### "SharePoint is good for sharing"

November 27, 2025

3.0

Pros

We use it as our online library at work, and it allows us to store and manage different folders and admin the access/restrictions.

Cons

It’s not as interactive and user friendly compared to Notion or Confluence, and one has to be aware of the restrictions to each file before uploading it in the SharePoint (it leads to more human error)

### "Great for Document Collaboration, Frustrating for Intranet Management"

February 12, 2025

3.0

I'm glad we're all packaged together in one software. I just wish both the admin UI and the frontend UI for staff was more user friendly, less difficult to edit.

Pros

I like the simplicity of file storage and sharing. I love how easy it is to edit Powerpoint and Word documents. We've built our Intranet on top of Sharepoint and I do love that we were able to use a plugin to get it to a good place and be able to use audiences.

Cons

Sharepoint's built in intranet is lacking as far as simple UI. Box has a significantly better UI and the admin side of things is much easier to navigate. I feel like I'm walking through tunnels under NYC trying to find the right spot to edit something. Box also made it simple to add searchable metadata which is lacking in Sharepoint.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

We were already a Microsoft org. Most of it was price and having a unified tool.

We were already a Microsoft org and it seemed silly and less secure to be across multiple tools for file storage, sharing, collaboration.

### "Good all-round tool for Intranet and collaboration"

February 13, 2025

5.0

The product is a great tool for sharing of documents, and getting people to collaborate. It's also perfect for a cheap intranet which we use in the school for staff and students.

Pros

As SharePoint is included with an M365 license it is great value for what you can get out of it. Perfect for simple Excel-like lists, and document management.

Cons

It has been made to be more simple in terms of editing pages etc. so Microsoft can (and do) update it more often without breaking your own bespoke solutions.

### "Relatively easy to use and straightforward "

Positive switch from dropbox to share point to integrate better with other mircrosoft office products my compnay was using.

Pros

Ease of use. Well integrated with other Microsoft products. Similar to other cloud platforms so it made switching to share point easier.

Cons

Could be hard to find things at times. Some of the folder structure was confusing. Confusing differentiation between one drive and share point.

### "SharePoint is a great tool for business of all sizes with great collaboration and content management."

June 3, 2025

5.0

I've used SharePoint quite a lot in various organizations and I find it a great tool for companies to share news of what's going on, store important documents, store data in lists and provide that information to all users whilst controlling access at a granular level if needed.

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint is an easy to use online tool for sharing content, files, news and storing information into lists. Access can be granted at a site level, list or even file level which makes access control very easy to manage.

Cons

The initial learning curve can be steep for some people who have never used the platform before. There are a lot of difference from older versions on SharePoint (on prem) to the current Online version of SharePoint.

This is a super useful tool that allows for efficient collaboration, which is an essential aspect of our work today.

Pros

The ability to share files easily and edit them jointly with other collaborators is great. Allows for live updates that other see immediately.

Cons

Only con would be that you are reliant on colleagues being familiar with the tool to make sure they are taking full advantage of its efficiency. So, training can be an internal issue. Sometimes when updates are made it takes a little time to navigate the new set up.

### "Powerful collaboration tool, but takes time to learn"

September 2, 2025

verall, SharePoint is very useful for team collaboration and document management. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a reliable and versatile tool for any organization.

Pros

I like that SharePoint allows teams to collaborate, share documents, and manage projects all in one platform, which keeps work organized and accessible.

Cons

It can be tricky to set up at first, and some features are not very intuitive. Navigating large sites can also feel overwhelming initially.

### "Sharepoint Online"

September 24, 2025

4.0

Pros

Sharepoint is included in our M365 licensing/Tenant, we use it for our Intranet, and it has had a very streamlined setup so ease of use for staff has been good, it allows us to easily transfer documents between teams, and has good version management.

Cons

Probably just learning curve for corporate staff who manages news/content on the site, but once we trained them up on it, they were all good

### "Nice but not the best "

February 26, 2026

5.0

Pros

We use Microsoft SharePoint to manage our documents and a calendar we created to input which days we are servicing our customer’s.

