Excellent working tool for controlling all office needs. Billing and communication with clients has improved considerably as well as the accountability with our employees and vendors.

Pros

Program does as much as other high price competitors in an economical and secure fashion. Quite flexible on changing users and exchanging information with customers.

Cons

Although there is an integration module with quickbooks, some extra features such as payroll capabilities and a contractors' disbursement module would provide an overall business relation between the business and its clients.

I have recommended this software to two colleagues who have already signed on and are users of MyCase. Benefits include: enhanced organization of all client files, documents, billing and invoicing, time tracking, communicating with clients. Too many to list. I am completely happy with MyCase as my Case Management Software.

Pros

Ease of Use. Timer, Case Tracking. Templates. I love it. Professional image I display with my clients and the secure client portal. Great value for the cost. Looking forward to adding payment features.

Cons

The mobile app on my iphone is sometimes difficult to pull up documents and messages. It works fine on my ipad. And, my clients have not expressed any difficulties using the mobile app.

Pros

The software is very user friendly and I like that it has the capability to sync with calendars such as outlook. It helps manage well client information.

Cons

It could improve on task reminders and activity reminder on certain clients. For example if you have an open client that has not been worked on for more than 60 days. An alert should pop up for all active users to let them know this case may need attention.

I understand MyCase was chosen because it was best appropriate for the type of cases worked by the firm.

After trying out the various cloud-based case management solutions that are out there, I decided to go with MyCase and I have never once regretted that decision. Simply put, MyCase is the BEST case management solution available. First, let's talk about what everyone looks at: the cost. MyCase is competitively priced at only $39/month per attorney (and they offer a generous discount to members of the American Bar Association). For that low price, you get a feature-packed case management solution that offers scheduling, task tracking, document assembly and unlimited storage, billing and invoicing, time keeping, and last but not least, the client portal. And it's the client portal that perhaps separates MyCase most from the competition. The client portal allows clients to easily and conveniently access important case information, view documents related to their case, pay their bill, and exchange secure messages with their attorney by using the web, an iPhone or iPad, or an Android device. Lastly, MyCase is constantly updating its platform to offer new and innovating features, and their customer support is based in the United States and responds quickly to any questions or issues. So when it comes to price, features, and customer support, MyCase is simply the best!

### "Best Case Management Software!"

We are a small office with only one lawyer and two full time staff. Most products are geared toward larger offices as clearly those firms pay more; however, we aren't set up that way. We are also in a small town and have been given the opportunity to prove we are above our competitors with how amazing we are as a team within the community and how we stand out by using MyCase. It allows us to communicate securely, see who is working on what file and be able to track time that would normally be lost in the shuffle. Very excited to finally be able to open the door to the future!

Pros

The billing feature is great and was the initial reason for purchasing the software; however, the client portal access has become what I like most since you can see the day and time your client logged in. Email is becoming such a thing of the past!

Cons

I have yet to figure out the template feature but I know that once I am able to take this time this software will manage this office instead of this office managing the program.

Meh.

Pros

Ease of invoicing. The only advantage to the product from the billing and payments side of the practice

Cons

Impossible to drill down on any report below the level of their standard reports. Lack of any common sense in reporting functions with billing, payments, etc. Need to hire some accountants to make their reports usable.

MyCase is a Wonderful Platform for Case Management. The whole team uses it for billing, calendaring, document storage and more. The app is so helpful!

Cons

Invoices are hard to read from the app. The email links open the safari site instead of the app.

Used it since 2014, and it has made a huge difference in tracking billing time correctly.

Pros

The features are awesome and they are constantly improving. However, their tech support people are the best bar none that I have dealt with. They have a can-do attitude, not an "it's not my problem" attitude.

Cons

They take years to put into functionality suggestions. A lot of the newer things are things I have asked for in the past. I think all companies suffer from not listening to the customers regarding development, but that may just be my perception.

ability to share information with clients especially documents and calendar events. Its easy to learn.

Cons

apparently the mobile app I cannot edit client information such as change an email or phone number. I have to do it on the desktop. Also the mobile app looks good but its still clunky to navigate. example on the recent activity its blue like a hyperlink but I cant' click on it and go to that note or task.

We really like MyCase. We try to use all the features and there have been lots of updates since we first started using it.

Pros

MyCase is easy to use and has lots of helpful features. It's less expensive than other case management platforms. I've been using MyCase for over 6 years.

Cons

Sometimes the platform changes without notice.

Pros

The software is easy to use and it contains features that are used daily in my law practice. We can keep up with telephone calls, emails, text messages, billing, client contact, etc. all in one place. We use this product daily and have seen a change in our income based on our ability to send out invoices on a monthly or even weekly basis, if needed.

Cons

We have not found anything that we do not like about the software so far.

