Pros: We love the advanced dashboard option. It provides your maintenance team with an interactive screen of your plant's layouts. It's an effective visual tool that is cool to use and simplifies navigating thru the system and monitoring the status of the equipment.

Cons: The assigning parts to equipment could be better organized. It's not a dislike, it's more of a wish. I wish there was a better (hierarchy) way to organize the parts in the parts data base.

Overall: My experience with hippo? Every aspect of transforming from a paper to the hippo computerized system went well with no surprises and no failures.
Hippo has a saying, You get out what you put into this. I found the statement to be inaccurate because we got out much more than I imagined. You do have to do some work providing them with spreadsheets to download but you are not alone, you are backed by an experienced team wanting you to succeed every step of the way.
Thanks to guidance from the development team; the training from trainers; and rapid response from technical service we implemented a well-rounded computerized management tool that is easy to use by our managers and maintenance techs.
Tell me, how many times do you have maintenance people telling you they like using a new maintenance program? They are the true test for this system.
There are no hidden costs and no nickel and dimes for modules, you know what you pay for.
We love the advanced dashboard option. It provides your maintenance team with an interactive screen of your plant's layouts. It's an effective visual tool that is cool to use and simplifies navigating thru the system and monitoring the status of the equipment.
I encourage others to use hippo and I should know, we just completed the forth implementation of four plants in four states in the last eighteen months.

Pros: Cloud based; user friendly;

Cons: product development is lacking; Software was written in Silverlight, which most browsers are dropping (and have been for well over a year). Hippo team is supposedly working on re-writing the software so that Silverlight is eliminate, but we have been waiting on this since May 2015. Hopefully they complete the upgrade before all the browsers drop Silverlight support. We lost Chrome long ago and the latest upgrades of Firefox have dropped Silverlight. It seems as the Edge will not support it either, so once Microsoft finally dumps Explorer, we may be hurting.

Overall: We have been using Hippo for just over 2 years and have entered over 10,000 work orders. Overall it has been a great product for our maintenance team and a great value for us. I'd like to see quicker product improvements and a better mobile version, but we are still pleased with the software. It's miles ahead of what we had used in our organization prior to Hippo. The support team has always been helpful when needed, though we rarely have to reach out to them.

Recommendations to other buyers: Despite the cons above, I think the software is a great value and meets our needs well. Once they solve the Silverlight issue, we should be in great shape.

Pros: Love the way you can see the whole building on the screen and see where the work orders are. I like the information that is on the work orders for everyone to see. Being able to add email address to the work order so everyone involved can be informed on what the status of the work order is great.

Cons: I don't like the dashboard for the work order search. If you adjust columns to view the information they don't stay that size they will revert back every time you make a change. In order to see the most current you have to double click on the ID column every time you want to look at the last work order. There should be some type of save button so you can keep your columns custom to the way you like it. I waste a lot of time with this process.

I would like to see more options with reports. I can't get what I need for certain projects that I work on.

Need better access with iphones, some type of app so when employees are in the field they can look up work orders faster and more efficiently.

Overall: Hippo is really working for us in a lot of ways. We've had good response from customer support when we have had issues. I would like to see some additions in the future to make things even better.

Recommendations to other buyers: my suggestions are in the "cons" section. I think it would be a good idea to ask your clients what things they would like to see in the future. Need more options for reports.

Comments: This program has been very easy for our tenants to use. They learned very quickly and it has allowed us to easily receive work orders. However, the lack of a mobile app is a big deal. There should be a mobile app so that maintenance can easily work on the orders. Hopefully, this is something that we will see in the future.

Pros: As someone who runs an apartment complex, it¿s important to be able to receive work requests as soon as possible. This allows tenants to submit a work order and see the progress of the request. It was easy to teach my employees to use, and just as easy to show tenants how to submit their work order. We also like having it web-based, even though it supports almost every computer operating system.

Cons: The only con that we could find was the lack of a mobile app. This is a rather important con. Having a mobile app would allow our maintenance workers to see work orders as they are put in, meaning they could seamlessly go from one issue to the next. As of now, they have to come back to the office once they are finished and then go back out. A mobile app would save time.

