### "One of the best CMS Software for businesses to manage work digitally"

May 28, 2022

5.0

I'm very much satisfied and happy to use Microsoft SharePoint. it's really simple and convenient for sharing my work with other team members in one centralized place and it allows us to create, manage, and track all articles from one location.

Pros

The most impactful feature I liked about it is the super easy website-making process. It lets you make a site in two categories - communication and team site which makes it super easy for content management.

Cons

I love this software but sometimes it slows down with the sharing file process and with the third-party integration process.

### "A great collaboration tool."

Pros

The product is very easy to use. File sharing and collaboration on projects is very easy irrespective of distance.

Cons

The need to sometimes drill down within folders. A file tree would allow one to instantly see the folder one is interested in.

### "Microsoft SharePoint - Central Repository & Game Changer for Projects"

December 30, 2021

4.0

Overall experience is a 5 out of 5. Ease of use and ability to organize the teams is a game changer for our company.

Pros

Integration with the rest of our internal apps was straight forward and completed with little to no effort. My favorite feature within the software is having home pages and sub-pages for all departments and on-going projects that I can quickly navigate between as needed regardless of my location.

Cons

There are no features currently missing that our company is utilizing the offering for.

### "Brilliant tool for Collaboration, Knowledgement, Document sharing and many other things"

April 9, 2022

5.0

We are able to work much more efficiently and coherently as we are able to share files and documents quickly. With the seamless integration with Teams, communication is simple and clear.

Pros

So many brilliant features and uses of Sharepoint. Brilliant for Knowledge Management, Document Storage, Collaboration, etc. Compatibility with all Microsoft software and applications makes life so easy. In general, ease of use, reliability, trustworthiness, well supported (internally), continuing to get better and the vast array of features make it the go to tool for Collaboration.

Cons

Sometimes it does too much. That's actually not a criticism, but shows its versatility and breadth,

### "The Future Software Point of Sharing a Perfect Collaborative Tool to make an Awesome Organization!"

Pros

\+ Creating a new SharePoint site/app/directory is very easy and manageable. Users need to request the access before using the website or owner can manage how and whom to give what permission level of access on each site. + We could inherit permissions from top level site or we can manage permissions separately to each individual sub sites. + Permissions on each document level! Jaw Dropping feature of genius. + It has a plenty amount of features to choose from and you can customize each app to fit your business needs. + You can also add sandbox solution based or script based jssor/jsom apps to each SharePoint site. + Very easy to share files and information across our organization. + Perfect for document management and storage system for employees of many locations. Syncing the SharePoint content is a nice feature. + Uploading/Checking in thousands of documents at one click with the help of explorer is definitely something special. + Connecting SharePoint calendars to your Outlook calendar will make your work life easy. + SharePoint Designer, Info path, Nintex, K2 all are bonus to have for OOTB Workflow configurations. + Content management Checkin, Checkout, Publish, Approve/Reject features are nice features to have on each document. + Not only Search, You can even do Filters among search results. + Not only Filters, You can do Best Bets on search results. + What is more, All search results are very fast across the whole website.

Cons

A humble advice to Microsoft SharePoint team! since we can't host External websites on cloud, It will be good if they come up with Team Communication sites, Forms apps within On Premises. Comments from Anonymous users on our SharePoint Blogs: If we have the ability to get comments/likes from anonymous users outside our organization it would be helpful for organizations which are depending on SharePoint On Premises version because of PPI (Personal Protected Information) data. In Overall, There isn't anything to dislike about it, to be honest it is everything we've expected it to be.

### "Works for me! But it took me a while to get there."

October 21, 2021

5.0

Overall, I am very happy with SharePoint as a tool within an enterprise system.

Pros

SharePoint is really awesome as part of our company's enterprise package. I never tried it outside of an enterprise environment, but I am sure it would be just as good for personal and small-business applications. As an enterprise solution, SharePoint's biggest benefit is the seamless integration with all of Microsoft's products. Our company uses Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office 365, and Azure to run day-to-day business and SharePoint connects every aspect of our work. As a graphic designer, I am constantly uploading drafts and project files to the cloud, and SharePoint makes it easy for me to share and organize the files with stakeholders with ease. I particularly love how inserting a URL into an email automatically converts the URL to the title of the document! It's a small thing... but a fantastic user experience. There is a lot of control for each document you upload, including privacy permissions, editing with Office 365, and history tracking (great feature).

