It has everything we needed to get started with Payroll starting with employee 1 without costing an arm and a leg. Cons The very first payroll can take a little longer than normal, only because of the first funding. Wish there was an easier / faster way to get the first funds into the account for anyone needing to get onboarded quickly, but that isn't everyone. I definitely do promote it and have done so to my bookeeping company, in case their other customers are inquiring. Pros The ease of doing the payroll is great. Printing off the reports is perfect. Cons I wish that we could process the payroll closer to the date of pay. The four full business days before is sometimes a drag. I can't always figure out some of the programs and have to contact Patriot directly. But when I do, it is usually very productive and helpful. Pros The software is extremely easy to use. I create the payroll in a few clicks, export the file to QuickBooks, and the payrolls are run in a timely and accurate manner. The reporting is also very easy to use for quarterly and annual reports. I also use this to pay 1099 vendors and it works well. Cons Sometimes the reporting for an individual payroll for a specific employee can be difficult to find. I was nervous about changing over from our previous payroll provider mid-year, but Patriot Payroll made it simple to enter historical data. I especially like that there is actual telephone customer support. The pricing for full-service payroll for our size organization (7 employees) is less than half the price that our old provider charged for the same service. Thank you, Patriot Payroll, for providing an excellent product at an affordable price. Pros Tied for first: I like that I don’t have to worry about payroll-tax deposits and filings. Also, it is is invaluable that I can call customer service when I have a question—our last provider required paid customer support! Cons Importing payroll info into Quickbooks desktop has some limitations for our specific needs—I wish it could be customized a little further. Turning this over to Patriot was the best thing I ever did, and saved me over half what I was paying Intuit with far better service. Pros Everything about Patriot is a first class experience, except the price. :-) Unlike Intuit, which charges way too much to tiny businesses, Patriot sees the value in working with tiny businesses (hint: microbusinesses often GROW into bigger businesses, and even if they don't, they love referring people to good companies like Patriot!). With Patriot's full-service payroll, I always know that my payroll tax issues are handled behind the scenes perfectly so I can focus on building my business. In addition, when I have a question or special circumstance, their knowledgeable, friendly customer service folks knew exactly how to solve it. I have even recommended to my accountant that they change all of their small business clients over from Intuit! To not do so is to advise their clients to waste money. Cons Literally no cons. Everything was great during my two years with Patriot. Reason for choosing Patriot Payroll Price + the promised services looked the same. My accountant warned me that many cheaper services (than Intuit) can't be relied on to file on time or make mistakes. She was dead wrong in this case. Thrilled with Patriot. Pros Patriot is simple to use and to set up. I type in the hours an employee worked, press next, review all is correct & confirm. You can set it up to print checks, it’ll print pay stubs. Patriot pays your Quarterly taxes and files all your State tax forms. I don’t worry about ANYTHING when I write a check on Patriot. All the correct taxes, SS, Medicare, etc. are taken from the check AND my quarterlys are taken care of. ALL of this for a small monthly fee. Cons There is nothing I do not like about Patriot. Reason for choosing Patriot Payroll We decided to try it out. The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]?, called me several times. I had no idea it was the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] until months later. I rag to the other partners how easy it is to run payroll every time. LOVE IT!!!!!!! Pros I have not had to call support to help facilitate payroll. With my previous service, I had to call every pay period to ask for assistance as their software was NOT user friendly. Cons The only issue I had was that I had to manually onboard because they do not onboard from ADP. Pros This software is great for all types of accounting and some types of payroll system. Import between customer and vendor is quite up to date. I can print out payroll reports and documents for my accountant with ease. Pros It is every easy to use and it is priced reasonably. I used Quicken/Quick Payroll for close to 30 years and I got tired of the constant increases in your monthly subscription amount. Once a venture capital fund took a serious stake in Quick Payroll, you knew things were going to bad. My other favorite of Patriot Payroll is that customer service is based here in the US and you are not dealing with someone sitting in a call center that you can hardly understand much less get them to understand your issue or problem. Switching to Patriot Payroll just for this feature made the change completely worthwhile. January 8, 2020 5.0 Patriot Software's customer service team has been friendly and helpful every time I have reached out. All of my questions have been answered quickly so I could get back to work. Pros I love Patriot Software Payroll's incredible ease of use. I used it for a year, then switched to Quickbooks Payroll because I thought it would be easier because we use QBO. I was wrong. Quickbooks Payroll was much harder to use. The primary reason is that you still have to do a great deal when using QBO Payroll. With Patriot Software, once it is set up, the do so much more FOR you as part of the service. This gives me peace of mind, because I don't worry about making a mistake or overlooking one of the many filings. Cons For Patriot Software's Payroll software, I have experienced no downsides.