Pros: The ease of use. Reporting feature, calendar for scheduling, etc.A

Cons: The more I use the program the more familiar I get wit it. That is the same with a lot of things, if you don't use the system for periods of time it takes awhile to get back in the groove.

Overall: I was a little skeptical when I was first introduced to this product. Over the years I have seen a lot of systems come and go. My first experience with maintenance software was back in the early 80s. Now that was primitive. When I started using HIPPO I was amazed at the power behind this system. The ease of use was a very satisfying experience. I would recommend HIPPO to anyone I knew that was looking for a maintenance system

Comments: I am a technology specialist within the automatic identification and data capture industry and I am volunteering my consultation services for a non-profit adult day service organization in Richmond, VA. The task given was to identify, qualify, and implement a simple yet robust facility management program to move from a paper based system to an electronic form. There were many challenges due to the existing IT structure of the organization and the use of volunteers to accomplish many of the day to day task associated with caring for the participants. CCADS utilizes a logical balance of professional and administrative employees but the majority of help comes from volunteerism. I began my search focusing on "SaaS" (software as a service) facility management solutions to limit the pull on IT resources and to allow for a manageable cost structure given CCADS non-profit status. After exhaustively reviewing six of the top facility management solutions utilizing a SaS model, I chose HippoFM Zoom as the most applicable. HippoFM software is extremely simple to use and understand, has limited layers of complexity, a high level of pre and post sale support and has many of the bells and whistles I needed for my particular project. The three most important factors to me were cost of ownership; facility visualization tools, and a simple easy to use front end. To be honest, I was reluctant at first to go with a SaaS model because I could see a time in the future when staff participation would outgrow CCADS ability to fund the growth. I needed a solution that would remain for the most part constant in their pricing structure. Hippo FM was the only SaaS I found that offered an affordable solution with "unlimited users" and the ability to grow a mobile workforce at a nominal rate. Lastly, I was extremely pleased with the informative, patient and helpful sales and technical personnel I encountered during my analysis and implementation phase. I can't say enough about their professionalism and willingness to help oversee a successful outcome. I would highly recommend HippoFM to any company looking for a simple yet robust solution for managing a facility maintenance project, whether it be one facility or many. They are terrific!

Pros: Features, cost, and functionality

Cons: Learning curve (takes a bit to get it all working)

Overall: When looking into CMMS's, I spent hours online researching the different options we had. I even had a consult with someone who worked in this field. I finally found Hippo, and loved what I saw. They have everything any other CMMS would have, but for a fraction of the cost. Given my position this was huge, it's much easier to convince a board with a four digit cost, than five or more. And again, they have all the features that the big names have as well. I don't think that we have even scratched the surface of all you can do! Their customer service was great, and they walked us through everything. Beyond that, they have been very friendly and helpful after our on-boarding period.

I highly recommend Hippo CMMS and their Staff. They're a great group of people, and they have a great product.

Recommendations to other buyers: Before getting it (or any CMMS for that matter) inventory everything.

Pros: Keeping track of individual rooms/equipment service needs and records. Inventory at a glance. Reminders when you are low and need to order. That is done by the work order completion data entry, parts that are used are logged. HIPPO knows the minimum # of parts wanted on hand sends out the reminder.
Individual equipment I.E boilers, you can have a drop down list of all the replacement parts associated with each boiler for ease of ordering. Room records, you been called to the same room 3 times for plumbing issues. you can then look to find a cause.
Customer service requests are replied to very quickly. That day or you have an e-mail when you arrive to work.

Cons: I have just two
On work order search, it defaults to the very first work order #1 instead on the newest 2999. Printing was a one step process.

Overall: A better awareness of the facility, parts, pieces, costs, man hours, scheduling.

