### "CRM for the Tech-Resistant"

April 22, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with MyCase has been very positive. Once I committed to using it, I quickly saw the benefit, especially as my team expanded. It has improved how we manage cases, communicate internally, and interact with clients. MyCase has become an essential part of how my firm operates, and it’s contributed to a more professional client experience. I just renewed my subscription for another year, and I'm looking forward to maximizing my use of the platform. I really see the value for the money I'm paying.

Pros

What I appreciate most about MyCase is how seamlessly it brings everything together in one place. As my practice grew from solo to a team environment, the ability to manage clients, documents, and communication in a centralized system became invaluable. The client portal and document-sharing features have made collaboration between staff and clients significantly smoother, and the integrations have helped automate parts of my workflow that used to take up a ton of time. It’s made the day-to-day operations of my firm feel much more organized and efficient.

Cons

There was definitely a learning curve as I moved from a personalized paper-based setup into a more structured digital system. That adjustment period required some patience and a willingness to change how I was used to doing things. I found some components not very intuitive, but MyCase account specialists were always available to answer questions via email or on clarity calls.

### "Better than Clio and Practice Panther"

March 23, 2026

4.0

It's not perfect, but it's way better than Clio and Practice Panther based on my usage. Customer service is pretty responsive. Rollouts are not always smooth, unfortunately, but they do seem to be doing updates from time to time. I don't see them responding to customer suggestions very often.

Pros

Ability to keep all members of my team connected to what is happening in a case. Connecting emails, portal conversations, texts, etc so everyone can see the progress on a matter is so important. Also integrationality with other software apps is critical and it does this well.

Cons

Leads kanban is pretty much useless because it doesn't connect to email, so there's essentially no functionality to it.

Alternatives considered

[Lawmatics](https://www.capterra.com/p/177717/Lawmatics/)

Reason for choosing 8am MyCase

Lawmatics couldn't connect all the emails sent to clients across all staff at the time. Although I think they do now, and I think Lawmatics is better at managing leads than MyCase is.

Both other softwares I used lacked the capacity to streamline email and other communications across all staff/all offices. They also were not good with managing leads that were not yet clients. MyCase doesn't do an excellent job at that either, though.

### "MyCase is solid value for the cost"

April 6, 2026

5.0

Overall, its been a great experience. It gets the job done. Its not the top of the market in that it does not have the robust items for a personal injury or employment law case, it allows for contingency but doesn't actually have any functionality built in for contingency cases. But for the basic case management needs, it works well enough. Its nowhere near a FileVine in functionality, but also nowhere near FileVine in terms of cost either.

Pros

MyCase is an easy to use, user friendly, law firm case and document management program that provides solid value for your money. The best thing about it is their customer support that is top notch.

Cons

One thing I don't like is that you get charged up front for a full year for any new person that you had and its non-refundable. Sometimes small firms like myself have short term employees or turnover, so having to pay thousands of dollars up front and its non-refundable is really hard to manage. I've lost thousands of dollars due to this issue.

### "At least I'm honest?"

April 30, 2026

5.0

I started using Mycase early in my solo career, it has been very helpful and intuitive. I can't imagine doing my job without it.

Pros

Do I want to have to interact with Mycase or any case management system? No. I'd like to be on a beach, independently wealthy. But if I have to actually do the work I studied so hard to do, Mycase is exceedingly helpful in keeping both my office and my clients up to date and organized. I've just started using the integrated billing software and it's pretty easy. Plus, Mycase doesn't judge me as I cry over my keyboard at 3am because there's a work emergency.

Cons

I don't think the billing software sends out un-ignorable reminders to clients to pay. However it's easy enough to set up reminders in the system so I can remind clients.

### "Happy with MyCase"

December 4, 2025

5.0

I'm happy with it. As a solo attorney having a CRM like MyCase keeps me organized, it keeps me on task, allows me to make notes and status update, text clients through the platform, and get e-signatures. You can get away with not using a CRM like MyCase, but overall I think it improves my practice quite a bit.

Pros

It's relatively easy to use, it provides a lot of value in terms of tracking case matters with notes, e-signing, and texts to clients. Collecting money from client is also pretty easy as LawPay integrates with the software and you can do things like setting up payment plans. Customer service has also been pretty decent with the AI answering most things.

Cons

I was given an initial discount to sign up, but that disappeared after my first year, even though I was told it would continue. While this may not be exclusive to MyCase, it's also occurred to me that I may be hostage to it as there is a lot of case/matter data that may be difficult to migrate should pricing no longer be competitive.

