### "Sharepoint-share more"

December 21, 2021

3.0

The biggest benefit has been for my team to have the ability to be in spreadsheets at the same time. This is creating so many efficiencies and quicker collaboration-it has been an exciting advantage.

Pros

The greatest impact that Sharepoint has brought is the ability to have multiple users accessing documents such as Excel simultaneously. For my team, they are consistently updating a spreadsheet for 70% of the day and the ease of efficiency of no longer having to take turns on the spreadsheet has drastically saved so much time. Also, the ability to see live changes occurring in this document helps us be that much more proactive about scheduling our field staff.

Cons

I was expecting Sharepoint to be way more modernized, instead it is antiquated. The abilities that it takes away from the desktop versions of programs is confusing. I can do less in Excel and Outlook with Sharepoint when you would think a new and improved product would offer more…felt as if we went backwards.

### "Easy, Accessible Documents "

August 14, 2023

Communication is the best tool within SharePoint. Solving problems and getting on the same page without error.

Pros

The program is easy to access all documents from all departments in the blink of a mouse click. Can easily access feedback and modify instantly with feedback.

Cons

I can't think of anything that would be a negative at the moment.SharePoint is a good communication tool throughout the workplace.

### "It gets the job done, but not in a fun or enjoyable way"

November 2, 2018

4.0

SharePoint, in my opinion, is pretty OK. I would just as soon use DropBox or Google Documents to manage documents, but I think SharePoint is probably better for larger organizations with multiple moving parts. Again, I'm not sure if the problems I have with SharePoint are intrinsic SharePoint issues, or how my company set it up.

Pros

SharePoint allows you to share files with you coworkers easily. If you need software that helps you stay organized, helps keep your remote team connected, and a way to keep project files documented, this software works. For us, we had a large number of team members working remotely, and from satellite offices around the US. Sharepoint helped keep project managers and administrators accountable, and helped us stay organized and on the same page. We were easily able to manage document flow, and everyone could find documents easily

Cons

I don't know if this is a SharePoint problem, or how our IT administrators set up our SharePoint sites, but it was sometimes hard to navigate. There seemed to be endless dead-ends where you had to use the "back" browser button in order to navigate up folder levels. The features that allow you to edit Word / Excel documents in the browser never worked, and always ended up crashing. Also, the "social media" feature that allows you to post updates about what you are doing is really cheesy.

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint allowed us to have always backups to our file and this is is automatic. In case you will lose the laptop, your data are safe.

Cons

There were few situations in which the sync was not working. I do not know if it was a laptop problem or not.

### "Reliable software to share files with teammates"

January 11, 2026

4.0

Our team has been using Microsoft SharePoint for years. It’s reliable and easy to work in, and we rarely have issues with it.

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint is great for virtual teams to interact with each other on a daily basis. It’s easy to upload files and share them quickly.

Cons

The newer Microsoft Teams seems to be able to do everything Microsoft SharePoint can do. While our virtual team still uses SharePoint for filing and sharing files, we started using Teams more.

### "Share Point - Share with Secure"

September 13, 2022

5.0

Share Point plays an important role for sharing documents and knowledge within our organization. The cloud sync is much faster when compared to other. Only the page can be edited by one who publish the page. Using Share Point we can share documents securely within the organization or group.

Pros

Share Point plays an important role in our business process. Without site permission, no one can use or view the groups in SharePoint. Its drag and drop function is one of the useful and easy thing to share files in Share Point. In Share Point we can create a list, folder etc. as our wish. It is user friendly, and one who spent some time on Share Point can easily handle it. Data sync in cloud is much faster, if any delay occurs, just a refresh on that page or folder is enough. Share Point is very much useful in sharing documents within our organization.

Cons

After giving site permission to new member in Share Point group, they can access the site but member list on home page in my group have not updated. If we go on advanced setting and open members , their names will be there.

### "Microsoft SharePoint Review"

December 21, 2021

5.0

Overall, SharePoint is user friendly, great for keeping track of documents and encourages collaboration in the new world of remote work.

Pros

In the day and age where lots of offices are working remotely, Microsoft SharePoint allows for a great solution to file management and collaboration. It is easy to store, manage and access your documentation as well as share necessary files securely with others in your organization. This software is great for the world of remote working and is a great solution to collaborating online. The program is user friendly and requires minimal training to understand. Great place to keep track of documents sent.

Cons

For basic use, SharePoint is quite user friendly. The only issue that has come into play on my end is the worry that files can be easily accessed or the possibility for a security/data breach.

