SharePoint is a solid, reliable workhorse for team collaboration and file management. Once you get past the initial learning curve and set up a clear structure, it does a great job keeping everyone on the same page. The seamless integration with Microsoft 365 makes day-to-day work much smoother, even if the user interface feels a bit corporate and complex at times.

Pros

I love how easy it makes collaborating on documents with my team in real time. Having everything stored in one central place with seamless Microsoft 365 integration keeps us organized and cuts out endless email attachments.

Cons

The learning curve can be pretty steep, especially when it comes to managing permissions and site structure. If it isn't set up properly from the start, the search function can get cluttered quickly, making it tricky to find specific files. It can also feel a bit clunky and overly complex compared to simpler cloud storage options.

A very reliable platform for our commercial construction team. It streamlines communication and centralizes all our essential project documentation. Great value and integration with all Microsoft Products.

Pros

Excellent for document management. It keeps our heavy civil excavation plans, paving schedules, and field reports highly organized and accessible.

Cons

The user interface can be clunky when setting up new commercial projects. Managing permissions for external partners to view large files is tedious.

We have been able to customize SharePoint in a way that works well for our company. It makes it much easier to find and share information than the way we were managing document storage and sharing before.

All in all my experience with SharePoint is neither bad nor very great. It's been an average tool for me specifically, but the thing to be appreciated here is that it definitely offers the features that are great to use for everyday work and that too at a very reasonable value of money.

Pros

The best thing of SharePoint is it's document management handling. It helps in keeping files organized in folders in one place. It also works great in management of employees by providing them the access of documents or work related updates. Also it's feature of communication made my work easier as it makes easy to share updates or projects in no time.

Cons

The user interface feels confusing at times, specially it might intimidate the new users. I personally found it difficult to locate some basic features. Also the customer service never stood up to my expectations while assisting with some complex issues .

the experience is good, but my company gm. is actively getting away from this product, at least partially, of couse we still use it, but there are some real plans to reduce its usage.

Pros

for the pros of sharepoint, there are many of course. it actually started the first paths of digitalization inside the companies, and it worked for many years. but know, as the AI es being deployed or force to be used or applicated, sharepoint sites are not good to connect masive data and easily convertible into data silos, which we try to avoid.

Cons

Sharepoint has been a clear anchor for the develpment of the processes, and sharing information for all companies I have worked for. But as the requirements of my job evolved and I was asked for more, and better solutions. It was hard to accomplish that just with share point, of couse sharepoint its just one piece of the entire ecosystem of microsoft. but even in combination with powerapps, there are goals are not achivavble or easy to achieve. for instance, if we want to have a common sharepoint with internal and external people, or suppliers that is very hard to be done. that is also in our company I guess, but I the end, there was no way I could deal with that in my own with sharepoint. that is the biggest limitation my company and my team found with it.

Overall SharePoint has been an excellent way of managing company documents. As the Internal Auditor at my comapny, I appreciate how easy it is to search for a specific policy and view it.

Pros

My company uses SharePoint as the company intranet. It houses departments’ individual pages, including all policies, documents, and links to relevant websites and resources related to each department.

Cons

Sometimes it’s difficult to find the resources I’m looking for on the user interface, but that may be a result of how my company has organized the webpages, and not SharePoint itself.

Overall, our experience with SharePoint has been very positive. It has become an important part of how we store, organize, and collaborate on documents across the business. Having a centralized platform has made it much easier to manage files, control access, and work efficiently with colleagues, especially on shared projects. While there are a few areas that could be more user-friendly, the platform is reliable, integrates well with other Microsoft tools, and has helped improve collaboration and document management throughout our organization.

Pros

SharePoint has been a really useful tool for keeping our documents organized and making collaboration much easier across different teams. Since everything is stored in one place, it's simple to find the latest version of a file, work on documents at the same time as colleagues, and control who has access to sensitive information. The integration with Microsoft Office also means there’s no need to switch between different platforms, which saves time in day-to-day work. From an administrative perspective, managing permissions and user access is straightforward, and the platform offers enough flexibility to adapt to different projects and departments. It has also become a reliable space for sharing internal documentation, procedures, and other resources that employees need on a regular basis. Like most enterprise tools, there is a bit of a learning curve when setting up more advanced features, but for everyday users it's quite intuitive once they're familiar with it. Whenever we've needed guidance, Microsoft's documentation and support resources have been helpful. Overall, SharePoint has improved the way we manage documents and collaborate internally. It's a solid solution for businesses looking for a secure and centralized platform that works well within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Cons

One of the main drawbacks is that the interface can sometimes feel a bit cluttered, especially when navigating more complex site structures. Setting up and customizing SharePoint also requires some technical knowledge, so getting the most out of the platform often depends on having an experienced administrator. In addition, search results can occasionally be inconsistent if documents and metadata aren't well maintained. Despite these points, none of them have been significant enough to outweigh the overall benefits we've experienced.

Microsoft Sharepoint is a handy tool when used in combination with Microsoft Teams to enable screen sharing of information.

Pros

Microsoft Sharepoint is very handy for sharing images and documents during our weekly team meetings.

Cons

When using multiple display monitors, sometimes it's hard to find the monitor with the document on you are trying to share.

Overall, SharePoint has been very useful in both operations and IT-related work. I have used it heavily for shared files, forms, team sites, and business processes. It takes cleanup and structure, but it has been a very helpful tool.

Pros

What I like most about SharePoint is that it gives us a practical place to manage shared work across different teams. We have used it for department sites, intake forms, calendars, image files, and business documents where multiple people need access.

Cons

What I like least is that SharePoint can get messy if nobody owns the structure. When there are too many sites, folders, and permission layers, users can get confused about where something should go or which file is the right one.

Our overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been very positive. It has become an essential collaboration platform where teams can securely share project files, reports, procedures, and other business documents in one centralized location. Having a single workspace for collaboration has improved communication, reduced duplicate files, and ensured everyone has access to the latest information. From an IT perspective, SharePoint has significantly improved teamwork, document sharing, and overall organizational productivity.

Pros

Microsoft SharePoint provides a centralized platform for teams to collaborate, share documents, and manage project information. We use it extensively to store reports, maintain shared project files, and collaborate across departments. The integration with Microsoft 365 makes it easy for everyone to access current documents while improving teamwork and productivity.

Cons

The platform offers extensive features, which can make site organization and permissions somewhat challenging without proper planning. New users may also need some training to become familiar with navigating document libraries and team sites.