### "I always brag about my case and practice management system."

October 26, 2025

5.0

Overall very positive. I was not happy with the sudden price increase but alas the system has proven invaluable. Easy to learn and very user friendly. Very flexible, especially the invoicing aspect of the system.

Pros

Comprehensive and intuitive platform for case management, billing and practice managment/financial analysis. Very easy to learn and use. Makes invoicing and timekeeping a breeze. Even has useful perks like document e-signing!

Cons

The cost has gone up significantly...but what hasn't - some of the features such as mycase desktop are useless - if they add to my costs I am not using them and so the company should focus on its core usefullness and not try to replace word or whatever they were trying to do with the internal editing platform.

### "Above and Beyond"

November 3, 2025

We have switched from another CMS to MyCase after demoing numerous companies. The support staff goes above to help solve any issue that arises. Our experience with MyCase is above and beyond our expectations. The program does everything in one place for all our firms needs.

Pros

We switched from another CMS to MyCase after demoing various programs. MyCase was by far the best fit for our firm.

Cons

The only con I have found is that if there are folders in the documents tab we cannot just have it list all the documents without the folder for a quick view instead of having to search through the folders. There is a seach bar but sometime the court sends the filed docs back with a random title and the person who uploaded the document did not change the title.

### "Gets the job done."

October 17, 2025

4.0

Overall I have had a good experience with Mycase. It has allowed me to operate and grow my law firm while ensuring a relatively painless experience for my clients through Mycase payments and the client portal.

Pros

Value for money. Originally it was extremely affordable and still had all the features I needed to run my firm more efficiently.

Cons

Mycase took a very long time rolling out integrations that Clio had for awhile. This included email integration, etc. I think they've definitely made up ground in that area but it unfortunately comes with a larger price tag.

### "Good File Management Software for the Price for Solo Attorneys"

October 20, 2025

5.0

Pretty good for the price. The customer service is usually available, the interface is agreeable and easy to use, the unlimited cloud storage is nice, and I like a lot of the app/integrations like filing straight from the MyCase file.

Pros

Quick response/implementation to new good ideas for the software. Customer support is pretty good, no complaints.

Cons

Sometimes software bugs can take a long time to repair. For example, for the longest time when I would print to PDF from MyCase the auto date feature from the MyCase document would show the date as one day ahead. It took quite awhile for MyCase to repair this bug (months) but they eventually fixed it.

Overall, my experience with MyCase has been exceptional. I have tried other billing and office management software, and they do not come close to the ease of use as MyCase.

Pros

The ease of use of the system for both my firm and my client's is amazing. It is an incredible value for the money. Customer support has been extremely helpful. The document management feature is used daily.

Cons

### "MyCase is a great Program for any Law Firm"

March 23, 2026

5.0

My overall experience would be a 10 out of 10 experience. I can navigate the website very well, and I did so without any training. The website is user-friendly, which is a good feature because law practices are busy and sometimes formal training is very limited.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. Specifically, when uploading documents. The fact that I can just drag documents into the portal and that they load so quickly is very efficient. I have never experienced any issues with the program. MyCase is very good at notifying us of scheduled updates, which makes planning around them effortless.

Cons

Probably the cost, but compared to other legal programs, I cannot honestly say it's a true con because there are similar programs that are even more expensive.

Covers all the aspects I need in firm management and accounting for a reasonable price and offers in-depth resources and one-on-one assistance (with a person!).

Pros

As a sole practitioner, I need something affordable but that covers multiple facets: client management, case management, bookkeeping, Trust accounting, etc. MyCase handles all of those and is priced reasonably.

Cons

Just learning a new system. Every system handles things differently, and any switch is going to have a learning curve. Back to Pro - the learning resources are very helpful and you can get one-one-one support.

### "Australia salutes 8 am My CASE"

October 18, 2025

5.0

Nothing but positive things to say on the software. Being in Australia the maintenance (weekly) is a little frustrating as all the staff end up having to take a forced break we are paying for....

Pros

We run a business using this software that is not related to the law industry. We have managed to successfully adapt the software to our needs and would be lost without. I was a little hesitant when the changeover happened and the implementations on the site were adopted but they have improved something I did not believe needed improving. Love it!

Cons

As we are based in Australia, if we need direction on something that we can not find the answer to via the online help facility, due to the time differences we have to rely on emails.

November 10, 2025

Overall, it has been a great experience. We have used free trials for other systems and came over from another platform. MyCase has done what we need at a reasonable price.

Pros

Total intergration with accounting, payment processing, messaging, and calendar fuctions. Having one spot to see the entire client file inclusive of payment history has worked well for us. Any issues with accounting add-on have had quick response times from customer support.

