### "SharePoint is a great framework for content"

April 14, 2022

4.0

I have been mainly a user in my current role, but find SharePoint to be very easy to use. In a previous company I help with installation, administration, and customization of SharePoint for their company intranet and found SharePoint to be very capable and relatively easy to administer.

Pros

I find SharePoint excellent, especially as the foundation for a company intranet. It has great document and content management features, love the way I can set up a hierarchy of sites, and has excellent permission management capabilities. Another feature that is very useful are the ability to create custom lists, which often can replace spreadsheets to collect and track data. I have also found the ability to create custom forms and workflows for business processes an excellent way to automate many steps of a process and provide a great way for team members to be able to have simple forms/tools to get stuff done.

Cons

Some of the content editing, especially doing diagrams on web pages, leaves a bit to be desired.

### "SharePoint is a Great Product"

November 13, 2022

4.0

My experience is good but we need more trainings to understand how to better use all the tools it has

Pros

SharePoint gives companies the ability to collaborate with many team members without having to send files via email or other methods, the most useful feature is history version because you can see the changes made by other users in a particular file

Cons

SharePoint is very confusing to use when you have the business plan in office 365 because you will have both, SharePoint and OneDrive for business, and you don’t know many differences between files in SharePoint and OneDrive

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

Microsoft SharePoint is cheaper and has more options because it interacts with the Microsoft Siite better

### "LOVE Sharepoint"

September 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

I purposely love Sharepoint for my own use, but also for my organization. Sharepoint has made it easier than ever to share documents, collaborate and organize your files in one convenient location.

Cons

The only downside is that if there are certain restrictions on who can access what depending on your department, you have to request permission to view the file. This can be frustrating - especially when there's something time-sensitive that needs to be addressed.

### "Safe, Secure and one of the best Microsoft Products ever!"

January 8, 2018

5.0

Sharepoint has helped me a lot in my business. Sharepoint acts as an extra storage device for me to store all my business relevant data. The space provided by Sharepoint is also quite extensive hence anything can be saved. Entire folders can be uploaded into the Sharepoint browser link so need not to upload/save one file at a time. Also, being a product of Microsoft, it has the best security available. This software is reliable and the top notch security ensures all my data is saved and can't be compromised. My colleagues and I can share the Sharepoint link and can save data simultaneously and also work from it in live time. One of the best Microsoft Products

Pros

Instant reporting 24/7 and consolidate data to get better reports Can create a unique SharePoint intranet Can enable cross-department collaboration Can address multiple service providers We can decide on the best pricing model Perfect solution for small businesses planning to grow big. Central repository / one point of truth to store and share all company data. There are plenty of licensing models to choose from that will suit any business size. Extremely scalable and can address multiple business requirements thereby saving you money Communicate from a single source to give everyone the same message. Create electronic forms to reduce the paper trail.

Cons

Customization time and costs Integration can require extra development effort The licensing model is very complex You need the right expertise to get it set up correctly. It will require a lot of configuration and training. It's browser based so if there is no internet, it means no SharePoint

### "SharePoint as one the best enterprise collaboration tools for big companies."

February 25, 2022

5.0

There are numerous benefits associated with SharePoint, one of the most important is the ability to improve manual business process and enhance them by employing SharePoint as a central repository for task-oriented processes, or the ones that engage documents and document metadata.

Pros

SharePoint offers a great variety of tools for corporate users: you can build excel like lists to track project or work status, document libraries with robust metadata, intranet sites to build relationship and provide information flow, etc. SharePoint can even work as a database for applications built on PowerApps platform. In my work I use SharePoint as a central repository of items and documents that are collected with MS Power Automate workflows. Additionally, SharePoint integrated with Power BI, so it can work as a data source to different visual reports.

Cons

In my opinion, the access permissions engine should be more user friendly. It is quite easy to confuse the permission levels on the site collection.

### "Setup an internal website with a few clicks - MS SharePoint"

June 26, 2022

3.0

Microsoft SharePoint is widely used in our company for all the internal sites. Since we are a large organisation, we have tons of team working in different space. Each team has their own SharePoint site's quota and they build their internal sites for broadcasting information and to collaborate with other teams as well.

