Comments: TanCap will only get worse the more years one plays in it. This is because every year you are in it, the law of large numbers will make it more and more difficult to improve your Tencap score. My senior league plays 16 weeks. So after 2 years, 32 matches, or 3 years, 48 matches, it will be virtually impossible to ever change your score by much. If each year or seasons rolled the score as if it was just one match, players could move their score down more readily. Likewise, ageing players scores would more appropriately go up. For example, a player after a few years in this system will not see any change either way due to the calculation including every year's matches. Our club is already seeing players drop out.

My club, Lifetime Fitness uses it.

Comments: I have not run across a single player or pro at any of the clubs that likes this system. It does not correspond well to USTA ratings and people are quitting in house leagues within the club to exclusively play USTA teams specifically because they dislike the tencap system.
