Cons What I do not like is that eventbrite takes about $3 from a ticket sale so it discourages our school from using it more than we could. Because when putting on an event you want to limit cost. I once created a professional get together event ,and I had like five persons show up without being invited ,however they had tickets and we had to make do with them.I was very much displeased. We save staff, money and time with this software and we are available on more newsplatforms for events at the same time. Pros This software just connects everything needed. Build the event on one platform and share it, extend it to all imaginable platforms. The integrations level and functionality is stunning and well thought through. Cons Id be missing functions to drag and drop content to the standard editor. It has html but a more intuitive userinterface Id prefer . As well the ability to make different text styles in the newsletters and on site. Possible an option for accepting cryptocurrencies in the future. Eventbrite helps us gauge the attendance of those events. Pros Regardless of the type of event, being able to keep track of attendance and are able to plan for the number of attendees more easily. Cons The fee per ticket for the paid plans is unfortunate but it's not terrible. Overall I'd have to say that's my least favorite part of the program, it is very helpful otherwise. However, it should be noted that I have only used the free option because the events I have are free. I haven't had any major concerns because these events I plan have a maximum of about 75 people. So great tools available depending on your needs. Pros I love that there is no cost for events that are free. This platform has all of the tools that I deem necessary to plan and accommodate small events that I often have to plan for my job. It easily allows me to send out invites, manage guest list, send reminders and register attendees when they arrive. It works so well, that I would easily pay for the service that they offer because they truly are an invaluable asset. Eventbrite has saved me when I literally had 5-7 days to set up an event and manage guest and there needs in order to pull of successful events. Always top of mind for me. Cons Eventbrite customer service is limited to none. Thus, that is a major red flag. With any event management platform that's selling tickets for actual money. Pros Ease of use and alerts that I get about the events that I signed up. It facilitates the availability of events and sends me notification of events that might interest me. I would have missed many events if Eventbrite had not brought them to my attention. Cons Alerts and notifications for events that would match my interests would be good improvement. Pros I most enjoyed being able to view my already purchased tickets to events, and search for other events all within one mobile app. Eventbrite has been great for surprising my family with weekend outings to a variety of concerts, festivals, and other fun events. Cons I have only had a few minors issues with events not updating their head count or changes of dates to Eventbrite. But these are very uncommon occurrences. Generally speaking I mostly never have this problem! Cons Eventbright was not very populat in my country several years ago. And I prefered some local platforms for local events. But things changed and now Eventbright if No 1. Pros Eventbrite is a great tool to circulate invites and formalize any event. We host networking events and happy hours often. Creating an Eventbrite page adds a sense of legitimacy to the event, and also helps organize attendance, invites, and overall scheduling. Cons Occasionally there is some confusion by attendees who have never used Eventbrite before and they must sign up for an account or leverage the tool. Pretty user friendly - just a drawback of formalizing an event through a software like Eventbrite. Some people will have just preferred a direct email. Very small and negligible drawback we've found. We have at least one a year, including our main fundraising event. This has simplified the ticket sales situation and we have even added our sponsorship opportunities to the site. I like that you can make donations through this as well. It is beneficial that the purchaser pays the processing fee. Cons While I like that it asks the purchaser to pay the fee, I wish we had the option to give the purchaser the choice as to whether or not they paid it. While this might seem a bit contradictory, there are different mind sets with making a donor or ticket purchaser pay the processing fees. I appreciate it, but some feel the fees are the cost of doing business and that should not be passed on. So I wish we had the option to make that choice. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to create the event and different functionalities such as keeping it private or public etc - It also allows to keep the event open to only a certain audience and even there could be different ticket categories - Automated emails, tracking, checking-in system by scanning QR code is pretty easy and helps me as an organizer to keep track of attendance - I love how I could schedule emails and send to different audience, the sorting and searching functionalities are amazing Cons \- Charges a high commision on tickets, which makes it relatively costly to use - There are cheaper versions available but they lack the important features Review Source sH stephany H. Guest Relations Used the software for: ### "A simple way to take in-person events to the next level of professionalism" May 8, 2018 5.0 Pros I first used Eventbrite as a way to gather assistants for a promotional event. It made keeping track of the RSVPs and attendees so simple! I was able to export excel sheets with every person who confirmed they would assist, plus the fact that the reminders are sent out automatically and (at least) a paper ticket can be requested for the person to show on their phones or download them, makes them remember about the event even more. When you host a free event it is possible for a lot of people to forget about it or disregard it more easily, but when they have to take the time to download the ticket and so forth, it is more of a commitment. The add to calendar feature is also very very handy. Cons Not sure if this is offered (it sure must be), but a pay option with no Eventbrite branding would be perfect and if I use it again I would be glad to purchase it. I like how it can be customized to your events need - with speaker bios, calender/schedules, payment options, etc. It also integrates with outlook/google calendars and you can preset reminder emails and automated messages to participants. The mobile ticket option is also a nice touch for those who are environmentally friendly and don't want to print out their tickets (or forgot their tickets). Cons Sometimes when you click on the option to integrate the event into your calendar, it downloads twice for some reason. Then you have to go into your calendar and delete one of them. Cons Once I needeed a refund for an event that was first postponed and then cancelled due to COVID, and the process was a bit complicated due to the lack of communication with the event organizer. Pros I like that many companies use this software to launch/organize their event ticketing. You can integrate it with your Google Calendar, and get real notifications on the events you sign up for. It is a veru intuitive software which makes it very easy to use. Cons The search function on the mobile app can be a little laggy and a little counterintuitive. I thik getting pop-up or notifications with new events around your area would be great. Now, you are the one that has to go into the app and look for something. Cons We used the ticketing feature to help with head counts; however, attendees did not utilize the tickets. If Eventbrite had a simpler ticketing system, possibly with a QR code or something that was text to users rather than emailed or printed, it may help.