Cons

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to its robust UI. And it took me about a month to become really good with it. Unlike Google Drive, SharePoint does not feel as easy to use... and that maybe because of how more complex it is.

### "Capable tool for putting away and sharing the document."

February 3, 2022

5.0

I've as of late been assessing SharePoint to decide whether it is a powerful way for our organization to share delicate reports inside and remotely with different clients associated with our undertakings. It helps appear to be our tool for sharing files safely so we have chosen to go with it. Everything looks OK. I will say that a large portion of similar elements is accessible through Google Docs for nothing at the end of the day, it was the entire bundle that SharePoint is essential for that persuaded us to move our work area into it for accommodation and consistency.

Pros

1\. Multi-purpose functionality built-in 2. Centralized administration. 3. Customizable. 4. Document management and collaboration. 5. Site consolidation. 6. Integration with your existing apps. 7. Enhanced security. 8. Ease of use and design assistance.

Cons

1\. It's complicated. 2. Not built for the end-user. 3. Low employee uptake. 4. Extra support needed

### "Corporate File Sharing System"

April 10, 2021

5.0

My experience with SharePoint has been positive as it allows for the central storage of all business-related documents and permissions. It removes the need for duplicate emails with huge files. Alternatively, we easily upload files and swap a SharePoint link, which we can all use at the same time. The user interface is fantastic but requires training for beginners. Overall, getting it is a smart thing because it helps with tracking.

Pros

SharePoint is an excellent tool, but due to a large number of features, it can easily be overlooked by those new to the app. The thing I loved about SharePoint is that you can easily upload documents, and search the documents. This made it easier for users to upload files easily and share a link to the file. Using this platform allowed quick access to files from any location, which was previously not possible due to files being stored on a local server.

Cons

I had difficulties setting up local use/offline SharePoint, which proved to be a concern, but the online version works well. Another problem I discovered with the program is that it becomes difficult to trace files as many people upload them.

Alternatives considered

[Google Drive](https://www.capterra.com/p/161425/Drive/)

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

Google Drive lacks certain features that SharePoint has. The ability to build different templates for different projects, delegate tasks, assign appropriate roles to users, and upload documents easily. Another advantage of SharePoint that Google Drive lacks is access to a number of web pages and the ability to create a corporate portal.

### "Condivisione di documenti facile e veloce"

October 10, 2022

4.0

Cons

Le ridotte possibilità di 'personalizzazione' delle pagine. Le limitate funzioni dei workflow nativi.

### "Great Collaboration Tool"

November 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

This feature has many easy-to-use features (like version tracking) that use the "set it and forget it" mentality. The ability to change permissions from a folder down to an individual document is essential. Easy to collaborate for a team that is located in diverse geographical locations.

Cons

Definite lag when accessing and editing documents in the online version rather than when opening them in the app version. Some features (like calendar) are not intuitive.

### "SharePoint Works the Way People Do"

September 30, 2022

3.0

With SharePoint, we have increased the accuracy of our team communications, which increases the accuracy and speed of what we create. There's no more snow-storm of documents, files, data, code blocks, etc., flying around, and we have much better control of everything that IS there. Also, we feel it works WITH us. We did not have to learn an entirely new way of collaborating.

Pros

That it appears to have been developed by people who then had to actually USE it. Many of their features are ones that would not otherwise be in the software, in my opinion. Also, it seems to have been designed by people who were not trying to invent a new paradigm, but instead to enable other smart people to collaborate and reap the synergies that it can create.

Cons

The access control interface offers lots of flexibility, but sometimes the tradeoff is that you lose the ability to do simple things easily. It just took us a while to 'get it'.

### "I like that it is modern, comprehensive and safe for everyone."

March 3, 2022

5.0

I have been using MS Sharepoint for almost two years, at the beginning it took me a little time to get familiar with this "intranet" world, and nowadays we access the platform daily, it is a very complete tool with several functions in one place, besides being an important source of information and updates for workers and collaborators, we do not only manage and upload files.

