It runs so smoothly though that I often forget about all that is happening behind the scenes. Pros The software is so easy to use that I rarely have had to call for assistance after setting it up. Employees can easily enter their own hours daily for review and then payday is as simple as a few clicks. Cons I have no complaints at all and have been very pleased for over a year of daily use so far. The few times that I have had a question I have gotten a person to answer my customer service phone call quickly and effectively. Pros I use the payroll software for my 2 employees. All their taxes are paid automatically by Patriot directly from my bank account. It is all very accurate. I have never had to do a correction. The monthly price is very affordable for my small business. Cons No cons at all. I love it. This way, I have never needed an accountant. It is also affordable. Pros Being a newbie employer, I needed software to manage payroll and deductions properly. I did not want to have to worry about mistakes or missing something. Patriot's set up was easy, quick and guided. Payroll literally takes me a few minutes every other week. They also take care of filing my employer taxes. I have a mobile business, so I especially like their added timekeeping feature which allows my employee to clock in and out on the go. Cons A phone app would be great! However when I did finally have time to answer their call. The person on the line snickered at the difficulties that I had expressed and ultimately they were not able to really help me. I sent a support request awhile back that I have not heard back from. I do not feel like my issues have been taken seriously. This has turned me off from me using the software. I have realized what issues I need to fix but the clunkyness has also made working with the software feel like more of a chore than an asset. I need things to just work so that I can focus on my business. Pros I like it’s intention. It has all the right things going for it. Dedicated staff, walkthrough for set up, all of the right features that you would need. Cons It is clunky. I have very difficult time fixing my mistakes in set up. I would have a much better time if I could go back and batch edit. This difficulty has made me unable to use. I wish I could more easily import and export information. Excel files are limited. It would be nice if there was an api so that I could actually integrate. Dont need to be a payroll expert to run Patriots Software. As someone that works in the staffing industry placing accountants I have worked with companies that use all the major payroll players. Patriots software does all of the same functions as other payroll providers but for a fraction of the cost. Cons No major cons. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some products. Pros This software makes it a breeze to run bi-weekly payroll for +/- 20 employees. It takes about 10 minutes start to finish. All of my direct deposit and taxes are taken care of for me which is a huge time saver. Cons Terminating an employee doesn't save a term date so that is annoying. Customer service is a bit slow but still good. We have been very happy with Patriot and intend to be with them a long time. Pros I own two companies and after moving one to Patriot Payroll, it was an easy decision to move the other. The online interface is easy and intuitive, support has always been prompt and correct, and tax compliance is accurate. Cons I really don’t have any cons at this time. They answer quickly, they talk to me, not over my head and not like I don't know anything. They are very respectful and take the time to ensure I understand. Cons I have not been with patriot that long but so far the only complaint is that I wish I found it sooner. Patriot is everything I want in a payroll service. Making the switch is always painful, but well worth it once everything is set up. Patriot's customer service is top notch. Pros Very easy interface on the website and excellent customer service. Cons A little tricky to customize the payroll for not frequently used occurrences, i. e. making year end payroll adjustments.