Cons

My only complaint is the renaming of the company to "8am." It is slightly annoying to see times in my inbox and have to remember that 8am is not a scheduled event but some notice from a case. Hoping they will rebrand to anything else.

### "Great all-in-one Practice Management System"

October 29, 2025

5.0

The Customer Support team is amazing. They will use Chat functions to help you solve problems in real-time. I have always received a great response time from them.

Pros

This practice management system has nearly all of the functionality you need to run a practice. It has billing, invoicing, accounting, case management, tasks, and is also a CRM. It also allows you to track your communications (texts and emails mainly) automatically. I have built all of my activities around MyCase.

Cons

There are a few things MyCase should consider. First, I think for a large pracitce there is good value for money, but the pricing model is fairly expensive for a solo practitioner. I would suggest a lower pricing tier for one-person practices. Second, it doesn't have client scheduling, which would be very beneficial. Otherwise, it's great.

### "Reliable, Easy-to-Use, and Backed by Excellent Support"

November 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, it’s a dependable, well-designed platform that makes running a law practice more efficient and organized.

Pros

I’ve been using MyCase for my law practice and have been very pleased with it. The customer support team is excellent—quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful whenever an issue arises. The ease of use is another major plus; the interface is intuitive, and it doesn’t take long to get comfortable navigating the system. Document management is smooth and well-organized, making it easy to upload, find, and share files securely with clients.

Cons

If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be integration options. MyCase works great on its own, but I do wish it connected with a few more third-party tools and services I use daily. It’s not a major drawback—just something that would make an already strong platform even better.

My overall experience with 8am MyCase has been very positive. The platform has continued to improve by integrating more tools and features into one system, making case management, communication, and workflow organization much more efficient. I also appreciate that the team is open to feedback and willing to engage with customers about areas for improvement. Pros

Cons

### "Intuitive, Well-Designed, and Constantly Improving"

June 9, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been excellent. I've been using MyCase for five years, and during that time, I've seen the team consistently make valuable improvements. What stands out most is that they genuinely listen to customer feedback and have even implemented some of my past suggestions.

Pros

MyCase consistently hits all my checkboxes for a great legal CRM. The layout is clean, modern, and logically organized, which means less time is spent training new staff and more time is available to focus on our clients. All critical information—from documents to deadlines to client communications—is easily accessible in just a few clicks.

Cons

The drag-and-drop feature for uploading documents can be a bit wonky at times. It occasionally fails to register the files being dropped or can be less responsive than expected. To be fair, I'm not certain if this is a MyCase issue or perhaps a conflict with my browser settings, but it's a small point of friction in an otherwise smooth platform.

### "Positive Experience"

June 3, 2025

4.0

Overall experience is more positive. I would say it does make managing a case much easier than not having MyCase.

Pros

I like how it helps organize the case file and keeps everything together, including communications. Clients are able to view their case records without asking for copies. I like the text message feature. In general, the time entries/billing are pretty simple, assuming you don't have to split the billing. Then it gets complicated, especially if you don't have the split billing feature. Even then, there are limitations.

Cons

I don't like that I am unable to send emails directly from MyCase. I have to download documents to send them out to clients or opposing parties. I don't like their split billing process. If I generate an invoice and split it between two people, and one person pays on the invoice and the other does not, I am not able to forward that invoice to the new invoice, and only bill the prior invoice to the one person who didn't pay. I don't enjoy having to reconcile Affirm payments manually, as the option is offered through a specific invoice. If someone applies for the loan, it should be applied automatically to the invoice they applied for. There are times the system glitches, and I am not able to work.

### "The Best Case Management Software I've Used in 20+ Years of Private Practice"

June 4, 2025

5.0

MyCase has excellent customer service. They are responsive to suggestions for improvement of the site. MyCase has been a game changer for my solo practice.

Pros

Everything. Seriously, this is the best case management software I've used in 20+ years of private practice. MyCase makes is easy to capture my time and keep my files organized. It also makes sending bills and getting paid easy with LawPay integration, which allows the firm to collect and deposit funds into my Trust Account or Operating Account. MyCase has powerful features for intake as well, such as online intake forms and document automation. If you're not using MyCase you need to ask yourself "Why not?"

Cons

If there's anything to complain about, it's that MyCase is too comprehensive for one person to fully master. I feel pretty proficient with MyCase, but I feel like there's so much more that I am not utilizing just because I haven't made the time to do a deep dive on all of the features (like the Integration with MailChimp). I really don't have any complaints about the software or the support, which are both excellent.

Reason for choosing 8am MyCase

MyCase's interface is 1,000 times better than Clio. I did not have a chance to try Practice Panther, but if memory serves me right, MyCase had a more robust platform with more features than Practice Panther.
