Heaps of storage space. your documents auto-save as you make edits. Your team can collaborate on the same docs in (I think) real-time. There have been many ups and downs but overall it is a great resource for large and medium sized companies. Probably too overwhelming and unnecessary for small businesses though. Pros SharePoint is a great way to present beautiful intranet or internet sites for your company's documentation, workflows, assigning tasks and keeping records. Cons Installation is difficult for unseasoned administrators and customization can be tricky. I love that anyone you want is able to access and collaborate on one document! Cons It’s hard to toggle between different sharepoint accounts on the same computer. For example if I want to log in to my account on my laptop and then I log out and a coworker tries to log into their account on the same laptop it won’t allow that. The history has to be cleared each time before you can log in. December 3, 2019 4.0 I use sharepoint everyday to manage, access and update files for our claims/sales team to use and access while they're working with our consumers. It is an excellent platform. Pros My day job is working remotely for UHG in St. Louis, MO. We have over 200,000 employees and over 40,000 in my department alone. I help handle scripts, processes, files, etc for a portion of the department and Sharepoint makes accessing these files for everyone more than easy. I can upload, edit and manage files by the second and they're available as soon as I hit save for everyone all across the world in our department. Cons I don't personally have any cons. We have multiple units that work on large events together, and with SharePoint we're able to view and go over information pertaining to our event at all times, no matter our location.
