My overall experience has been very positive. I used SharePoint heavily at Party City and now at Party Wow. It helps us organize information, automate workflows and manage many day-to-day business processes in one place.

Pros

I like how SharePoint brings so many parts of our business together. We use it for forms, calendars, product images, inventory information and team sites. The Teams and Power Automate integrations make it especially useful.

Cons

My biggest frustration is the mix of modern and classic SharePoint. Some settings and features are easier to find in one view than the other, so building or updating a site can feel more complicated than it should.

Overall, my experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been average. It does a good job of managing documents and supporting collaboration, especially if your organization already uses Microsoft 365. That said, the learning curve, occasional performance issues, and somewhat confusing interface kept it from being a tool I really enjoyed using. It's a solid platform with useful features, but I think there's room to make it more user-friendly.

Pros

What I liked most about Microsoft SharePoint was how easy it made it to store, organize, and share documents across a team. Having everything in one place with version history and permission controls helped keep files organized and reduced confusion. It also integrates well with other Microsoft 365 apps, which made collaboration more convenient for our team.

Cons

What I liked least about Microsoft SharePoint was that it isn't very intuitive, especially for new users. Finding certain settings or managing permissions can be confusing, and customizing sites often requires more technical knowledge than expected. It also felt a little slow at times, especially when navigating larger document libraries.

S harePoint is an essential piece of infrastructure for us. It’s moved us away from scattered file servers to a modern, cloud-based intranet that scales as we grow. While it does require some investment of time and discipline to keep the architecture clean, the trade-off is a much more organised, secure, and professional way to manage our company's collective knowledge.

Pros

SharePoint is the best place to keep our organization’s 'source of truth.' It’s fantastic for structured document management storing company policies, HR forms, and project documentation in a way that is secure and easy for the whole team to navigate. The integration with Microsoft 365 is seamless, and having granular control over permissions and document versioning is essential for keeping our sensitive data organised and protected.

Cons

The setup can be quite complex. Because it is so powerful and flexible, it’s very easy to end up with a cluttered, confusing site structure if you don't have someone on the team who is dedicated to maintaining it. The learning curve for setting up sites and managing permissions correctly is definitely steeper than just using a basic shared folder.

Overall it’s a solid platform once it’s set up properly, works best if you’re already using Microsoft 365. Great for keeping documents organised and improving collaboration, but if it’s not managed well it can get messy and frustrating fairly quickly.

Pros

SharePoint is good value if you’re already on Microsoft 365, gives you a central place to store, organise and share files without needing another system. It handles document management well with version control, permissions, structured libraries so everything stays in one place and easier to find once it’s set up right. It works well with Teams and OneDrive too, makes collaboration and sharing simple across users. Security is solid and having everything in one platform helps keep things controlled. It’s also flexible enough to build basic intranet pages or internal sites for communication.

Cons

Value drops a bit if you need extra support or time spent managing it. Support can be slow unless you’ve got the right plan. Employee access and permissions are powerful but easy to overcomplicate, can end up confusing who has access to what. The interface isn’t the most intuitive, takes time to get used to and can feel cluttered, especially for new users.

We have been using SharePoint for some time now, and we have found it great to customise and use as our own internal intranet. We can amend pages and create specific sections for the different areas and teams within our organisation.

Pros

SharePoint is software that allows any organisation to work seamlessly together, even if they work in very different environments. I like using SharePoint to create a central Hub for our organisation that has many different aspects in common, and we can edit it and amend it to use as we see fit.

Cons

Sharepoint is great once you know what you are doing but it can take some time for users to learn and as there are so many different aspects to Sharepoint it is hard to know how to use everything correctly.

Overall, my experience has been really positive. It acts as our main hub for everything we do, keeping all our project information safe and easy to find. Even though it takes a little work to set up initially, it's honestly become an essential tool for keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly and keeping everyone connected across different job sites.

Pros

SharePoint has been a great program for business allowing us to share large amounts of data to our teams out in the field and back at the office. It's fantastic for keeping all our heavy project files, blueprints, and everyday paperwork in one organized place. Everyone always knows where to find the latest versions of documents, which really helps our crews communicate and stay on the same page.

Cons

It can feel a bit overwhelming when you first start using it, so it takes some time for new hires to get the hang of everything. Also, setting up who has access to which folders can be a bit of a headache to manage, and sometimes syncing really massive folders takes longer than you'd like.

Overall, my experience with SharePoint has been positive. It is a strong platform for document management, internal collaboration, and secure file sharing. Once the sites, libraries, and permissions are set up properly, it makes it much easier to manage company files and reduce reliance on local folders or random shared drives. It does take planning and user training, but it is very useful when implemented correctly.

Pros

What I liked most about SharePoint is how useful it is for keeping company files, documents, and team information organized in one place. It works well with Microsoft 365, especially Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook, which makes it easier to share files and control access. I also like that permissions can be managed properly so different users only see what they need.

Cons

What I liked least about SharePoint is that it can be confusing for users who are not familiar with it. The difference between SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams files, and synced folders is not always clear. It also needs a proper structure from the start, because if folders, sites, and permissions are not planned well, it can get messy quickly.

Overall, my experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been very positive. It has helped our team centralize document management, improve collaboration, and maintain project-related information in a structured and accessible way. The integration with Microsoft 365 makes it easy to share files, collaborate in real time, and keep everyone aligned on the latest updates. While there is a learning curve for some advanced features and administrative tasks, the platform has proven to be reliable, scalable, and valuable for managing documents, projects, and team communication. It has become an important tool for improving productivity and information sharing across the organization.

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is how it centralizes document management and team collaboration in one place. It makes it easy to organize project-related files, share information across teams, and maintain version control without worrying about duplicate documents. The integration with Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive makes day-to-day work much more efficient. We've also found it useful for project tracking and maintaining team documentation, as everyone can access the latest information from a single source. The user interface is clean and familiar for organizations already using Microsoft products, which helps with adoption. Overall, it provides good value for money by improving collaboration, reducing manual effort, and making information easier to manage and share across the organization.

Cons

What I like least about Microsoft SharePoint is that some advanced features can take time to learn, especially when it comes to managing permissions, site structures, and document libraries. Finding specific files can occasionally be difficult if folders and metadata are not organized consistently. In larger document repositories, navigation and search performance can sometimes feel slower than expected. While the platform is very powerful, certain administrative tasks and configurations could be more intuitive for new users.

MS SharePoint is a good tool to help organizations improve collaboration, streamline document management, help employee engagement and track projects. Although there is a learning curve to it and a complex interface, it provides a lot of customization to your business needs. If you already have other MS products, this is worth the money.

Pros

MS SharePoint has powerful document management capabilities. There is version control, file sharing, permission manager, and cloud storage which helps with collaboration in work. You can also create shared workspaces which keeps things organized and you can keep track of different projects. MS SharePoint can also support employee management process through internal communication sites and team portals. They have customer support available, can sometimes take long to respond but helpful for me in the end.

Cons

The user interface can sometimes be a little complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. There is a lot of capability to customize things but that is also what makes it difficult to work with, you'll need to train on it or have some technical expertise to navigate it.
