We really enjoy the program. Pros It's hard to choose just one thing, every feature is very helpful. The calendar and the notes are nice to have to remember who is needing what and when we last spoke with the client. The invoice process is easy and the option to import from the worksheet is a big time saver! Having the "paid" mark is a nice way to give the client a receipt. We highly recommend Acculynx and are glad we chose to go with it! Cons At first it was a little challenging added the crews to the mobile app, and figuring that out but we re-scheduled a short training and was able to get the help we needed. It works decent on a computer but as a traveling salesman going door to door I really carry my computer with me as I’m knocking Pros The app manages all your documents and pictures and client Info in one place which is nice Cons The app is slow. Do you why is horrible. And the message board on the app is the absolute worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with in my entire life. Trying to tag the right people becomes tedious and very annoying. I really don’t like how when someone puts a new message on my messages it shows me the original message then when I click on that message it doesn’t take me to the same thread just drive straight to the bottom of the messages. Cons Pictures do not load up. Even with full bars/hooked up to Wi-Fi. Have to upload pictures numerous times to get them to load into files. Have many picture files that have not loaded up that have been critical. I’ve called numerous times about this issue and nothing has been resolved. Been having this issue for years. Pros how all talks to each other and you can have it execute tasks for you automatically. Also like that it is integrated/ synced with one of our current supplier Cons so far I have not been getting the best assistance with my questions. the training videos are on pint and some are very helpful but when I got hooked up with a trainer, it seems like she barley knew all details that are provided in the training videos. Cons It is hard to use. Sometimes it is very complicated to get where you need and have many steps that make everything more complicated (Ex. entering a new contact to the directory). I don't like that you can't delete your own comments on the messages section. I also think templates are difficult to create and update. Administrative Assistant Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Pretty Sweet" October 20, 2020 4.0 Overall, I would say the software is pretty great. A few tweaks here and there and it could really be way above the rest. Pros The software as a whole has a pretty user-friendly set up. I think the dashboard is probably my favorite part personally because it just gives you a great snapshot of everything that is going on in real time. Any tab or screen you go to is very easy to figure out with just a few clicks. Cons So far, I think the thing I least like about this software is the way you handle a change order. I think a change order should have an extra tab on the Contract page within the job and there should be a way to track them and submit within the job. Also, the permit tracking I would say leaves a little to be desired. I think it should be a little more customizable, especially in regards to municipalities. For example, there could be a drop down to select where the permit is being pulled so that you can run reports and be able to plan your runs accordingly. Super easy to use and customer support will gladly help you figure out anything that you might be struggling with. Pros This is by far the best and easiest to use software for running a roofing company. It really helps you keep everything so organized and on schedule and with the ability to always quickly have everything you need. It has been critical to take business to the next level. Cons Really no complaints with this, some things may take longer to figure out how to fully take maximum advantage of but it really can do everything I need it to. Pros I like the all the features i learned to use so far. The automation at milestone changes the material lists order function, Estimating features, preload templets. Cons Its a pain to add custom labor charges and custom material thats pretty standard in the industry. Drywall repair is a frequent request or accidential job cost and adding it to the estimate is pain staking. I would like the ability to just use job cost and have my mark up configured into each item. Lacks a bit on the accounting side and how it interacts with Quickbooks. also, would like more specific permissions so we can restrict users easier. Cons the programmers do not understand accounting or take that into account when they make changes which have caused problems for us. would like to be on a user committee that reviews or tests changes before they are made to ensure no accounting issues. changes are made without notification. permissions/restrictions are very vague so it is difficult to restrict users. It was a huge problem not being able to keep files current in the office. It is an ongoing challenge to scan everything in to a file, but when it is in the file and you need it in the Customers home, it is always at my fingertips on my mobile phone or iPad. Pros The Lead Management Systems, the invoicing is the best I have ever seen. AccuLynx has thought of everything. We depend on everyone in the company the company knowing what is going on with each job in Sales, Owner, Administration and Production departments. I also love being able to text straight from a customer file to communicate with them. Also, the reports are amazing, I can see my Sales Report , My A/R aging- whatever I need is available. Pros I like that it is user-friendly, has good reports, and you can communicate through it. Cons I wish it were more adaptable for each particular company (ability to change what things are called on the system and ability to choose what flows into the invoice). We had to get an additional license on QuickBooks for Web Connector to work properly, at a additional cost, which we were not anticipating. When invoices are synced from the Estimate, the title is pulled into the description instead of the details that the salesmen enter, which is useless, because then I have to type it all in. Also, I wish that email responses would come back into Acculynx so that full communication theads could be recorded there. Lastly, I wish that you could edit messages because when you have to write an additional message to correct errors, it leaves room for confusion and possibly more errors on the part of the reader. We would like to see improvements on the estimation side as well as the accounting and Quickbooks integration. Pros The Field side of this software works well, scheduling the jobs, managing subcontractors, and job site coordination. The CRM side of this software enhances the project experience for the customers and streamlines the process for our staff. Cons The integration with Quickbooks is not ideal. It does not transfer data back and forth with customers already in Quickbooks. Therefore, you end up with duplicate customers. The customer setup in Acculynx does not match the setup in Quickbooks so customer information is transferred over oddly plus, it does not list the physical address in the customer setup but only lists a project # (i.e. if the project owner is for a company their name and address is transferred but if the work was completed at an address that is managed by the company it only lists that as a project #) so when you are searching for a customer you have to go into each project # to figure out which is the correct address. This is also true for commercial projects where you have a project owner and a different physical address.) Finally, the invoicing and payments processes are clunky and add additional work than the current process in Quickbooks. Although, our Quickbooks integration is still an issue. Pros I love the Action Items it has helped my staff stay on track of our Pipeline. Also, the job costing on the reports tab has never been so easy! Cons We do feel we should have been offered more extensive training sessions to understand more in depth on the Tools and Production tabs. We do experience issues with quickbooks about every 3rd customer we transfer in our pipeline. Pros It's real time. You can create a file (Lead) the first time you meet someone whether it be standing at their front door, met in the coffee shop/restaurant, or on the phone. If the lead develops into a Prospect and you go to the residence and asses the damage you can take your pictures for documentation purposes and upload them to the file while sitting in front of the customers house. The office has all of the same information, including conversations noted in messages before the field rep. pulls away from the curb. It's a matter of if Acculynx is being used to it's full potential will you really see how efficient it can be. Cons It's very important that the pictures upload in the order in which they were taken so that anyone can look at the damage report and follow along by looking at the pictures in order with the report. When I upload pictures from my phone they go in random locations and make it difficult to follow along with the report. Review Source AF Anthony F.