Pros: the lay out and the way it will store all my records. plus how it will email my work orders to my contractors

Cons: when it emails it has from hippo not my company at the start

Overall: it is the most easiest to use program i found. all our work orders get done on time and other managers can request work to be done easily

Comments: Hippo CMMS software makes life as a maintenance supervisor much easier. At Haas Cabinet, we were looking a way to keep work orders organized and scheduled, while also keeping track of the costs per repair. Hippo software answered the bell. We are able to track all work orders, costs of each work order, parts inventory, and have scheduled preventative maintenance work orders automatically generate. Hippo helped bring our family owned business into the 21st century.

Pros: Hippo has a really neat layout. They can use your floor plans and lay out the equipment you maintain so that you get the really cool visual experience that no one else brings. We really like the mobile app. Hippo desktop version syncs with your smartphone or IPad via the Hippo mobile app. Our maintenance guys can create, complete and modify work orders from anywhere they have internet service or mobile phone access.

Cons: We rely on the email alert function to be fully functional. Our maintenance employee's are alerted about works order requests via email. Seems like from time to time Hippo's email servers go down, and we are not aware that work requests are being created.

Pros: Their support is awesome. The product is very straightforward with almost no learning curve and nothing to install, which I like given the constant problems that PC give us. The most convincing fact about this product and vendor is that they allow you to just begin using their product with no outrageous minimum commitment times that every other competitor had. You sign up, begin building your data base and if I don't like it, I can just walk away from it after all. The price point is absolutely realistic and good unlike some other competitor's.

Cons: I don't like that the product is not cross browser platform compatible, but it might be for the better so everything is consistent at least in one browser. I'd like to see a bit more functionality like alarm messages when warranty due dates are coming up etc. Tracking fluids would be nice too, but they are working on several things and I am sure certain sections will get more functionality. The mobile version is very bare, forcing me to find a computer to do things like adding equipment that I haven't added yet.

Recommendations to other buyers: You sign up, begin building your data base and if I don't like it, I can just walk away from it after all. The price point is absolutely realistic and good unlike some other competitor's. That in itself it an absolute convincing business strategy. All of the other four products I evaluated wanted at least six months to a year commitment without me having been able to really evaluate their products. The team of Hippo FM is absolutely helpful, polite, fun and just a good team to work with.

Overall: HIPPO is a perfect starting CMMS. it is a really good tool to chance the culture of your company if your company does not use any ticketing system. Reporting should improve and the tool can be a bit more dynamic. it is a really good tool for the price.

Pros: Very user friendly. Can customize it how you would like. Very good customer service.

Cons: I wish we could submit pictures for work orders and attach documents to pieces of equipment, instead of doing it for each work order.

Overall: The software is very easy to use. We recently rolled Hippo out to our location and everyone seems to love it!

Pros: Simple to write and keep track of work orders and progress.

Cons: I cannot search for a part by part # within the actual work order. I don't care for the drop downs.

Overall: HIPPO CMMS has greatly simplified our maintenance management. I am very happy with the overall system, but I do wish it was a little easier to look up parts. We have a rather large parts supply and the drop down boxes don't always work do to the fact several different systems may use the same part. It would be much easier if there was a search screen in the work order itself.

Pros: The ability to apply and view floor plan and enter work order directly from floor plan and equipment views. The unlimited users accounts, reports, documents, pictures, and specifications that can be added to equipment and facilities, mobile access, and preventative maintenance module.

Cons: It would be nice to be able to have more ability to customize reporting, Demand work order fields and dashboard. There is not the ability to create a work order via email submission or respond to notifications via email. When adding comments, it does not date stamp in the comment field of when or who made the comment.

Pros: Easy to use and quick to learn. It is fast to move thru the steps. It allows multiple people to know where certain work orders are in process quickly. The reporting is good and allows you to look up items that may need replaced quickly.

Cons: There aren't many options for customization. There have been times that we would like to do something where we couldn't and the option wasn't there to even create a customization.

Overall: It increased our overall production by multiple people having visual progress over what was getting done. It eliminated lost work orders. It allows us to look up information much faster then going thru file cabinets for documents.

