### "My review"

September 27, 2022

4.0

We are having a nice experience with Microsoft share point. It makes our work life easy. We used to spend lots of time on document and content management manually. But not share point has saved that time for us.

Pros

It automatically saves the document if we use to update the document within the browser. Which saves our efforts in case of sudden disruption in system.

Cons

It takes little bit more time to load and update large excel in browser. Which is little faster when we use excel in windows and then upload to share point after the updates.

### "Share Files With Team Members and Clients Without a Headache"

September 23, 2022

4.0

Pros

We’ve used a lot of different file sharing solutions in the past and none have met the needs of our organization in the way that SharePoint has. The files hosted on sharepoint do not have accessibility issues that so often plague comparable software solutions.

Cons

The only con we have run into is not many of our clients have had experience using SharePoint and thus adds a little bit of time to our overall project timeline. It adds additional time because we have to onboard our clients to the software and give them a quick tutorial on how to use it.

Reason for choosing Microsoft SharePoint

We chose it over other options because it’s a Microsoft product and most people are familiar with Microsoft and already have a Live account which makes it easy to onboard them to Share Point.

### "SharePoint is an excellent way to set up your company's intranet."

May 28, 2018

4.0

A wealth of experience in working with intranet communities. I found this to be invaluable as I went on to create my own online communities.

Pros

I was part of the team with the Oregon Department of Administration in the creation of their employee intranet built with SharePoint. It was an easy transition for me to learn SharePoint for the following reasons: Combined with previous knowledge of HTML, my familiarity with Microsoft products made it easy for me to learn SharePoint. With two day's of formal training, I was able to get up to speed in virtually no time. SharePoint has a wide variety of pre-built modules out of the box from which developers can select. One very pleasing aspect of the finished project was that the end-users came on board and operated their new employee website with ease and productivity. It gives the State employees a place both for resources for knowledge of government procedures and a marketing platform to promote their office to the rest of the department. It gives them a place for teams to streamline their workflow within each office and work together as virtual teams to enhance their digital processes. It gives each office an opportunity to individualize their space on the intranet to show their office's competencies and assets. As I am a designer at heart, SharePoint gave me the opportunity to express my creativity through the interpretation and development of each module to fit the end-user.

Cons

If you have the experience ( a background with Microsoft products), it's easy to learn SharePoint. If not, it can be a bit trickier in that the HTML coding is sufficiently different within SharePoint that it can lead to confusion. I found this easy to overcome, but some might not and that is a consideration when selecting software.

### "Best Tool for Store Files in Cloud "

December 18, 2021

5.0

Overall experience with SharePoint was good. I think this is the best platform for cloud storage and provide lot's of features. SharePoint has easy to use interface and you can easily share the files with your colleagues and teams. You can connect SharePoint data with another Analytics tool like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.

Pros

SharePoint allow you to save your files to the Microsoft cloud when you store in the SharePoint. I mostly like simple interface and easy of use. It's vey easy to find the files and folder with SharePoint UI. You can easily share the files with your colleagues and other teams. SharePoint provide ability for multiple users to collaborate a common file at the same time. You can easily connect the SharePoint data with another Analytics tools like Power BI, SQL, etc.

Cons

Some difficulty adding users to view different files and allowing them access. Need to improvement in synchronization between files, sometimes it is take lot's of time.

### "Inside microsoft family this the best software so far"

July 22, 2022

2.0

Once you have a restricted file access than trust factor decreases however due to company policy we as an 'employee' have to use this software and its best in our ecosystem

Pros

If you are in microsoft family only than this software is a must to use as we don't have to worry about collaboration and data duplicity

Cons

I wanted to use it outside the microsoft family and I had access to restricted file once which is pretty bad in software industry

### "SharePoint - great collaboration and document management and storage tool"

July 30, 2021

4.0

I love SharePoint. It is an awesome product for the items mentioned above. I haven't deployed the product, but working on it after deployment is easily learnable.

Pros

Collaboration, document storage, document management, syncing with OneDrive so documents can be worked on with one's computer without navigating SharePoint.

