Pros

I must say that in my opinion, the pro is also the con as this software has to go a long way to prove it's worth. It lacks those basics here and there which limits it from being a fine product.

Cons

As I mentioned above, the con and the pro are the same things, It is a software with great potential but it has a long way to go.

### "Easy to schedule on-call rotations"

xMatters helps us easily setup an on-call rotation and gives us great alerting features.

Pros

xMatters makes it so easy to set up on call rotations, switch the schedule around if needed, and plan our support structure. It's alerting functionality has also been pretty seamless in my experience.

Cons

Getting some of the reporting/metrics aspects of it is a little unintuitive at times, but otherwise it's been great.

TTS quality can be inconsistent. So much so that we're looking for ways to minimize its use. It's not uncommon to receive complaints after a mass notifies from our internal user community including VIPs. We're continuing to work with support (high marks) to address.

### "Good tool for oncall support"

It was a really good tool for collaborating people on the bridge in event of the crisis. Also, automatic alert notification delivery based on the schedule is a nice and very useful feature for any organization.

Pros

One of the easy tool to use for the notification system. It does alert notifications flawlessly. Also feature to invite multiple people to the bridge is very good. Whether you want to call them automatically or manually it is a nice feature. Learning this tools is not that hard. It has most of the features that it's competitor provides.

Cons

Cost compare to the competitor was high. Especially when active users on the system is large. Reporting can be improved a bit. The Mobile app doesn't have all features that Web UI provides.

xMatters really has a great customer support. I receive response within no time. Keep up the good work. Feature wise also lot of new functionalities have been implemented. Havnet got a chance to review everything but will definitely take a look. Some folks at the organization still find it hard to use. If there is a video guide to various functionalities, it would be very beneficial.

The District of Columbia had an issue with on-call responsiveness and incident remediation. With xMatters, the District of Columbia was able to cut the on-call response times to less than 5 minutes, as opposed to 15-20 minutes. Also on average engineers are able to recognize and remediate an incident well below our set MTTR. I would recommend that all businesses that require detailed scheduling and on-call look towards this product because it was simple to set up and deploy.

xMatters communication tool is simple to load (via the app) or use via the web and easy to train others on for use if you have teams in the field, other offices, etc. I've used multiple tools in this realm and this ranks up there with the others, if not even better for ease of use.

### "Arla xMatters training"

### "Simple Tool With Great Potential"

Since we have not yet taken full use of the system I can only go by what I have experienced so far. The application holds a lot of functionality that is likely to ease some of the work we put into finding the right recipients for the right information. The fact that we can create subscriptions based on form properties will have great influence on our daily operations

Though I understand the reasoning, the fact that I cannot administrate certain parts of the application causes some delays.

We use xMatters for major incident management communication as well as on call support team engagement. The product is easy to use with multi-channel communication streams to meet all end users needs. Form building is quite easy and pleasing to the eye with the use of HTML and embedded gif files. Communication forms can be pre-populated to minimize the keystrokes necessary for the sender for quick notification. xMatters support is great, with a dedicated Client Success Manager and 24 X 7 engineers.

While building a rapid notification system for a health system with 14 hospitals, 25000 employees, and multiple clinic locations, I have found that xMatters provides me with the attention to detail to insure prompt, correct notifications coupled with ease of set up. We are engaging xMatters to enable our transition to plain language emergency announcements, away from the traditional "color" codes.

### "3rd Emergency Notification System we have used"

I work for a major Fortune 50 company in the last 10 years we have tried 3 different systems. We have found that xMatters have great customer support and the staff has been very helpful. The user interface is easy to use and the mobile app is also very easy to use. While no system is perfect I give them 4 stars.

Pros

Easy to use. The mobile app allows sending of messages. The speed of the interface is much better than previous products we have used.

Cons

Overall reporting is good. There are a few reports I'd like to see added.

xMatters has amazing customer service! Whenever we have an issue they are right there to fix it and work with us and around our schedules. They have made good upgrades to the system to help fit our needs and hopefully benefit their other users. They are fairly priced and make the system very user friendly that training takes almost no time at all.

Earlier it was always a night mare to keep track of who is the support person and whom to reach out but xMatter life became simple , it is one single tool that maintains all the information about the groups , individuals their contacts and most importantly it will automatically rotate the on-call of the team automatically. I strongly recommend this tool if you want to avoid all hurdles in your day to day support activities .

It is handy, accessible and is easy to configure. Love the product hate the cost. Takes some time to get familiar with how to setup groups and schedules but once you have it down its set and forget. The reporting needs a lot of help sadly and being on their cloud not having logs hurts as well. Needing to trend data that only goes back 30 days and no API to extract the data is not beneficial.