Pros: HippoFM Software has been the absolute right choice for our company. The ease of use and the ability it has provided for our company to reach our full potential has been worth its¿¿¿ weight in gold. This software is priceless. This has definitely been the best choice. The software has given us the ability to manage our repairs, history, labor costs, and has given us complete document control. With its¿¿¿ mapping and plant layout format, our staff has the most effective tool at their fingertips at all times. This cuts down on wasted movements and or lost information. With the added use of the mobile device apps, we have seen an enormous increase in productivity from our staff.

Cons: Because of our company operating in Eastern Standard Time (EST), we encountered initial hurdles setting up phone discussions with our staff and HippoFM¿¿¿s . Minor adjustments from both sides corrected this easily.

Overall: HippoFM has been a dream come true for a company like ours. Everyone throughout the organization is pleased with the success and ease of implementing HippoFM. We definitely feel it was the right choice and are very happy with how effective it is for our organization. Whether you are a standalone company, or a multi- national company like we are, HippoFM is able to satisfy your needs. Pros: I like that I am able to schedule all of my PM;s ahead of time with a variety of different options, and I am able to have all my demand work orders organized.

Cons: I don't like that Work Category is used throughout each facility. We have 5 facilities and if you click on work category for a demand work order its a giant mess since the categories go across all plants even though some categories are not needed at a specific plant. I also don't like how you can't type in a part number or breakdown the search for a part on work order is just work category. I would wish they at least added more categories like part type or location drop boxes to find parts if we won't be able to type in the part number or name at all to find it on the work order screen.

Comments: Jay Peak Resort is a four season resort in Vermont - we added Hippo after redeveloping our lodging at our base area. We are unable to use Hippo to its full extent but have found full value in the tracking, preventive maintenance and common areas for our building and facilities staff. We hope to work with Hippo in the future as they expand their efforts to assist operations like ours.

Pros: The customer support and attention to detail has been terrific. Hippo is always eager to help and answer questions. Our Facilities Managers value the information and documentation the app can store on our equipment and preventive maintenance items.

Cons: Our only con right now is that Hippo does not interface with our Property Management Software, so we are limited in how we can use Hippo for our lodging/guest room maintenance items. We currently use Hippo for all equipment and PM management, as well as work orders for our common and public spaces.

Comments: After much research, I stumbled onto Hippo CMMS and decided it had all the features we needed at our organization at the right cost to meet our budget. Moving forward a year later, this software is now a crucial key to our success. The database is well organized and easy to configure to your establishment's needs and Hippo has a friendly customer support team that is extremely helpful when you run into any questions or concerns with a rapid response time. They are also releasing updates frequently increasing the functionality of software with each release. Our facility maintenance team have increased their efficiency and management staff are pleased that their requests no longer feel forgotten about or unimportant. I am looking forward to this next year and future years with Hippo and highly recommend this product to any business that is seeking a way to become more organized, efficient, and insightful.

Comments: Over all getting started with Hippo has had its bumps in the road, learning the system, as with any new process. The people I have worked with have been great and very responsive. The answers for your questions are there, in the software, settings, and in the how to's, as well as the help you receive from the personnel. As of this review we have had the system for around 4 months, still knowing, we have more to learn. But our system is up and running and people are using the system, which has been a great help, in capturing requests, that use to be mentioned in conversations, and forgotten about. Along with being able to track equipment and request histories. We can already see the benefit in going to this system.

Pros: Once you have All your data input into the system, it is a great way to manage service requests. For the general user, to input a request, teaching the information only takes minutes. Reoccurring work orders, can be setup from templates you can customize to your facilities. Searching the status of work requests, can be done by the clicking of a few boxes. The people I have worked with through the on boarding process have been great. Very quick to answer questions. And eager to get you setup and customized for your situation.

Cons: Starting from scratch there is a lot of data input, but to be fair that would be the case using any CMMS software. Learning the terminology of the system, takes a little getting use to. There is no app, as of 10/17, so for mobile it is a web page. The mobile and desktop views are different, and take a little getting use to.

Overall: This program took us from a paper based system to a computerized cloud based system which can be accessed from anywhere. It allows our employees to look up their work and paperwork no longer gets lost.