### "AVOID if Defense Counsel"

THERE IS NO VIDEO PLAYER. So, basically, you have to download what you have already uploaded just to view it. And when doing so, you are sometimes logged off because it takes so long to transmit big files. BUT THERE IS A CAP on how big those files are. As criminal defense counsel, videos are relevant. MyCase has a 5GB cap (no file may be larger) and there is NO BATCH uploading if a file is 1GB or greater. It's literally COSTING ME TIME to use the software. If all you use if PDFs, fine; you'll be mostly okay. But clearly this software was not designed by actual practicing attorneys. And customer service is not responsive to our requests to remove the cap or increase the batch filings or to install a player (like Google Drive does).

Pros

Choose Clio. Very little to like here. Certainly nothing unique.

It helps me stay organized and productive each day. I am able to keep track of my time and bill easily from my entries.

Pros

I like the fact that it does not give me more than I need to run my practice. I have used case management software from other companies that included a lot of things I did not need. It was confusing. I chose MyCase because it has just what I need to keep track of my cases, my time and my calendar and allow me to do my billing quickly and easily.

Cons

I would like to be able to see my time entries without having to print a bill. I often look at my time entries to confirm work was performed and I have to create an invoice to see it (even if I don't save the invoice I still have to go through the same procedure)

It has been a wonderful tool for our clients and employees in the office. Everyone is always on the same page.

Pros

It has made it extremely easy for everyone in our office to keep track of all our cases. There are so many great features, including the ability to take notes, bill time, invoice, message clients, upload multiple documents at time and tract status updates. We love it.

Cons

If there was one thing I would like to add is the ability to have have multiple bank accounts that can be linked to the system for taking customer payments.

Pros

The clients being able to log in to see documents, events, upload information, etc. Allows both myself and the attorney to look at the case file and know what documents, emails, events are there.

Cons

The mobile app is not great. The attorney in our office cannot see recent activity unless she specifically logs into a client account. She needs to be able to see recent activity in real time

### "Possibly the best option for solos and small firms"

We need practice management software, but we don't need the expense and hassle of maintaining a server or desktop apps. We were with another provider for years, but we were getting frustrated with the way their system worked. So we tried MyCase and have never looked back. It's about the best that you can get for the price point. It is full-featured, boasting document merging and easy, precise trust accounting capabilities. It even plays nicely with Quickbooks accounting software. Contact and case management are intuitive. When you open a matter, you see EVERYTHING in one place, including the trust balances for clients, invoices, documents, notes, calendar - everything. Reporting is weak. The way it imports calendars is simplistic and doesn't allow customization. The way it imports emails (requiring you to review messages one-by-one instead of being able to weed out spam in bulk) is abysmal.

Great, we love it!

Pros

MyCase is easy to import your clients from another system or excel. The ease of use is exceptional. The calendar syncs with Outlook and makes it easy to have only one calendar for everyone. The clients being able to reach out my email or just leave a message is quick and easy. We can easily send out global emails to all of our clients. The invoice system works well with sending out reminders.

Cons

We were frustrated with the fact the SOLs would not syn but that has been fixed.

Pros

MyCase is pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it, but it can ger very disorganized and difficult to manage as the case load increases.

There is no set way of organizing emails, it starts getting hard to track them down.

It has been easy to use and the price is descent. The price was much better but they recently raised the prices.

Pros

User friendly. Billing in the program is very easy once you set up the case information. Setting up case information is a little confusing but once you get past that part is so easy to use and will allow you to enter your time. I wish they had an app where you can enter billing.

Cons

Inputing a cases is not intuitive. You need to go to different screens to enter the client information which is inconvenient. They should have all the client information entering on one page.

There are several features that make MyCase vital to my law practice: (1) Convenience and intuitive design for my team and for my clients. MyCase is an interactive platform where not only my legal team has access, but our clients also login to the system and have access through their own portal. Because of this, it is important that it be as hassle-free as possible for our clients to access and use MyCase, as well as our own team. (2) Accessibility across any device, either through apps or the web-based portal. Our firm is a hybrid of a "traditional" brick and mortar law firm with an actual office but our systems are built around the sophistication, flexibility, and mobility of a virtual law firm. This means we are mobile and I try to be mobile a lot, often spending more time at clients' offices than at my own. MyCase's flexibility permits me to keep track of my activities regardless of where I am working and allows me to keep extremely accurate time records because I can enter them at the time the work is being performed. Of equal importance, this also allows me to be able to review my clients' invoices and work-in-progress at any time it is requested, from anywhere. (3) The security features of the platform. One of the primary focuses of my practice is on information security, computer fraud, and data breaches which makes MyCase very helpful because of its focus on security. It provides me with a secure way to share documents with clients that does not involve unsecure email, and it also keeps the records of my case billings secure. (4) The most important feature of MyCase isn't really a feature at all -- it's a culture. The MyCase team has always been very receptive to my feedback and I have made several requests for additional features and functionality. Just about every feature request I've made has been implemented. They've always been responsive and the company is constantly updating the platform and growing.
