October 1, 2021 5.0 Pros This system is extremely easy to use.Communication with all the staff was a breeze. Cons I found that staff could cancel shifts and sometimes I was not updated. Reason for choosing Findmyshift Word of mouth. An Employee who used it for his business had nothing but nice things to say about it. I would love it even more if it was integrated into Lightspeed/Kounta Pros Fact that you can give all employees a different colour is handy. Making templates is handy too so you don't have to make the same roster time and time again. I really like the fact that employees get an instant update on any roster changes. Cons Pricing is always an issue because you want to save on costs wherever you can. The fact that you pay for each SMS alert makes it expensive. So I don't use this feature, but have to turn it off every time I want to send a message. The app appears different from the desktop version and some features can only be used by administrators in the dekstop version and not in the app. That's sometimes confusing. The fact that an owner/administrator is counted as a team member is something I didn't expect. Cons To date, we have not found any issues with the system and would recommend everyone to start the free version then upgrade like we did once we had a good look around the site. Pros Find My Shift was as anyone would expect greeted with some résistance from the team initially but once everyone had settled into using it, about a month, it has become the go to for all scheduling and payroll related information. It's easy to use , clear and accurate. Cons It works fine , we have no dislikes and have found the system to be really easy to use. Using the Time Off function is really beneficial too Cons I use different colours for different shifts/tasks, sometimes I find it difficult to select the correct shade from the many colours available which means I end up with loads of different colours on my rota! Pros ability to email and sms staff excellent. Cons Editing rota on mobile device not an option (useful for on the fly changes when administrator is not at desk.) After selecting new date range, page goes to end of date range selected rather than start, so have to scroll up to continue making rota on most current date. Apparent inability to make test or dummy rota other than using publish/unpublish function on live rota. We have complex shift patterns in order to try to give staff certain days off without this resulting in too many consecutive days worked before getting to those days off and it would be good to have a dummy rota to work on to see an overview of potentially workable patterns before committing to live rota. This should clearly show how much I believe in this product. Pros Super easy to implement and use. The customer service team are always to hand and helpful. Reporting and general view of the scheduling is clear and easy to understand. The flexibility this product provides is what I love most, team members are able to have autonomy and accountability of their scheduling. It has great reportiing facilities. Can be used anywhere from ones phone. Cons sometimes platform can be slow when working via the phone's browser. but no issue swith the app.Doesnt autosave and can only view 20 weeks in advance. doenst move forward when the week is done. Pros Once set up to work how we required, it has been really useful for volunteers to add their shifts for a weekly schedule. It does everything we need it to do and is quite simple to use once you have it set up. The support team were really good when I contacted them a number of times to get it all set up. Cons There are lots of settings and options so sometimes it is difficult to find what I was looking for but the support team are very helpful if needed. Reason for choosing Findmyshift It allowed a free trial which was really useful as we was able to try the product and really see if it would work for us. Cons The communication tools are not very sophisticated (we've used Deputy previously and it was a bit more swish), but we don't need much more than Findmyshift offers. We run a 24/7 operation with about 15 different shift times, so efficient management of staff timetables is absolutely essential. As our business has grown from 15 employees to over 40 we have found this scheduling website to be invaluable. I can't imagine going back to our previous spreadsheet schedule which resulted in staff turning up late to shifts or not coming in at all as they weren't aware of late schedule changes. Automatic syncing with employee calendars and the time-clock function really help to set this software ahead of anything else I've tried. I'm sure we will be using findmyshift for years to come. Pros It's easy to use and has a lot of functions Cons I wasn't aware until trying other software products that findmyshift had a time-card function. So I would suggest somehow making users aware of these other functions. I'm not sure of the best way to do that - maybe a popup for managers every few logins so with different functions or tips? IT Administrator Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Does what we need for managing 30 staff across 10 locations" June 23, 2017 5.0 We have 15+ 'rooms' (8 surgeries and a number of shared admin offices) and around 30 staff. Some staff (e.g. dentists) not only need a room allocating to them they also need a nurse allocating to work with them. Other staff may just need space to work - for example allocating receptionists to one of 3 receptions, allocating admin staff to an office to work in, etc. We used to do this with spreadsheets but as we expanded it became unwieldy and prone to errors. FindMyShift has proved to be an economical way of us both planning who is where on any particular day but also communicating this easily to the staff. Pros The ability to access the software from anywhere with just a browser is the biggest plus for us. Clear easy to understand graphical interface goes a long way too. The support from FindMyShift has always been fast and helpful. Cons Sometimes screens can be a little 'busy' - for example the time off planner. One of the biggest reasons for sticking with them is that you can always get hold of their support, they always want to help and will often go above and beyond to advise, tweek or fix anything that we are struggling with in terms of functionality or potential bugs in the code. Pros We've been using findmyshift for years to manage the staff rota for our carehome. Being able to access it anywhere with an internet connection, make changes etc has been invaluable. Cons The holiday management within the software doesn't suit our industry very well, great for straightforward hourly rates for staff with hours that never change and where additional payments aren't a consideration but doesn't account for the fact that employees must be paid an average wage for their time off taking into account regular overtime, flat rate bonuses for shifts etc. As such, i need to keep a separate spreadsheet for this. Pros FMS helps us organise and deploy contractors remotely whilst keeping track of their location. The option to clock in using a 'selfie' gives us an extra level of reassurance. Similar software solutions can be considerably more expensive, so FMS has been a critical addition to our business for many years now. It has always remained user friendly and reliable.