Pros

It has many functions and synchronizes very well with other Microsoft services, it is an excellent collaboration tool. It has the ability to share large files. I can lock a file once it is finished or make the file uneditable if a user is not logged in. You can add a number of people to a specific project. With permissions management you can control what others can see and do in a document. The ability for multiple users to edit or share documents in real time is also great.

Cons

The more "advanced" settings are hardly intuitive and the user interface may not be that easy to navigate for newcomers, I would like to see it simplified a bit more.

### "SharePoint: Secure and Organized Document Management"

July 29, 2022

5.0

Our whole company transitioned to Microsoft SharePoint, but I've found the service to be fairly user-friendly and easy to learn.

Pros

SharePoint is a streamlined document management service. Our company migrated from Google over to SharePoint in search of a more secure service. Our data was easily transitioned over, and it has been easy for us to organize and share this content. The file sharing functionalities greatly benefit our marketing team since we collaborate within our company so much.

Cons

SharePoint has some limitations. It is now harder for us to share documents with external parties (adds to the internal security though). Additionally, I wish that it was easier to search for SharePoint files in an internet browser. Sometimes the difference between opening a file in the browser and in the application is frustrating.

### "Good Functionality, but Ease of Use Is a Drawback"

October 30, 2019

4.0

Considering both the positives and negatives, I think Sharepoint is a fairly decent tool for what it offers. We went from using exclusively Google's products to Sharepoint, but I still find myself going back to Google Drive, etc. for a good portion of my work. It's not that Sharepoint is explicitly bad by any means--in fact, there are a few things that it does really well. It's just that given the choice between Google's suite and Sharepoint, I find Google's easier to use and less "packed". Using Sharepoint is like shopping for cereal with 50 different choices, whereas using Google is like shopping for cereal with only 5 different choices. It might seem great to have 50 choices on the surface, but you soon find yourself in the middle of the aisle unable to make a decision because of the myriad of potential choices you could make. I'd like to again stress that Sharepoint is not a bad tool. It's just ok. If you're currently using Google's suite of products and are happy with it, I don't see any point in switching to Sharepoint. If you're looking for a wider variety of features than Google's suite, Sharepoint would be a great choice.

Pros

I like the ability to quickly share, access, and retrieve documents that my team and I use on a weekly basis. It's nice having one place where everything is stored, and that I don't have to go to multiple storage locations to get what I need. The versatility of Sharepoint is also a bright spot. I can upload just about anything, and the storage structure is intuitive enough that I can find pretty much anything I need without a direct link to the file or folder.

Cons

The UI can be confusing at times. It was confusing at first on how to navigate back to top level folders or storage locations after diving a few levels deep, and figuring out how to access the file options (delete, share, etc.) wasn't clear on the first use. I had to click around a bit in order to find what I needed. Another point on the UI is that while it seems to have gotten a makeover in recent months, there are still holdovers from a time where it seemed that "sleek and modern" was not the order of the day--I'm specifically referring to the Permissions and Access Requests screen that I had to use in order to allow people from other parts of the company access to my team's documentation and files. It can also be somewhat "clunky" and slow when processing requests, but I'm not sure if that is a function of the software itself, it's cloud-based nature, or just my company's internet acting up again. The amount of "fluff" in the feature-set I've come across is substantial. It's nice to have the versatility provided, but I think where Google's suite of products really shines is that it gives you exactly what you need, and no more. With Sharepoint, it seems like there are a multitude of features that are available but won't actively be used. For example, the homepage customization is robust, but if no one is going to use it past a basic level, what's the point of having all the extra tools? It only confuses users and adds to a subtle sense of overwhelm when using the product

### "Great for collaboration and storage, but syncing needs work"

March 1, 2022

4.0

SharePoint basically serves as our company's shared HDD. We store all documents on SharePoint and share with others as needed. We have had issues with the sync to HDD/SDD and while it has gotten better over the years it still remains a pain point.

Pros

SharePoint is a one-stop place for pretty much everything project related. Our entire company is based on SharePoint and we do not need any local servers/storage. It is easy to manage users and create new sites/project folders and keep everything together so we can collaborate.

