They ignore the same issues year after year while they work on "new improvments" that no one cares about. Worst of all, PayDC holds your notes hostage while you continue to pay fees. It's one of the most frustrating aspects of my business, seriously. Pros I like cloud-based, all-in-one systems for the easy access, however it only works on PC's . Cons Basic features don't work properly and when you notify the company, they just blow you off or tell you they're working on it. Poor compliance - the notes system automatically puts in details in your soap notes that make your notes inaccurate and potentially risk denials. I have told the company about this multiple times and they just blow it off. Apparently, they dont care about keeping you compliant and getting paid. - Ironic since their name is PAY-DC. go figure? I have used EMR in one form or another for over 20 years; this by far is the most frustrating one. Too many "click" steps to complete a SOAP (my previous software, Chirofusion, was able to complete a new patient exam in under 2 minutes; follow ups close to 30 sec per note). If we encounter a problem or issue, a speedy call to their support line gets us back up and running in a timely manner. Pros PayDC is built to create solid documentation with the click of a few buttons. You can customize your own templates and mirror the insurance company LCD's to ensure you have a note that will surpass any pre- or post- payment audit that may come up. Our SOAP notes have boosted our authorization approval rating to an all time high. Cons PayDC is a great software, but sadly does not integrate well with other software platforms. If a feature or function is not available in PayDC you have to create a work around to utilize another platforms functions. The patient general ledger is a great way to show patients how insurance did or did not pay as well as payments made by patient on what date, amount and method of payment. Sending claims electronically is very easy!! Pros We love the ease of posting insurance/pt payments, keeping track, simple to read billing statements. Appointments easy to make and/or change. Easy to customize to your practice needs! Cons We manually did our own integration back in 2012. If PayDC offered to do this (extra charge) we declined to to cost. Honestly, don't remember. I was very nervous to move into the EHR realm, but this software and this company made it easy. I was well-trained by the staff, and when I did the switch, it was seamless. I got great support and have not looked back. The company is very responsive to suggestions, as I have seen several things added after taking the time to give feedback. It literally takes me less than a minute to update a patient's record on a regular visit, yet I am in compliance, have a professional record of the visit, and have the appropriate codes ready to be filed. Everything is able to be personalized, and once the templates are completed, the notes reflect your thoughts and are done in your style. With this software being cloud-based, there is no expensive, upfront cost or monthly storage fees. It is affordable and simple, and it covers all the necessary bases for a great note. I highly recommend you give it a chance before spending major dollars on some of the other products in the market. PayDC does the job and more. Cons No complaints with this company. The system is easy to personalize for your practice needs and future changes that may come about. The transition to the ICD-10 was a breeze. I know Docs that are still striving to get this done. My office was ready from DAY ONE! This in itself was worth every penny! Cons The first time you set up a patient in the system it takes a little time! But this system is still quicker than the rest! Having multiple employees doing their job at the same time is great. Pros Like everything else in our computer world, once you get the "hang of it," it is quite easy as far as Doctor's daily input goes. I use it daily for patient care. I do not know clinic reports or the billing aspect, or the clinic metrics. Once it is set up as a new clinic and all your inputting is complete in the setting wizard and advanced settings (CPT code, Dx. Pricing, etc), it runs quite smoothly. Having Macros is amazing, and when used correctly, I do very little typing, which saves time and makes the notes more uniform when having multiple locations and doctors. Having support videos is great for first-time users. When I first started using Pay DC, I used them weekly until I got "the hang of it". Wizard and advanced settings let me tailor the needs of the clinic, and as the clinic's needs change, it is easy to make those changes when necessary. Cons As Doctors' daily input, the targets you need to click on need to be bigger (trigger points, spasm, tenderness). The body chart for muscles could be bigger, too. When you first open a file with a right click, delete a patient, and the patient account should be further apart. Care plan contributing factors should be limited and not be able to be added at the time of the care plan. (We have hundreds of entries that the doctors put in, and we can not remove them.) When measuring range of motion, the % should move in "Tens" when using the quick arrows. From the support staff, the ease of use, the comprehensive documentation, the compliance, and \[sensitive content hidden\] himself, it's been a wonderful relationship, and I hope to use PayDC for years to come. The software rarely goes down which makes patient care and note taking very easy, and the fact that it's completely cloud-based, makes my life as a busy provider, husband and father that much better. Pros I've looked at a lot of documentation services, and PayDC is by far the most detailed and comprehensive EHR software. After reviewing notes of other chiropractors, PayDC looks substantially more complete and thorough which makes us feel extremely good about any potential pre-authorization determinations, audits and continued care requests. Cons This isn't saying anything bad about the software, but it was quite the transition from paper notes to electronic health records. It took a little bit of time to get the hang of it, but once we did, it made documentation a lot easier!