Cons

It would be nice if it didn’t let more than 1 person in the document at once. We each need to add stuff in the document when we get on the phone with a customer and it can be a little over whelming.

### "Saves time and provides security"

June 6, 2025

5.0

Pros

MS SharePoint is very useful in terms of collaboration within an organization. Indeed, it allows to organize easily and seamlessly folders, documents, and so forth, and at the same time, to allow people within the organization to work on the same documents for instance, at the same time. Moreover, the possibility to restrict access (e.g., viewer only), to limit the duration of access or to list the people who can access the documents is very appreciated in terms of security.

Cons

Sometimes, there can be technical issues where the link to share the access to a document for instance does not appear or does not work.

### "The best place to start"

June 4, 2025

5.0

A good place for everyone to start and stick on, Gets the job done of what its supposed to do and it has to do. No extras.

Pros

The best hands down experience I have had with a share cloud service. Interactive features and different way of customizing according to the needs.

Cons

Sometimes it can lag a bit from the software side of things even if you have a superfast internet. No real time editing when something is uploaded.

### "Centralize Work!"

March 13, 2026

4.0

Overall, I find that it is a great program to centralizing things. Again, it is slightly dated looking and freezes up a lot...but I mostly enjoy it!

Pros

SharePoint allows my Team and I to share company updates, files, photos, etc. I had never used it before my current company, but I enjoy it a lot when trying to keep updated on things.

Cons

Visually, I don't think it is very appealing. It almost looks slightly dated, but what we use it for doesn't bother me. Also, sometimes when you try to upload a batch of files, it will freeze your computer.

### "Microsoft SharePoint - Workplace Everywhere"

January 26, 2026

5.0

If you use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint is essentially your "invisible" file cabinet. The transition between chatting in Teams and opening a document in SharePoint is so fluid now that most users don't even realize they’ve switched platforms.

Pros

Centralized Document Management, Deep Integration with Microsoft 365, Custom Intranets and Portals, Advanced "Smart" Metadata, Automation and Governance very powerful software product.

Cons

Managing access in SharePoint is notoriously difficult. Because you can set permissions at the Site, Library, Folder, and even individual File level, things get messy fast.

### "A Powerful Platform for Team Collaboration and Document Management"

February 20, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been mostly positive. It is a powerful tool for sorting, sharing, and collaborating on documents within a team.

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is that it makes sharing and managing documents within a team very easy. It can store files in one location, collaborate on them in real time, and control who has access to what.

Cons

What I liked least about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can sometimes feel complicated and overwhelming. Navigating sites, libraries, and permissions can be confusing sometimes, and setting up workflows often takes extra time.

### "Great document sharing platform"

March 15, 2026

5.0

Overall great and recommended platform for document sharing and collaboration. Could use some improvements but still great overall experience.

Pros

SharePoint is a great files and document sharing platform that fits right well for the business needs. It features friendly user interface that is easy to use.

Cons

Could use some improvements to make multiple file changes seamless. Issues in moving large amount of files across sites also faces some issues such as slow performance and file integrity issues.

### "More than expected!"

June 13, 2025

5.0

I am a designer in a store that is a part of a much larger brand. A lot of information is distributed via this service.

Pros

Ease of use. The versatility. Compatibility with about anything. If you need a printing press, this would work. If you needed a post office, this would work.

Cons

This service can be used by a large organization. That means a lot of stuff can be shared quickly. You can get lost if you do not know what you need or who it may be coming from

### "Vital for Collaboration"

May 25, 2025

4.0

SharePoint has been vital to my ability to share files and documents with others. For the most part, it has been easy to use. I also like that it integrates with the Microsoft Suite of software.

Pros

The ability to access my files when I'm away from the office and using a different computer than my usual desktop is vital to my work. It's also been wonderful to share files with others and work on them simultaneously, seeing edits happening in real time and allowing for collaboration. The permissions settings for files is very easy to use, allowing you to share files with only those you designate access to.

Cons

At time, the syncing on files can be slow. Files in SharePoint sometimes have to be "downloaded" before they can be open, causing a few second delay. This sounds miniscule, but it can get annoying when every files takes several seconds to download and open.