Comments: Having used alot of CMMS software in my career, HIPPO CMMS definitely to me is the best there is, not only is it very user friendly and ease of use, its also affordable, cloud based and very powerful. You can have direct access to your data from anywhere in the world, and the floor plan layouts that house all your maintenance data is a great tool for Asset Managers.

Pros: Updates and new releases of the software are free. Customer Support is great. Affordable pricing. Powerful data extraction and reporting. User friendly software for non tech savvy people. Cloud Based allowing access to your data anywhere in the world. 3 types of Dashboards, Advanced, Std, Calendar view Floor plan layouts with Asset data housed in one central location Mobile App creates more efficient workers, less time stuck behind the computer

Cons: None actually. The software is great and covers everything.

Overall: We migrated our Maintenance department for 7 facilities over from pen/paper/emails to Computerized Maintenance Management software virtually pain free thanks to Hippo. Pros: The software is very user friendly- very easy to navigate. We have several different people, ranging from managers, office staff, and technicians using the software and all have been able to operate with ease.

Cons: The fact there is not an app for a phone or tablet. The mobile site is ok but not nearly as useful as the computer site. Wish there was an actual app.

Overall: Hippo CMMS helps our company keep up to date records for all maintenance issues we have for our 27 locations. It keeps us organized and ready for the fast growth we are expecting.

Pros: It is very easy to navigate through this program. The layout of tabs is simple to read. I have to say that support is excellent. If you get stuck on something or need to speak with somebody at Hippo's office, they are always there to help you out. The product itself is only as good as the people who support it, and like I said, they support it very well.

Cons: I wish I could customize some pages to better fit our manufacturing plant, but I understand that this program - like many others - is cloud-based, and therefore, the programmers cannot accommodate everybody. To be able to print certain screens would be nice for my meetings, but once again, that option is not there. I honestly cannot say anything negative about the vendor.

Recommendations to other buyers: You should definitely watch their video on the Hippo website. It is easy to understand, and you will get the idea if this is for you or not. I have done it on a few competitors and settled on this one, as it suits our needs. The best part is that you do not sign any contracts, as you only pay month to month, and if you ever want to stop, you are allowed to download all your data and use in another program at no extra cost. With other programs you have to pay big time, or you do not even have that option and you have to start from the beginning.

Comments: Last year we contracted with a regional educational entity to investigate CMMS products out there and then implement the software for 19 schools. We did a choice matrix based on cost, ease of use, functionality etc. and Hippo won hands down. We were not disappointed with the product. The price was way less than competitors, it is easy to use, and we had excellent product support to get it going.

Pros: Canadian Company so we were not beat up with the exchange, price is based on number of buildings so we can have unlimited users, the product is web based so we do not have to have our own server, the company does automatic updates, data input can be from anywhere, workorders can be input and completed in the field via handheld device. Lots of actual people to help with initial input. Our suggestions for changes in the program were implemented at low cost and in good time.

Cons: At this point have no complaints.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a great company doing business world wide but it feels like you are their only customer. Check them out!

Pros: Hippo CMMS is an affordable solution for small business and non-profits. It offers more than adequate functionality for implementing and tracking work orders. And the Customer Service is impeccable. We are always treated warmly and the response time is excellent. Training is included and easy to follow. After researching many similar products and viewing demos, Hippo appeared to be the right fit for us. We have not been disappointed.

Cons: My only concern has been with the mobile app. It does not yet allow follow-up on an existing work order request once the email notification is received indicating a request. It will only allow an initial work order to be submitted from scratch.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is an excellent software for organizing and tracking work orders related to buildings, equipment, fleet management and resources conducting the actual work. It is very affordable and encompasses so much in one package. Hippo offers more bang for the buck when budget is a concern. It is very user friendly and easy to access from anywhere.