Pros

1\. Ease to use: The GUI of MS SharePoint is very user friendly. Anybody can setup an internal facing website with simple drag and drop GUI. Learning curve is minimal and powerful sites can be built. 2. Integration with MS Office 365: is great option since SharePoint is native to Microsoft, it strongly integrates with all other Microsoft products. It can easily hold your Word documents or PowerPoint decks and can directly open them in online Word/PointPoint with a single click directly in the browser.

Cons

The build quality, though is pretty solid, the look and feels of the platform is quite old. Better animations/ icons can be built to enhance user experience. It doesn't feel like modern tech, but the engine under the hood is quite reliable and that's the major reason for its wide adoption.

### "Many features, sometimes clunky "

May 15, 2022

5.0

We've yet to deal with many showstoppers, but we've definitely banged our head on plenty of walls during use. You can usually work around those.

Pros

Being a non-profit, Microsoft gives us great access at attainable prices. There are so many tools available, and while they aren't always the best available, they're certainly solid.

Cons

Sometimes, it's clunky. Microsoft is continually trying to integrate all of the products it builds or acquires, which is great. Except when they're still half-baked. Sometimes it makes for features that don't work consistently, or sometimes at all, compared to their other products.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

Mostly, very favorable pricing and solid features. Microsoft does a lot of things, and well, even if they're not always the best.

### "We love Microsoft SharePoint!"

December 8, 2021

4.0

Our overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been great. I would highly recommend it to anyone whole is looking for a great collaboration tool.

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint came along at a perfect time for us. We were struggling with so many staff working remotely, and this product provided the perfect way for our company to share documents and manage projects more efficiently and effectively. We love it!

Cons

Microsoft SharePoint is very easy to use. The only issue I have found is that it seems to be easier to use on the desktop version than it is online, but that is a very minor issue.

### "The best choice for contributes to completing remote work more effectively"

December 13, 2021

5.0

Remote work, document management, and organization, and data sharing. Remote work is both a reality and an essential necessity for businesses, and by using Microsoft SharePoint, you can assure the long-term viability of your organization in an orderly and productive manner.

Pros

Companies and organizations can use Microsoft SharePoint to manage their documents since each member of the organization is given a user name that allows him to log into the system from any device and anywhere, to keep track of activities and add or change documents and reports. When it comes to customizing SharePoint, it's quite flexible and organized. Microsoft SharePoint's ability to organize files and documents will help the entire team to work together more effectively. While certain team members may be able to make adjustments to the presentations and reports that are shared with them, others may not. If one of the team members makes an alteration to one of your files, you will be notified and given the option to accept or reject the change.

Cons

Microsoft SharePoint has no unwanted features because it is easy to use for everyone and contributes to completing remote work more effectively. In addition, Microsoft's support services bring value to users.

### "Great at organizing user inputs through lists. API has room for improvement."

August 6, 2021

4.0

Pros

The fact that everything is a list (from files, calendars, list items, todo...etc.) allows you to basically create lightweight applications with custom fields in a matter of hours. You can replace microsoft project with a simple list with custom fields and on top of that you will have way more advanced functions such as customizing the forms and making it feel like a real app.

Cons

The UI feels like a half-baked solution. Many of the interfaces are stuck in the old sharepoint experience while many others are taking advantage of the new UI (which sometimes lacks functionality from the old one). On top of that the Graph API for list is not complete, new connectors for PowerBI for example cannot read items that are under folders and only explore the top level. There are workarounds but will involve launching in parallel light tech to cover for these gaps, in my case Azure pipelines and logic apps.

### "Ideal for Documents, Storage & Sharing"

October 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

Integration was easy into our systems, we were originally using 3 different cloud storage options, but have now simplified this into one central sharepoint site. Desktop and Mobile access is very easy and can be used with either the Sharepoint App or OneDrive.Sharing files and documents with others is simple, either by a custom link or we can add them as a collaborator (if they are also using microsoft online services) quickly and easily.

Cons

The original setup of sharepoint took a little while to configure. As we do our own in house IT, we had time to implement without requiring additional support. But having a plan for how you want to layout your sharepoint site(s) is very useful at the early stages.

### "Crucial for larger companies"

March 20, 2022

4.0

It's an overall great tool to have when working with teams. It saves time and headache when all the information is in one centralized place that everyone has access to. Small gripes with the setting access to files but other than that it's great.

