### "Changing our Rota System"

Findmyshift has completely changed the way we plan for staffing events. It has been simple enough for even our most IT-wary volunteers to take part in. The messaging feature allows me to tell all staff about sudden changes or announcements.

Pros

I wanted a system that was accessible to staff but which also let me budget for each event, as this was an area where we had historically overspent. It also helps me track holidays and time in lieu, which was almost impossible in our old system. It also lets me check staff availability way ahead without having to resort to complicated texts / whats app groups and emails. I have now introduced our volunteers to it and time sheets which will again save so much time and money.

Cons

I have not yet learned how to clarify on booking a staff member on which pay rate they are on. Eg staff are standard rate or Duty manager rate for that shift. It is in the back under pay, but I don't know how to clarify what they are on for that particular shift which in turn makes it not work for payroll.

I had used it as an employee at another company so could recommend it.

Very positive - have been using it for 13yrs across 2 different businesses.

Pros

Being able to click & drag copy shifts, copy/paste even on mobile version for ease of scheduling / making changes. Ability to send message to all or selected employees.

Cons

Nothing I can think off - there are a lot of functions we don't take advantage of due to other circumstances.

I used this in the previous pub I worked in and brought it into the one I am at now. It is easy to use and works well.

Pros

Easy to set up and use by everyone. Accurate, I like the colour options to set different colours for different areas of the business.

Cons

The phone app does not allow people to put times they are available onto the app.

Findmyshift has been great right from the start of a long free trial period. This gave us the opportunity to really test the product. Customer service even during free trial was prompt. All the training videos and faq made the learning process easy. Since then, everything has run very smoothly. We don't use all of the features but the ones we do make a big difference.

Pros

The scheduling and payroll report have been game changers! Prior to findmyshift I used to have to collect availabilities via email or text, enter it into a spreadsheet and build a schedule from there. Findmyshift has streamlined that process. The payroll report makes it easy for HR to do payroll biweekly.

Cons

I don't really have any cons to list. Features to consider may be timesheet directly on the mobile app and some sort of tool for staff to communicate with each other on the app?

Has streamlined the management of tasks and different departments. See at a glance the staff required to fill roles for the day.

Pros

I can chose to use the different features or not. Affordable.

Cons

Did take a bit to get the hang of the rostering of times and tasks. (but I am old school). Font of default print outs too small to display on one page as there are so many spaces in report so I always export data to an excell document.

Reason for choosing Findmyshift

Can't remember sorry. I haven't gone looking for another one though since getting this we have taken advise from accountant who promoted Net Pay a NZ payroll app which the staff use for time sheets and leave requests. Forgive me for not exploring the other features of find my shift which I see would do these things too.

Pros

This softwware has really streamlined the rostering of staff. The app features being able for staff to see their shifts, get weekly emails, on deamand instant updates, messaging service to all staff are all key features. The unavailbility feature is useful for zero hour staff to put in and for admins to see what staff are avaible to work, all in one place. Saves thetime for messaging across many different social media platforms, messages and emails which often caused confusion.

Cons

Ability to have different templates for winter and summer. The ability to cost your weekly rota and add budgets to see how you are tracking with staff variations.

I do not solve any business problems with it, I have additional software that I use .

Pros

Relatively simple to use. Staff have no problems in understanding how to navigate their ways around their roster.

Cons

Perhaps there could be more training at the beginning. Sometimes items are not clearly explained and staff obtain access to changing rosters or adding to them incorrectly.

Pros

I have a small team with three different shifts and needed a scheduling tool that was easy to access, easy to understand and easy to update. Findmyshift provides just that. The online tool is very intuitive and the mobile app provides easy access to shift information on the fly.

Cons

The subscription seems at first costly, but really when you break it down it's about a dollar a day.

Overall our experience with FMS has been great and we haven't had many technical clitches.

Pros

Find my shift allows our employees to track their hours and places of work with ease. It also provides us with evidence that our employees have attended a job with the location tracking function and photographic evidence function.

Cons

There isn't a quick solution to input new locations/sites without clicking into a different part of the site.

Great. Easy to use, easy to teach new users, easy for cleaners to see their roster and accept shifts, and easy to track hours for sites. Love it. Customer support is possibly the best I have come across.