Cons

The thing I like least about SharePoint is the syncing of folders to a desktop/HDD/HDD. It has routinely caused issues and versioning problems. I have actively been trying to get employees to switch to online access only.

### "Cloud Software at its Best!"

April 17, 2022

5.0

The experience of using this software has been genuinely pleasing, it works efficeintly, makes collaboration remotely a great experience and does have enough features that make you productive overall.

Pros

The most important feature of this software is the ability to get started with it alomst at the same time as deployement. The user interface is minimal and mirrors what you would find on your desktop so only with a minor tinkering you are able to effectively execute tasks here. Intergration with the overall MS Office enviroment makes using the software a breeze.

Cons

The simplicity of this software sometimes asks you for more. Opening files on cloud makes them a little laggy and that can be improved.

### "SharePoint can be a game changer."

October 6, 2022

5.0

SharePoint has allow me to manage multi million dollar programs with fewer people (cost) than before and provide better customer service and improved response to the customer. (Value)

Pros

What I liked most was the ability to have virtually all my program information in one place organized in the way my customer viewed the program. I could quickly access historical documents; slice and dice financial information on a dime; share the exact information around the world; and reduce cost for the company all at the same time.

Cons

The data visualization features could be improved. Also your network administrator must allow SharePoint to interface with corporate services if you want to use the automated update features.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

We chose SharePoint because it was bundled with the corporate MS license. So there was no additional cost to implement other than the learning curve. Took about 6 months before it started making a difference. After 18 months we couldn't live without it.

### "Great software for team collaboration from several company sites"

May 2, 2022

4.0

The software is great to use if you have a wide-spread team and need a single working space where everyone can work in.

Pros

I like most about this software that many people from different company sites can work together on single documents without having to share them per email and align the different inputs then later on.

Cons

Live tracking of changes is difficult if people are working on the same document section for example.

### "Easy for everyone"

February 22, 2022

4.0

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint is excellent collaboration software. The platform is customizable and highly organized. The one major plus point is that you can edit the Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint files online without downloading an offline copy, and the collaborators can see changes in real-time. It integrates nicely with the entire Microsoft Suite - providing users a good experience.

Cons

While the simplified layout makes SharePoint user-friendly, there are not many bells and whistles to make the aesthetics anything of note. From my own personal use, there are some limitations with organizing resulting from this as well.

### "Get Ahead of the Competition with Microsoft SharePoint"

Pros

### "Comprehensive, safe, efficient. "

January 14, 2022

4.0

What can I say about this product... it has brought me many advantages in my work performance, it is a centralized space where documents can be managed and shared in many ways thanks to its functions, it allows quick access from any location, among other things, I hope my review will be useful for those looking for a tool like MS Sharepoint.

Pros

The best thing about Sharepoint is its versatility, not only is it a great product for storing and collaborating files and data, but also for keeping a work team on top of everything, where the most relevant information is concentrated. At first the interface was a bit complex for me, but once I mastered the software it helped me work smoothly and above all save me time. I love being able to organize my space by folders and subgroups to which others have access. In case of audits and the like, it solves the aspect of having everything concentrated and comprehensive. It has the ability to share very large files in a short time. It is collaborative, automated and at the same time controlled. Data entry and migration, unlike other platforms, is easy to perform. Granting permissions, distributing documents and updates is very easy since it can be done by groups of contacts and not one by one.

Cons

Some functions and settings need intuitive descriptions to make it less confusing for the user. Advanced configurations depend on the IT department. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about its performance.

On daily basis, I am required to access SharePoint for project and organization level work, overall it is quite good to have for any organization which makes collaboration and integration very quick and worthy.

Pros

Sharepoint has been integrated with our organisation system so all the project related or the organisational level information links shared through the SP links, which makes easier for everyone to refer anytime in future as well. We can term it as "Master repository " for the Data. Pros: Security is very good as it has grant permission feature with multiple options Last Used/Edited with name and date, easy to track changes

Cons

When having too many files in one folder, to load it will take some time and eve when we hit search and if that document is far in the list then it will show as "No matching result found"

### "Une plateforme de collaboration complète et efficace"

February 17, 2023
