Both companies I work for are small businesses and so it seems silly to pay as much as we were. Their customer service though is also the reason I love Patriot Payroll! Pros Patriot payroll once it is set up is very quick and easy to use. I have had to call support a couple of times when I needed quick information and wasn't exactly sure where to find it. Any time I have called support they have been positive, friendly and super helpful...always a great experience and solved my problem or question on the first phone call which I appreciate! Cons Setting up multi states...each state does things differently and can be confusing getting all the proper information and getting everything set up...once set up though its perfect! I'm so glad that happened because Patriot is a better experience for less money. Pros The support folks really seem to care both in setup and addressing issues. Customer service is responsive and helpful. Pros Easy to use and the customer service is top notch. Cons There is no automated feature for businesses who have all salaried positions. The price and features as compared to other similar products. Payroll is completed within minutes each week - granted we have a smaller team but the process is seamless. Multiple pay periods each month for the same price - others you need to pay for each payroll/month. Cons Honestly, thus far things have been going very smoothly. The only issue we have had is an issue with funds being released at the end of of our 1st quarter for SUTA, resulting in a delay with the state - but Patriot took quick actions and made things right. Reason for choosing Patriot Payroll Customer support and price point was a deciding factor. While we have not opted in for the accounting software, the price point for this is also well below some of the competition and integrates into payroll. Review Source MC Marvin C. We have been very happy with Patriot and intend to be with them a long time. Pros I own two companies and after moving one to Patriot Payroll, it was an easy decision to move the other. The professional help I receive when I have an issue. Cons The setup. Had to deal with our state to get all the percent numbers for setup. Trying to reach a state worker was horrible, always talking to a machine while trying to speak with a human. I have never had any real issues with it. Pros You do have to enter all the necessary information in before you can use Patriot Payroll, that was something that had to be done. How much our state and federal taxes will be and coding the companies correctly, but I did receive online help for that and didn't take to much time but after that I have literally had to do nothing but enter the time, we are on direct deposit so I don't have to print any checks. I can print out reports and immediately know what I owe in state and federal taxes, etc. Pros It was straightforward to set up and accurate with the state's payroll taxes. It is so easy to run payroll. Pros I loved that setting up our payroll was easy, and any time I had questions throughout the process, the customer support, which is based in the USA, was able to quickly assist me. Cons I haven't really found anything I don't like about the software yet. Reason for choosing Patriot Payroll Quickbooks was extremely expensive for just one employee. Cons I wish it would calculate benefits hourly, as it is right now, I have to calculate what one person's benefit is for 40 hours and enter that amount.
