I'm overall really satisfied with SharePoint, use it on a daily basis and share lots of data with my team mates.

Pros

Ease of deployment and access to the files is something that this platform does perfectly. You also get to store and share large files and easily set permissions.

Cons

As it is internet dependant it gets stuck and slow sometimes, also sharing a large files can get tricky.

Cons

Nothing to dislike its a great internal tool. It does not seem to get in the way of anything nor does it slow down work.

Its a powerful tool for managing and storing large data and is a must for advanced Information technology firms.

Pros

It's one of the best product of Microsoft, Employees can now easily share their important documents with clients and that to with a high level of security. The software is integrated with other Microsoft products which makes it easy to use at all levels. Also, the software is cloud-based so we can easily assess the documents whenever we want also the possibility of data loss is minimal.

Cons

For using this application one definitely needs some training also the configuration of all settings takes time. The application is not owners who are not familiar with technology and wants a quick solution for their businesses, One as to invest in learning the overall functions of the application.

With great UI/UX, SharePoint is a great offering from Microsoft, making file sharing and management possible across the organization. File sharing is fast with sent receipt notifications via email. Sharepoint can also be integrated to the onedrive folder.

Cons

Nothing to dislike or hate about it. It gets the job done.

Hard to edit the names of pages. I often found I would have to start from scratch to make any major changes to naming conventions.

SharePoint publicizes the various services offered throughout the organization. You are able to to more easily connect with individuals throughout the organization and find POCs.

Pros

I am able to create multiple sites/pages that are linked and that I can follow. Everything is interconnected which makes it easier to find people and information within the organization.

Cons

Features are limited and there is a lot of manual update involved. There should be options to link to data sources that can automate updates.

Collaboration to its core SharePoint is available if you have access to Office 365(low cost) Has an internal, intelligent search engine built in It’s quick and easy to add content Document management is streamlined Automation, External access can be also used for internal socializing

Cons

Sometimes search is not that friendly When you choose internal implementation too costly Poor social elements for Intranet

All in all I'd use Google docs over this as there are too many frustrations with SharePoint.

Pros

SharePoint is good for storage, has some benefits for collaboration, and even some benefits for sharing files.

Cons

The online editors leave quite a bit to be desired. Some core functionality is missing (selecting all sheets in an excel doc to search the whole workbook for instance) and I have someone who regularly shares documents with me as part of a group that ALWAYS has to reshare it with just me for me to be able to see and edit.

Pros

I appreciate how Sharepoint has a lot of utility as a way companies can share information. The primary function we use it for is to facilitate referrals between two different offices, and it works really well for that purpose.

Cons

Sometimes the system can be bit counter-intuitive in how it works. It also seems to require a bit of training to utilize fully so the type of software anyone can start using to its fullest potential.

Pros

Cloud based file storage makes life easier for project teams. Stable, accessed via browser and integrated within an organisation makes it simple to play nicely with others. Easier to use than MS Teams.

Cons

It can be confusing when using it within an organisation and they are using a mix of local storage, server, and MS Teams.

SharePoint is a very fast and safe way to exchange files and maintain organized documents.

Pros

Uploading and opening files is quick and easy. By giving access permission you can control who sees what. It's an easy and secure way to manage files when working with larger groups.

Cons

The user interface could be more intuitive, I sometimes have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. Also editing on the web version could be easier, the check in-check out feature can cause problems sometimes.

Classic SharePoint had a much steeper learning curve to use but the modern SharePoint has been cleaned up and improved greatly. There are still features or plugins I would love to see but overall it is very easy to use and adds the final piece to our company's desire to modernize our processes.

Pros

Being in the Microsoft suite of tools for a O365 deployment obviously is a huge strength for this software. It has easy integrations with many of the other Microsoft tools and looks very up to date in the style of pages that are so easy to make. From a security standpoint, it is also relatively easy to ensure all users are provisioned properly and getting access to everything they need.

Cons

As a developer there are many things that I find to be un-intuitive about making pages and content. Often I am looking to tweak something a little bit to better fit our company style but cannot do so without a lot of time or money investment. While I understand the desire to simplify for less technical users, I appreciated that SharePoint classic allowed for more developer control.

Pretty good experience , document storage , task tracking and if org not ready for any process tools like jira etc. Share Point can be used as a stepping stone.

Pros

Easy to use, our org uses this to store documents , easy to share among team members. Anyone can update documents within team. Easy to use calendar feature , team’s upcoming PTO or any scheduled activity can be updated and referred from Share point calendar.

Cons

Nothing major. Unique auto generated ID of the item not seem in the form when you open the item of share point list .

I like the collaboration aspect and the common access to documents, this allows my team to work together on creating documents for presentations or more reporting style documents

Using the Sharepoint by itself with out the Teams layer it looks a bit out dated to me, just the designs

Pros

There are controls in place that prevent users from wiping out entire file folders with an accidental click, which I unfortunately saw happen more than once when storing files to shared drives. Much easier to find and organize files than using something like drop box.

Cons

When exporting data from a table, you do not have the ability to download the filtered version of the table you are viewing. You must switch to an "all items" tab and download the entire file, then refilter the data a second time.

Access control and current version files available to all members with easy permission levels for different pages within the team site.

Pros

Straight out of the box, a number of team members can be access central resources for documents, images, videos etc, meaning the typical small business, laptop based team, do not have to end up with resources saved in the default windows folder on the pc. This avoids duplication, multiple versions of shared files and solves a GDPR issue.

Cons

Seems to have less functionality than previous versions.

Pros

The sharing network, because with it you can share and work from anywhere. Considering that the system is easy to use, in my day to day this system helps me keep information safe and fast.

Cons

As it is a system that depends on the internet, when it is weak, the network fluctuates a lot.
