out, but it increases effectiveness of collaborations across institutional silos or barriers to facilitate learning, and participation. The ability to monetize on a tiered basis (even offering free access), manage levels of participation and customize, share content, and find similar events, all contribute to the value and enable participants to become more involved to achieve shared goals. Cons The ability to create microsites for events that could be linked to a sponsors website where dynamic and interactive content could be updated may enhance future versions. I wish also that they had not only responsive but helpful customer service. Pros This is great tool to use when you run events all the time. As a college, we do offer a lot if event so event management and lead generation through this tool is a must. They do offer features that allow to sync your data from events into Salesforce to be able to later market to your lists Cons We integrated Eventbrite with Facebook for advertising and it was difficult to understand how conversion tracking works. Pros It is user friendly. Easier to navigate through, especially when it comes to managing and scheduling events. Especially the customer facing side is highly interactive, like the email automation. Cons I would say their customer support needs to be a touch more responsive. Especially, when it comes to cancellation and refund of the event. The payment portal has hiccups at times. I would recommend Eventbrite for events of all types and sizes. Pros The thing I like most about this software is being able to customize ticket types. Depending on which type of ticket an attendee chooses, the organizer can determine which type of questions the person registering must answer. For example, if you choose platinum sponsor, you are asked which shirt size you want. It is the best platform I have used for special events and even offers a check-in feature for the day of your event. There are endless opportunities for customizing your own event. Also, if you have a contract in place with Eventbrite for your events, they will not charge you a ticket fee for free events. Cons The thing I like least about this software is the fees. I was expecting a processing fee for credit card sales but there is an additional Eventbrite fee. This was remedied by signing a contract with them. Now all my fees are capped at a specific price and I can now have the attendee absorb the costs. Switched from [PayPal](https://www.capterra.com/p/207944/PayPal/) Before switching to Eventbrite we were using Excel spreadsheets to organize attendees and having them pay through Paypal. Switching to Eventbrite has save so much time and money. The old-fashioned way of hard tickets at the door is cumbersome for large events - this tells me what I need to know well before the event begins. I also love anything that collects data, such as addresses. Use it, for sure! Pros A few things. It is pretty easy to set up; in fact, it's kind of hard to screw it up! The whole idea of ticket distribution and money collection is taken care of quite nicely. I can also easily see how many tickets have been purchased, who has purchased, everything that you need in an easy, simple dashboard. I have used it in a variety of settings with never a problem. Cons Occasionally, creating event posts leads to nowhere. Once or twice, I've had issues with adding in location or editing the description, that sort of thing. No one likes needing to get tickets for something only to arrive at the event and have a hard time getting the tickets available at the gate. Pros This is a very user friendly software and works with just about everything. You don't need an official account if you want to buy tickets for a concert or event. Guest checkout is easy and there are very little issues as tickets arrive in PDF within a couple minutes. Cons There is no mobile app support so you must use a web browser on your phone if you are doing this on a smartphone.