Pros

It's simple to use. The reports help us ensure we are meeting minimum shift requirements and rostering the correct number of hours. I like that it's simple because that keeps the cost low. That was very important for me when selecting this product. I didn't need all the bells and whistles that we wouldn't use.

Cons

It should definitely allow you to save many different templates and use them whenever needed.

Pros

Rota creation and time clock functions are a life saver. Rotas are easily made and amended, time clock function helps me manage my staffs hours.

Cons

The system for assessing hours over set time periods could be easier to navigate and more easily tailored to the users needs.

Overall the software is fabulous and put simply it just works. During the pandemic we test it quickly and deployed it with a lot of staff furloughed. Noe of them needed lengthy training to view or use it. The reporting is daily weekly and monthly and speed checking thing up enormously.

Pros

The configuration was easy to setup and start using straight away. If you have any basic MS Excel knowledge you'll find it so simple and no issues at all. All staff will be able to access the software from any mobile device.

Cons

When saving the days off it take time to complete this and slightly (only slightly) increase the creation time of the shift patterns.

Pros

This software is very easy to use for a small company like mine. It's ease of scheduling and ability to have contractors clock in and out with GPS tracking is critical for me. The advance scheduling makes it easy for me to cover all locations and the contractors to confirm the schedule. It is also easy for me to alter the schedule with notification going out to the effected contractors.

Cons

For me there are really no cons. I prefer a simple to use scheduling app that dosen't have a bunch of frills that I have to pay for.

We have managed to streamline our weekly and monthly rosters, staff receive information timely and we are able to maintain the time keeping, time sheets, weekly and monthly reports, sharing information through notice board push service.

Pros

Rota, planner, time sheets, notice board, ease of inputting and updating information, sharing information, producing various reports.

Cons

When a site is finished, it is a little difficult it if you are not an avid user of the application/sofware.

Would be helpful if there was a function that when making an amendment to someones shift it gives the option to map this change across the rota. Currently have to do it manually. also for staff to end holiday request it won't work form the app they have to use the desktop site

Pros

The pros of using Findmyshift is that I can easily communicate with my workers so that they know what time their shifts are and also easy to adjust the hours they are going to work and extra hours past shift time.

Cons

Some workers are not used to the app so they get things mixed around with hours and days but that’s a minor cons as they can improve. Happy with the app!

Pros

The way the rota can be laid out by "facility" or, in our case, areas of our business makes it easy to see at a glance where people are, where there are short-falls and where people can be moved to help make the business run more smoothly.

Cons

The main area which I would love to see improved is calculating holiday pay. In particular, adding a holiday for a part-time user should be set to deduct holiday by default only for those days they would usually work - for example, someone who usually works Monday, Friday and Saturday should be able to be set as such so that holiday is deducted accordingly without having to manually change it. Also, someone who works varied hours should able to default to their average weekly number of hours deducted. I also think that adding sick leave could be improved to not require removing from the rota first before adding the sick leave. Adding time off generally also defaults to "Everyone" - it would be much better if it defaulted to blank and forced a selection before being able to apply such that people didn't accidentally add "Everyone".

Easy to use, staff access on both iPhone and andriod phones. Holiday request, final days record, clock in & out function.

Cons

When I update the roster I have to pause first just in case it is published before I finalize

Pros

Love the time clock feature for accurately tracking hours worked and calculating payroll hours. Making schedules is quick and easy, and our employees appreciate that they get instant notifications when changes are made, and that they can check their schedules from anywhere.

Cons

Only minor irritation is that the time clock feature we use on a tablet sometimes signs out the administrator account and staff miss clocking in as a result, so we still occasionally have to track hours on paper. It would be great if the administrator received some kind of notification that the time clock has been logged out so we can fix it before an employee alerts us.

Overall its a very easy platform to use, could do with a few small updates!

Pros

Very to use and is very friendly to the people who find technology difficult to use! Simple and quick to make rotas for your whole team.

Cons

the only cons we have are keeping track of everyones holidays and time off. it could be a-lot simpler with the way it shows you how many days/hours holiday one has left and what that person as taken in the past.Very easy for the salary users just the hourly people its had to track.
