### "File Sharing and Storage Done Right"

January 25, 2022

5.0

When it comes to SharePoint we use it for document storage/management and collaboration. Our particular department is 100% paperless and this has become our "Go To" solution for managing/storage of all of our documents. The ease of use and accessibility for employees is not only a great feature but invaluable to our organizational operations.

Pros

The ease of use is a big selling point of this product. The ability to collaborate with numerous departments/persons in our organization is also a great feature. In addition to standard document sharing and storage we use SharePoint for publishing numerous documents to our intranet web page for use by all of our organizations employees to be able to access documents in a convenient way.

Cons

There currently is nothing that i can think of that i do not like about SharePoint as this is our primary document storage/management system we have used for years. While i am not aware of any other software that does this, i can say it does everything that we need it to do.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

I was not involved in the selection process. if i had to hazard a guess it would probably ease of use and seamless integration with all of our other Microsoft products.

### "Small Business Sys Admin - Sharepoint"

September 15, 2021

4.0

Pros

Since Sharepoint online is being provided with my O365 licensing the cost is irrelevant making it an easy first choice but in addition the O365 integration means AD user management is equally appealing.

Cons

Transitioning users to leverage sharepoint is probably my biggest difficulty right now. I feel that users are unfamiliar with Sharepoint enough that a video demonstrating the transition from traditional / non-microsoft platforms to the use of Sharepoint would be helpful. I have yet to find a video that satisfies that.

### "Sharepoint, necessary, complex, challenging, and a huge box of nice tools"

January 22, 2022

4.0

I have 12 years relationship with SharePoint, some of hate and love experience, it is a huge tool, it is hard not to have it, it is challenging to have it, but, it does solve or give you a great set of tools and connection to your organization and stakeholders. It is better to have experience and learning than support and central management, but it can get very tricky used globally.

Pros

IT has a lot of options, flexible, and endless possibilities, customized or centralized management, compatibility with active directory and pc images, and networks

Cons

It can get maratonical, so much options give the user a lot of space, that then cannot maintained , and getting dependent of it can get out of hands

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

I wouldn't recommend it on small startups, it is always there on global organizations

### "Decent Intranet option if you have Office 365"

February 17, 2022

3.0

For what we pay for Office 365, it makes sense to use Sharepoint as the cost is included with our licensing. However, I highly recommend training before using Sharepoint as it can be a bit tricky and can be problematic if you have a lot of users not knowing what they are doing. Like the Version Limits, it's great that every time any change is made to a document, it gets saved. However, when it hits it version limit, learning the process of publishing a Major Version takes some practice to get used to.

Pros

It integrates well with other software and set up is fairly easy.

Cons

Can be a bit clunky and the search function is almost useless.

### "Sharepoint "

September 18, 2022

4.0

The organization is now saving much through collaboration functionality as people can work without travelling to meet. Access control is also one of our biggest wins from SharePoint. We now have control on who to share content with

Pros

MS SharePoint is a great tool. The fact that you can access it from anywhere from any device is great. Gone are the days when people had to travel and book conference rooms for report writing, they can now do it from different geographical locations. The tool is very easy to use you can navigate your way through SharePoint without being capacitated

Cons

So far I seem to like everything about the SharePoint

### "I'm glad we use SharePoint at my work."

February 10, 2022

4.0

Keeping up to date in a work team and being updated on important company issues is a must if you want to work in harmony, MS Sharepoint offers dynamic and proactive sites to groups, it also facilitates the search for information, with its effective search modules.

Pros

I use SharePoint on a daily basis and I must say it has been easy, it is relatively more customizable and intuitive than other tools (Learning curve is not very tedious, as it follows a similar format to the rest of the Microsoft suite.) The newsfeed is very useful to see my coworkers' updates, share ideas and observations. It is also configurable, and I can change what I share in the newsfeed. Another favorite aspect is the calendar; important dates, new hires and days off are all marked in one place so we are all on the ball. \*Large amount of functions for document management \*Automation, Diverse and flexible administration options. \*You can collaborate securely on both PC and mobile devices.

Cons

Editing an already loaded document is a bit complicated, I don't like that aspect.

### "A professional document sharing and collaboration tool "

September 12, 2018

4.0

I've recently been evaluating SharePoint to determine if it is an effective way for our company to share sensitive documents internally and externally with other users involved in our projects. It does seem to be a solid tool for sharing documents securely so we have decided to go with it. So far, so good. I will say that most of the same features are available through Google Docs for free but ultimately, it was the whole package that SharePoint is part of that convinced us to move our workspace into it for the sake of convenience and consistency.

Pros

This software allows you to share your documents, edit and collaborate with other users anywhere in the world in real time, securely. It's an amazing thing when you can see who is currently viewing and editing a document and everything anyone does is automatically saved and secure within the group it is shared with. SharePoint helps save an incredible amount of time and makes remote meetings much more productive. One of the possible drawbacks is that it seems to be limited to people who also use Sharepoint and live in the Microsoft community of software but I recently learned that you can share with people who don't have Microsoft accounts by providing them with a security key to access the documents. It becomes a two step process for them to accept the document and then get the key to enter but at least it is possible and this makes sure your documents remain secure.

Cons

It is possible to share with people who aren't part of your network or even Microsoft's network but again, it takes extra steps. Also, there are settings that enable or disable the feature and it is not very clear where the settings are or how to use all the different share options. It took some trial and error, testing and talks with Microsoft support before we were comfortable that it could do what we needed it to do and how to do it. Even after all of that, it is still a bit unclear when certain options should be used but I suppose that could be considered a benefit of the software's flexibility to do the similar things with different methods.