Pros

Quick access to file sharing that multiple team member can have access to edit and make changes to helps keep files up to date.

Cons

Approving and restricting the type of access people have is a bit confusing. For example, some people need access to edit, other just to view. The problem I've had is when I give someone access to view, they can still make edits.

### "SharePoint is a must-have product for simple web design"

August 6, 2022

5.0

Amazing option for creating a rapid and professional intranet site, for a low rate, with an amazing service crew. I conducted extensive research to locate a platform for constructing our company's intranet site, and I do not believe there is a better option on the market today when considering features and pricing than SharePoint. It is highly advised to construct a top SharePoint site in a short period of time without understanding much about SharePoint. I developed a beautiful looking Intranet site in a week despite having no prior expertise with Intranet sites. Professional customer service representatives are available at all times. I'm excited to utilize this solution for my company's intranet site for many years to come.

Pros

SharePoint enabled us to avoid many of SharePoint's design constraints and develop a stunning site with a simple, easy-to-use interface. We liked how it could make SharePoint entirely responsive, enabling our users to access it from any size browser window. We also liked the many page layout possibilities, which included sections, rows, and columns. We were able to construct a whole site in a very short amount of time since the program was simple to understand and utilize. Our ShortPoint representative was really simple to deal with and answered all of our inquiries. We are satisfied with the outcome.

Cons

ShortPoint was quite helpful in terms of site theme and page design. We wish it could better accommodate bringing document library and list content kinds through to a page with complete searching and filtering features. As a workaround, we inserted the SharePoint document library web component within a ShortPoint panel. It would be fantastic if ShortPoint could create something with comparable capabilities (searching and filtering on columns) as SharePoint's online component.

### "Document Management and more"

October 26, 2020

4.0

We use it as our intranet, to share information about projects, tasks, opporunities or rather static content to display information about various departments. We have a lot of customers who use it mainly as a document management system or also as a intranet solution. Especially the SharePoint Online version is very easy to adapt and has great integration with Microsoft 365.

Pros

Offers a ton of features, you don't have to use all of them but they are there if you need them. It can be used for document management (DMS) or even CMS for intranet purposes. It has a powerful search engine, you can manage complex permission scenarios, there is also the possibility to manage records, litigation holds, taxonomies, and more and more. With the new modern UI users can also even more simply edit pages, place web parts on them to display different content like, text, images, videos, news feeds, document libraries, lists etc. If you don't go the on-premise but the SharePoint Online route, you can save yourself the hassle of installing it on your own and have a very easy access to a powerful tool for collaboration or to simply display information.

Cons

Has some kind of a learning courve. Can be complex, especially if you want to take it to the next level and start to customize it. On-premise version is rather expensive and needs an IT professional to set up and also it should run on multiple servers and also MSSQL which adds to the license cost.

### "SharePoint is our central hub for documents and shared data for projects."

July 7, 2022

5.0

We are constantly updating our data sheets across multiple teams and shifts. Project management can at anytime see the latest progress, and we can check how our products are progressing downstream. Our training documents are always available as well as SOPs. Since moving our training documents to SharePoint, our training time has gone down and people are more comfortable knowing where the answers are.

Pros

It is very easy to update data sheets, with multiple people editing at the same time. Our QA documents are available from any on-site computer at any time.

Cons

It is probably our own set up issue, but the biggest problem I have had is that I have to approve people's access to documents. It is only available on our intranet, so I am guessing our IT did not set up the security optimally.

### "Miscommunication? Never heard of her!"

September 14, 2022

4.0

Our team loves using SharePoint. It is a key tool in the overall success and productivity of our office.

Pros

We use SharePoint in our office as a Hub for our instructors to stay on top of every tool, task, and event that goes on across our 4 remote working locations. We have a calendar preview set up. We have links to all our important files. We have a to-do list linked with Microsoft Planner. We have news posts so everyone is up to speed on the progress of our students. If you have a question.... the answer is there and it is wonderful!

Cons

I wish SharePoint was more customizable when it comes to setting up Sites. Although there is a lot of customization options, there could be a lot more. Specifically the layout and color options of the site.