I have used Sharepoint in multiple companies over many years. It has never impressed me with ingenuity, but it has always been a solid performer when meeting the needs of complex project management and remote work.

Pros

Phone app works well, desktop is effective. Integrates with corporate server setup well. No hassles.

Cons

Collaboration aspect is minimal, customization is lacking.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

### "Good Collaboration and secure file management tool"

February 20, 2022

5.0

I have been using sharepoint for a long time and overall I am pretty satisfied with its features and offerings. Sharepoint is an ideal tool for organising all the files in your company across different departments and teams. It also helps in collaboration by allowing simultaneous edit access to all Microsoft documents like word, excel, powerpoint. It can be integrated with a whole lot of Microsoft tools like OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft365. You can also create internal websites to store certain kind of information and files and grant the users you like to join the site. The list feature of sharepoint is something I found very useful too. It helps you organise lists and allows to set up workflows to manage the entries within the list too. The access to folder/file structure is highly customisable and can meet almost all kinds of access control requirements, though it may require a trained sharepoint administrator/professional to address the requirements in your company. Migration of files to sharepoint is a very painstaking exercise and needs proper planning. We decided to use sharepoint for our new work and slowly migrated the legacy documents over a period of 1 year since we did not want to spend much on migration.

Pros

Ideal for collaboration, enabling multiple users to access and edit/update office documents at the same time, secure file management and file organisation, list feature

Cons

require a dedicated administrator to address all the requirements, migration was painful and long, not very intuitive especially with older employees.

### "A great addition to using Microsoft Office in the corporate world."

December 21, 2017

5.0

\- Better file distribution & collaborative editing abilities - Pliable and user-friendly mobile user interface - File storage & document capabilities of a fortune 500 companies without huge implementation overhead

Pros

Overall this software is the best for large-scale collaboration. A few of the things I like the most: - In-depth file & permission structures are possible - Easily integrates with nearly all Microsoft Office applications - Employees can easily be managed through one location instead of requiring API interface or multiple site permission/deletion work - Saves each iteration of a documents change, allows users to go back to the first iteration and view progressive changes & who made those changes - Usable mobile interface on all platforms - Online document edits for quick edits that need to take place - Groups can be established to assign multiple permissions to multiple users easily - Cloud storage is cheap and easily expandable - OneDrive app interfaces well & allows easy document upload/download for phones

Cons

\- Cloud-based version has frequent changes that sometimes induce bugs - Little support help outside of forums & slow to little Microsoft support help on those forums. - Uploaded videos cannot be played on all mobile platforms (currently) - Permissions has a learning curve & is a combination of the old structure and the new structure, which can lead to confusion when attempting to set granular non-inherited permissions

### "Great Software"

November 16, 2023

5.0

I love MS Sharepoint and all the accessibility it provides for the use of collaboration, productivity, and task management for myself and colleagues working on multiple projects.

Pros

I enjoy the integration of all MS Office tools housed in one area that I can access without pulling up multiple windows or software. I also appreciate the collaboration and features it provides for individuals in a hybrid workspace.

Cons

The only issue I have had thus far with the software is the overwritten data that I needed, and I did not receive much support online.

Extremely good. Our team loves the ease of use about Sharepoint.

Pros

Everything about it is good, but especially the best part is the ease of use.

Cons

There are some functions like calendar management which we don't seem to use as much. Perhaps we might need to get some training on how best to use it.

### "It's the standard, but..."

July 6, 2021

4.0

Upload speeds can be slow, but we've managed to use Sharepoint folders as helpful places to store, transfer, and collaborate on files. Some team members miss the simplicity of dropbox or google drive, but we're managing with Sharepoint.

Pros

The 365 suite is the standard for many organization with cloud based team work, and it does allow for this in some ways that weren't around a decade ago. It works - you can share files between team members, and that's the key thing.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as it should be. Maybe I'm too used to other ecosystems, but I find that Microsoft products have too many ways to get to the same common places, and then convoluted ways to get to specific places. In my use and rollout of it, almost every meeting has a few minutes of "where is that file again?" or "Oh, I thought I put it in the main folder, but it must be over here somewhere...". We can usually get it to work, but it's not a seamless experience, and it's Sharepoint feels less like a great tool to use and more like a necessary evil if you're in the 365 world.