Cons

The search feature is not as good as Google, but it's not awful. If a person's permissions allow them to see the whole site, then too many results will show in the search. Searches can be narrowed by type of file, author, etc., but it would be nice to have more filters.

### "Must needed document sharing software solution"

May 23, 2022

5.0

We have solved issues around flexible working arrangement, document control, sharing files securely to external clients and preventing data loss by backing up local files to sharepoint.

Pros

The software makes a lot of flexible working arrangements possible. Stores files, enables DLP and versioning and also acts like a backup for our local files.

Cons

We absolutely love it, it is very cheap as it forms part of the office 365 suite that we need to purchase anyways. No negative feedback for this.

### "SharePoint is best for chatting purpose in a group."

August 4, 2019

5.0

I always use this efficient software for sharing the important information and documents with our friends, colleagues and team members. For me, it is the best for everything such as the sharing, storage and managing. SharePoint is best and great for storage. I can store all of my important files and information in a easier manner. I would recommended this software because SharePoint is best for the chatting purpose in a group.

Pros

SharePoint is the best software because we can easily share all of our important information, data, files and documents with our friends, colleagues and everyone. It also help us to managing a large amount of data in a efficient way. SharePoint also provide the great opportunity for chatting in a group and colleagues at everywhere. This software is most reliable and also provide the convenient way for the new users that they easily store large amount of information, data and documents in a instant way. Hence, it is a great software for everything such as storage, sharing and managing.

Cons

For the new users, they faced a lot of problems while using this efficient software because SharePoint tool provide the many options which is so difficult for us to choose. The another disadvantage is that in this software, there are a lot of security issues. But otherwise our files and data are always secure and save. Moreover, it is so expensive that's why a lot of peoples cannot afford it and not get benefited from this efficient software.

### "Microsoft Sharepoint, still the best for collaboration and Knowledge management for me."

January 25, 2022

5.0

Pros

It has been a strong evolution from its on premises product to its now cloud based available everywhere and anywhere version.

Cons

cost, its expensive for small businesses and it would be great if a subscription were to exist that targeted small businesses. The reality is Microsoft are a hands down leader in this space but because they are expensive per user alot of businesses will choose other products.

### "Microsoft Sharepoint Review "

May 31, 2022

5.0

Overall, Microsoft Sharepoint has been very easy to use.

Pros

One thing that really impressed me about Microsoft Sharepoint is how user friendly it is. On my first day when this software was introduced to me I was not overwhlemed by it in the slightest, which is a big accompishment coming from someone who is not very tech savy. Everything is centrally located with both an icon for the app and its name, making it very easy to naviagte to the next step. Overall, this product is great for a team that collaborates alot!

Cons

Often times when I would click on a document it would say I do not have access to view which was sometimes frustrating. This was espeically frustrating when I had to contact HR to get permission to a file that I was already supposed to have permission to view.

### "Good for centralising document storage, but simultaneous collaboration is difficult"

May 8, 2023

4.0

Overall Sharepoint has achieved the goal of facilitating collaboration and offers good knowledge management / document organisation capabilities. However, issues with lag when multiple users are involved can on occasion make work challenging.

Pros

Documents are all set up within a centralised repository which makes management easy. Document sorting and filtering is useful especially when knowledgebases involve thousands of files. Many other handy features that make collaboration easy.'Wiki' functions and team pages make it easy to organise important documents into relevant silos (e.g. 1 'group' per team or per project)

Cons

When multiple users are working on one file, the document tends to lag a lot - which hurts overall productivity. This issue doesn't appear to happen with alternatives like Google Docs / Sheets

### "Overall good for document and communication management, but struggles with large files"

November 18, 2021

5.0

Pros

Easy to stand up a very clean site for team to work from. Great resource for distributing content as move away from USB drives or optical discs. Since our organization is fully 0365, there is overall good integration with all the other 0365 apps (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).

