I did reach out to support a couple of times and they were prompt to respond and very helpful. Pros The software makes meeting payroll a breeze. It's a bit of a learning curve for year end tax requirements but I'm figuring it out. Cons I wish you could go back into prior manually entered payrolls and edit them. I made a couple mistakes and couldn't change the information. I had to delete the transaction and create a new one. Every single time I had an issue customer service was prompt and efficient! Pros It’s easy to use and customer service is fantastic! I was afraid that it would be difficult and time consuming but I was wrong. Cons I can’t currently think of any cons about patio payroll. Unless it’s the fact that don’t offer a done for you payroll service. Otherwise it’s great for our needs. I had never run payroll before... after a few calls to their customer service I was able to run the payroll for the time that company had left. Now I use Patriot software to run payroll for my husband small business. Patriot is the best solution for our small business payroll needs. Pros Best solution for my small business payroll needs. Platform is user friendly. I get fast support when needed either over the phone or by chat. To this date i have not experienced bugs. Cons I have not experience any issues with Patriot. I only use the basic payroll service to save on money, so I rely on Patriot Payroll's great reports to make my filings myself. I also love paying Patriot to file my 1099's. Pros Patriot Payroll is SUPER easy to use and a great value for the money! I appreciate that they can file my end of year 1099's and W2's for me! Cons Ability to use more accounts for coding of payroll checks in the Payroll Integration Area. Different employees go to different accounts and that does not appear to be an option. The user interface is very straightforward. And I love being able to pay contractors through Patriot as well! Pros Simple, cost effective, excellent customer service support! We enjoy learning about the founding and supporting a fellow US business. Cons We've only been using for a few months, but we truly have no complaints so far! Maybe a easier spot for the payroll schedule so I can easily double check upcoming dates for the next payrolls? That being said, I haven't ventured into the autopay payroll yet so that may already exist! Cons Having to learn another new program, but so far it did not take long to learn how to use the program, it was fairly straight forward. I recommend it for everyone, the price is amazing, the support is incredible, and the software is really easy to use and has step-by-step guides. Pros I like how easy it is to use. I'm not an accountant, but it prepares everything for me, tracks everything, is super easy to work in, and support is great, even for stupid questions :) Cons I haven't been able to find a report to track cash flow yet, but that may be on me. I really want to be able to see a running flow of in's and out's, but I just haven't found it yet. I may need to contact support, I just haven't yet. For a one-man LLC/Sub-S with only one employee, Patriot Payroll Software is by far the cheapest and easiest to use. And their customer support is stellar. You always get a live person to help whenever you need support. Cons The lack of a quarterly payroll option. Since we only run payroll quarterly, it would be nice if they had the option for quarterly payroll. Cons Some things fell though my cracks regarding unemployment or paid family medical leave, unclear about who was in charge or that, you guys or me.