### "Microsoft SHAREPOINT review"

September 18, 2022

5.0

Absolutely fantastic.

Pros

I feel my work life is now incomplete without this tool. I save everything on SP and remain so much at peace. It is the most important tool that most of us have started to take for granted. Most important features are: Sharing, collaboration, security and saving documents across teams.

Cons

I cant think of anything that I don't like about this software. without this I can function.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

the only other alternative I had was to save stuff on my hard drive or One Drive. Hard Drive is not as safe as SHAREPOINT. Also in order to collaborate SHAPREPOINT offers all the needed flexibility and on top is also searchable through MICROSFOT SEARCH in BING.

### "Best suited for complex organizations"

January 13, 2022

3.0

SharePoint works passably well in a large, centralized organization. It does not work so well when rapid, dynamic versioning is needed for a small group.

Pros

Sharepoint offers a viable alternative to other cloud-based document sharing platforms with the added bonuc that it integrates fairly well with Teams.

Cons

Unless you have a dedicated IT support staff, this is a flat out beast to configure properly. With multiple collaborators version tracking is cumbersome and frustrating.

I use Microsoft SharePoint as Database and Cloud. Documents are classified in folders according to project implementation level, and in each level, there a specific section for M&E

Security and protection of document. You can access your documents by signing in your account even if you lost your computer. That was my experience.

Cons

Sometimes Microsoft SharePoint create multiple version of the same file automatically especially when you have internet issue.

### "Office version"

November 22, 2021

5.0

Although its costs are high and it is complicated and slow to install, it gives me the opportunity to work with office documents without having it installed, and its storage in the cloud gives me peace of mind and it is backed by Microsoft for me it is enough.

Pros

It is usually one of the best options when choosing a virtual storage, since documents and data can be stored safely. It has an office package which manages files with Word, exel, power point formats, among others. It allows several users to work on a common document through the corporate internet. Microsoft offers new versions at no additional cost to all of its users.

Cons

A specific server must be installed, it must be in interaction with company devices through the IP address and this task could take between 1 and 2 months. It can only be accessed through the disk where it is installed and does not allow the user to use it from where they are. The user cannot deactivate the session whenever he wishes, leaving the session open at all times. It is tedious to install and expensive to maintain.

### "Great Platform"

March 10, 2022

4.0

Overall, I do like this platform--it is helpful for an agency that is large and where we have offices nationally.

Pros

What I enjoy most about Microsoft SharePoint is the ability to have a space for documents that are accessible to all staff and also select staff. Collaboration is much easier through SharePoint than through email.

Cons

What I like least is that file sharing links do not follow files if there is any change (file renamed, moved). There are also some annoyances with granting permissions.

### "From the Ground Up"

January 31, 2022

4.0

Overall, I am very pleased with what I have been able to learn from and create with SharePoint. There are ups and downs, but many of the cons are more preference than necessity.

Pros

Being someone who has not gone to school or had much formal training in web design, Sharepoint started as a learning experience. We switched from using a WordPress-made site and attempted to recreate the content within SharePoint. At first, this seemed daunting, but I found that I quickly found answers to almost every question I had through the amazing support articles and forums. Through trial and error, I have set up a functioning and organized site for our company that has consolidated our internal content. I am very pleased with the ease of use from both a user and admin perspective. The consistent communication and updates from Microsoft are great.

Cons

With a current emphasis on branding initiatives, our company sees a growing need to have consistency across all of the platforms we use. Though there are many customization options within SharePoint, there is room for more. Being able to add our own fonts natively on the site or adding more advanced web parts would bring the program up another level. With the out-of-the-box web parts, we can accomplish what is needed to set up the site, but having more options would allow for a much better user experience and a more modern look to the site.

### "Great sharing tool"

October 14, 2021

5.0

I have a good working material thanks to Microsoft SharePoint. I use it in my collaboration with my clients. It allows me to share easily and it saves me time.

Pros

In addition to being easy to use Microsoft SharePoint allows you to share extremely large documents. What I also like about this product is that it allows you to add multiple people to a particular project. Each person can work on a similar report simultaneously. The automatic saving is also one of the things I like. It allows me to not worry if my computer shuts down and my work isn't saved.

Cons

Sometimes the resumption of the synchronization after a network problem goes wrong and the folders which are in failure of synchronization often remain in red. It is necessary to launch the manual synchronization or to copy the folder to solve the problem. Sometimes I delete files and they reappear the next day in the folder. I tried to delete them but they were deleted only two days later. Maybe it was a bug.

### "Good for Consistent Groups"

June 30, 2022

4.0

Overall, SharePoint is a fantastic tool for sharing and collaborating on content within a set group of people. If you want to share content regularly with folks outside of that group, use OneDrive.

Pros

SharePoint is great at creating a space where my team and I can collaborate, share and store our work. Word docs, spreadsheets, photos, videos, PowerPoints. All of them are available to any of us at anytime from any device.

Cons

Unless a user is in the SharePoint group, we can very rarely share content with them. I wish it had sharing like how OneDrive does. Give specific access so people with the URL can see it. I also wish there was a way to tag your files with specific keywords for searching. We have thousands of photos in one of our SharePoint sites, and it can be quiet difficult to find the exact one you're looking for.

Overall, I think it's a great system for large organization, especially when it comes to sharing information.

Pros

I like that documents/files can be shared to different people/departments, how information is easily accessible in the appropriate categories, and how useful the search tool is.

Cons