Cons

I feel like there could be more templates for sites, better clarification on differences between Teams and Communication sites, and easier integration with Teams itself. Also really struggles with managing large files. Our group needs a solution for storing, sharing, and downloading large video files, and we have frequent issues with downloads stopping mid-download, or completing the download only to find an incomplete file, etc.

### "Security and Access from Anywhere"

March 3, 2022

5.0

Pros

I love the fact that you can bring the access security down to the level of user. Also, it allows you to work on the same documents from anywhere with anyone at the same time, syncing immediately.

Cons

It's very robust, which is a pro because it allows you to manage your documents in any way you want. However, in order to use it efficiently, you must have guidelines for your team to follow when saving/storing documents.

### "Works well for the right environment"

June 26, 2018

3.0

I know some larger companies rely heavily on Sharepoint, but they can afford to have high-level IT programmers and developers to manage a Sharepoint farm. Our migration from 2007-2010 cost us 5 years ago and in spite of getting some hands-on guidance to redesign some of the data entry forms/types to suit our needs, I wasn't able to pick this application up and run with it like I can with others. Infopath was supposed to help w/the forms, but then I saw MS was dropping it in more recent editions. We got Sharepoint as part of our O365 upgrade, but in trying to set it up as just a collaboration repository/staff intranet site, I realized I was going to have to make a significant investment of time and found support from our O365 provider and our IT managed services provider VERY lacking. We already moved on to another application for managing work orders and projects, so I think there's a much simpler "Intranet" tool out there that will be much easier, cost-effective, and flexible for us to manage for the limited needs we have for it now.

Pros

Part of the Office platform and integrates with other MS apps. Offers somewhat simple setup to build a collaborative space.

Cons

Requires a specialized and expensive vendor to truly manage and ensure security of the environment. We used it for work orders between departments, but alerting was not ideal -- duplicate alerts triggered by setting alerts to fire under different circumstances. We've used SP since about 2007 and I've built lists and integrated it with a database and a couple of 3rd party applications built to work with it. I'm pretty much self-taught in all network and user applications (Windows server/AD, Exchange, and MS power user), but I struggled with trying to set up custom forms and found some of the lists inflexible. For example, my HR "portal" had to be set up as separate lists based on what Sharepoint would allow -- one that allowed me to upload documents, another to manage URL/links to external sites.

### "Sharepoint has so many use cases and integrates well"

April 28, 2022

5.0

Sharepoint is a backbone of our company information storage and sharing and serves as a key layer in our products.

Pros

We use many of the Microsoft products and Sharepoint can serve as a foundation layer for many of them and integration points for others. We leverage the PowerApps/Automate functionality, Dynamics 365, Teams and Outlook all on top of Sharepoint documents and lists to create a well rounded ecosystem of information. Additionally an Intranet site is hosted here as well.

Cons

There definitely is a learning curve when setting up sites, permissions, etc.. according to best practices and to not let sprawl become a way of life.

### "The Only Collaboration Software You Need"

September 26, 2022

5.0

It has been an amazing experience. I love how organized one can get using SharePoint.

Pros

SharePoint is a remarkable tool. I love how it helps teams collaborate using online doc links. You can easily upload any of your documents to your SharePoint account and create an online link for it to be used by your colleagues (with edit access of course) and they will be able to contribute to the document based on things they might have handled for the said project. It really eliminates the need for multiple docs and long calls, thus saving a lot of time.

Cons

So far there's nothing that I don't like about it.

### "Microsoft SharePoint: A Complete Solution for Document Storage, Sharing, and Workplace Collaboration"

October 22, 2023

4.0

Microsoft SharePoint is a huge assistance to me in my everyday life; it keeps all of my project-related documentation and study materials organized in one location.

Pros

Records can be stored, arranged, and edited in at a single spot with Microsoft SharePoint's outstanding management features. Collaboration on the same assignments along with data sharing amongst teams are made simple by the application. Furthermore, its integration with every other Microsoft program is excellent.

Cons

For an individual who uses it for the first time, it is not easy for them. Although it took me longer to realize, once you had it in your fingers, it truly does assist. My recommendation is to make it easier for users.
