Pros The software is cost effective and efficient, easy to use and it definitely streamlines the entire process. I am relieved to have a hassle free provider. As long as they don’t change I won’t change. Cons I’m not sure if the Patriot Software portal still allows the employee to access everything about the company’s pricing. Any time I have had an issue the help section has been awesome and I didn't even need to contact anyone. Makes Payroll so much easier then I expected it to be. I love that I can bring it up on my Smartphone also, our accountant is a 2 hour drive and I had forgotten to print something, pulled it up and printed it from my phone! Cons I don't know that there is anything I dislike about this program. Anyway, it does the job. Pros Intuitive and simple, it makes payroll very easy! The functionalities it offers are fine, according to the price, in general terms I liked it but I consider there are better options. Cons Navigation can be somewhat cumbersome, until you finally get used to using it, and the ease of use is something that I value a lot in the programs/platforms that I test. I had no experience in processing payroll, and the Patriot Payroll system walked me through all the steps. Pros The total coverage of the program. Once the employees are set up, the payroll and payroll taxes are handled automatically. Cons If an employee pay period is missed, it would be nice to be able to still process a direct transfer through the system instead of having to process a paper check. Also, only one month into using the system, I was sent notice of a price increase. Reason for choosing Patriot Software I heard the add on Fox News. Checked it out and it seemed very complete. The overall cost is very affordable. Highly recommended. In fact, we have recommended your services to several of our industry colleagues. Pros We absolutely love Patriot Payroll! It is very easy to set up and use. We feel very confident in the service and having our taxes collected, deposited, and recorded saves us both time and money. Although we've only had to contact customer service a handful of times, the response time is quick and the representatives are so friendly and patient. Great work Patriot! Their customer service is great, and I love how seamless everything is. Pros I love the dashboard with all the options readily available and ease of navigating the website. I love the many options available for customizing payroll and each employee. I have used the help option many times and have always been impressed and pleased with the quick response. Cons I really do not have any complaints with the software as of now. Still learning some things but so far so good. Reason for choosing Patriot Software Price and ease of use. I'm liking my service. Thank you! Pros I like the ease of using Patriot Payroll. Once set up, inputting my payroll every other week only takes 2 minutes. The reports are easy to find and I feel secure knowing that my filings will be made in a timely fashion. Cons I would like the reports to be easier to find. I really do not enjoy the customer service. Every time I’ve contacted customer service, I’ve been made to feel inferior. I hold a masters in business administration, but I am not a payroll specialist. I understand the concepts, I needed help with the software. Customer service could be dramatically improved. Pros The software as a whole is powerful, and accomplishes all the needs for my organization. The employee database, compensation management, end of year options, and tax filings are wonderful! I appreciate how responsive they are to updating the program when there are problems. Pros It is a great, simple program that allows employees to do self-entry of time, run basic tax documents, and manage payroll. I appreciated how it updated with the pandemic sick time automatically. Cons I do not like the vacation and sick time functions. Having to "allocate" vacation, holiday or sick days is not intuitive. I should just be able to pay the employee for them, as long as they have not used all their time. There should also be a Flex Time or combo vacation/sick time button. Review Source HM Heidi M. Pros the software was user friendly , and the support was excelent. Cons when i started i made some mistakes and instead of deleting and correcting I run another payroll and that caused headache and costly. not all the charges has been explained well at the start. Pros The set up/on boarding was easy to do. And the usability/interface is logical, straightforward, intuitive. I am the only paid employee so although I have minimal needs, I found the software to be very flexible. For example, I was able to make first payroll to myself for a whole quarter, then make a simple modification and pay myself monthly after that. Cons None. I hit no roadblocks during initial setup/on boarding, and have then had no roadblocks since then when processing payroll. Reason for choosing Patriot Software I conducted internet research on all payroll systems that received high ratings for small company applications. I am owner-operator and therefore the only paid employee, so first looked into the "free" platforms. But I quickly found the free component of their service to be inferior, with the only option to upgrade to a costly paid subscription. Quite frankly just a marketing ploy to hook in potential new clients. Based on third party reviews I found on the internet, I decided Patriot Software fit my needs and signed up. It was easy to set up, has flexibility to modify pay amount and frequency, and after initial setup takes only a few minutes to run each month.