### "A robust collaboration platform"

September 20, 2022

5.0

Pros

The best thing about Sharepoint is how well it integrates, not just with Microsoft products like Office 365, Teams, AD, OneDrive, etc. but also with 3rd party tools like SAP, Adobe, Jira, etc. I really like the fact that it encourages live collaboration, especially when used with Office 365 to edit the same documents by multiple people. The content management functionality is also top-notch. It's effortless to customize and modify quickly. From the security standpoint, it has all the bells and whistles of other Microsoft products, like MFA, password policies, at rest and in-flight encryptions, etc.

Cons

As someone who had the misfortune of setting it up, Sharepoint migration and setup can be a daunting and complicated task. You must do extensive research and/or work with Microsoft partners to configure it. Otherwise, you are bound to run into issues, which can be very challenging to troubleshoot. However, if done right, it results in a very powerful tool. The other thing to be mindful of is the cost. Both the licensing and the support can be expensive.

June 12, 2021

Sharepoint is overall an easy and secure way for teams to collaborate on shared counts and save them for future reference.

Pros

I like the fact that Sharepoint is a useful collaboration tool, especially for teams that work remotely across different time zones.

Cons

There is the possibility of having syncing issues when a library site is synced to the desktop, especially when multiple individuals are working in the same document at the same time.

### "Amazing storage and collaboration tool"

My overall experience with SharePoint has been quite satisfactory and we gradually transfer all our files from other sources to SharePoint.

Pros

Sharepoint makes our lives easier. It has many great features including but not limited to: - Working on the documents online - Downloading required files - Sharing documents with relevant people easily using a link - Task management - Multiple people working on the same file at the same time

Cons

The functionalities of SharePioint are not well pronounced. Most of them are hidden and not known by many people.

### "One place for Contents, Knowledge and Documents Management"

February 21, 2022

5.0

We implemented Office365 in our organization and found Microsoft Sharepoint quite helpful in organizing data, documents and using it as a knowledge hub. Permission is quite easy and the user interface is super easy to understand and interact with.

Pros

Microsoft Sharepoint is a great platform in sharing information, organizing data, managing permissions and to use as a knowledge hub. I have had a great experience with Microsoft Sharepoint sites as compare to Google Site. Microsoft SharePoint Site gives you variety of features in organizing and managing the data and compiling information.

Cons

Microsoft Sharepoint is comparatively slow in processing and its requires a good and stable Internet connection to work with sites and data management. Microsoft should consider boosting the speed for their products to interact.

### "A wide range of features and a cloud storage for all types of documents"

March 22, 2022

5.0

My overall impression of Microsoft SharePoint is that it provides a secure environment for storing, organizing, sharing, and viewing data from any device. By integrating with several content management systems, it promotes cross-departmental cooperation. It also includes an intranet that connects all firm departments and houses all corporate policies, news, and documents. Employees can communicate using message boards, blogs, and discussion forums. It also enables businesses to handle typical business difficulties by employing pre-built web pieces and apps.

Pros

You can utilize SharePoint to build your own website. SharePoint makes it simple to communicate data; any member can access the documents; all you have to do is provide access. Access is also influenced by the sort of access provided to the client or team member. One has control over access. The list is the most useful feature of SharePoint. You can make as many lists as you need to meet your needs. It enables the installation of a number of automatisms that ease labor and reduce the amount of effort necessary in specific tasks.

Cons

It happened very infrequently, but I uploaded a document and then refreshed, and I had to upload it again. This doesn't happen very often, so I take it with a grain of salt. And, once again, I detest its pace; working speed is slow at times, uploading via portal takes too long when files are vast in size

### "A space to share ideas, documents and collaborations through Microsoft SharePoint"

January 21, 2022

5.0

Working throughout the pandemic from different locations, but still within the team, Microsoft SharePoint was excellent. We were able to share, collaborate and continue working effectively as a team, in a safe and secure space.

Pros

It's an effective management tool for teams or projects. You are able to safely share, store and manage files and data. Multiple users have access and are able to work on documents from anywhere in the world.

Cons

There is a size limitation to the files you can upload. Some files do take a long time to upload, which can be a little frustrating.

### "Powerful software that is more difficult than it should be."

January 28, 2022

3.0

I am grateful I do not have to manage this software. It gets the job done, but not in an elegant, or intuitave to use way at all. If I can avoid using it's features, I usually use another product, or just email.

Pros

It integrates with our Microsoft products natively, allow us to open spreedsheets in Excel, and then save them back to SharePoint without any effort. Can do many things if you have the know-how.

Cons

Not intuitive at all. Clunky interface with hard to navigate user and access control. This product seems way behind its times compared to a software such as Atlassian Confluence.