Pros: You can log and keep electronic trail of the work completed on but inputting other items is cumbersome and very time consuming. The equipment list and plotting equipment is labor intensive and hard to figure out

Cons: There isn't any real instructions or help drop down menus explaining what the field needs or why it is needed. It would be great if it had a manual on line you could access while using it explaining how to do a certain data input field. it is trial by error method or wait 3 days to get an answer from support

Comments: I am a facilities manager for JD Byrider Systems, LLC. We are the nation's largest used car franchise company. With over 145 facilities nationwide, we need to be very proactive about making sure that our stores are in top shape mechanically. Equally important there are days, due to increased competition from other car companies, we need to be doing it faster and better. Maintenance is a constant issue and concern, and therefore we need a system by which we can network with facility managers, vendors and contractors, and Byrider corporate management. HippoFM has become that valuable tool for us. Because we just came online with Hippo about 3 months ago, we are still navigating our way through the many facets of this program. As we learn more about its capabilities, we are finding it to be an invaluable tool in our effort to keep our facilities looking good and running smoothly. There are certain things we have found to be a bit awkward or cumbersome, and we have brought them to the attention of your group. Their response has always been one of welcoming feedback and suggestion. I really appreciate that. We are using the version called "Hippo Zoom". As we continue to grow in our ability to use the software to its fullest, I really look forward to the consistency and stability it is going to provide for our team. We are thankful for a find product and the great technical support and customer service that we receive.

Overall great software that is easy to use and solves the issue of tracking work orders.

Pros: Hippo allows tenants to submit their maintenance request/needs for their spaces. I have used it in a commercial type of building so we have tenants that can request light changes, plumbing help, etc. Once they submit the request we can then dispatch a maintenance person to the job and once they have completed it they will update the system and the tenant will get the notification and can check progress from there anyway.

Cons: Because tenants can see the progress updates, if there is a delay in getting their problem addressed because there are no maintenance people available then they can see it and might call to ask what's going on. I like to send them a message myself and let them know that it is being worked on.

Comments: The John McGivney Children's Centre is a treatment centre for children with disabilities, serving more than 2,500 children throughout the city of Windsor and Essex County of Ontario. The Centre is housed in a 60,000 sq. ft. 2-story building with a satelite location accross town. In 2010 we expanded our facility from the original 18,000 sq. ft. building to the State of the Art building we have now. Prior to the expansion we had no CMMS and we depended on the maintenance contractors for executing and tracking of the mechanical, electrical, and architectural facility maintenance. We also used a generic work order form that could be submitted manually, or electronically, for janitorial and maintenance requests. After researching several other maintenance manager systems over a 2 year period, we purchased the HippoFM Zoom View with unlimited users which we found to be the best fit for our needs. Affordability, ease of use, and low maintenance were major factors in our final decision. Our IT department endorsed it immediately as there was no work for them during implementation nor is there any maintenance work required from them going forward. It comes with excellent 24/7 customer support. We can now schedule and track our preventative maintenance work orders and keep a history of all work performed by the Facility department and contractors. I highly recommend this sytem for any size of operation.

As a Non-Profit Organization, we work within a humble budget. HIPPO FM has enabled us to save our precious funds through efficiency. Using spreadsheets, word documents, and outlook calendars, etc. was not efficient and wasted valuable time. While researching Management software, I was not able to find one that came close to this one. As a fearless defender of our "bottom line" and having a background in the private sector, I sought a comprehensive, user friendly, and cost effective program. HIPPO FM was exactly what we needed. My Facilities Staff was able to adapt instantly to its ease of use, and now we have one place to capture all history, tracking, contacts and costs. I can't recommend this program highly enough, and emphatically endorse it to any Property or Facilities Management Professional. It simply saves time and money, period! I get nothing in return for this review, beyond sharing the truth about HIPPO FM, with all of my professional contemporaries around the world.

Pros: Layout is easy to look and find tasks. I have all the tasks in one screen that is easy to look at. I can make recurring very easily.

Cons: Wish there was more search features. A way to look up completed tasks. Would like more search fields to choose from.

Overall: Keeping track of your work and getting work done more timely.

Melvin, We have heard a few times, compared to other CMMS programs, Hippo is very user friendly and easy on the eyes. There is not a lot of clutter, especially when you can customize that a User sees only what they need to. There are search fields on several of the grids. When creating work orders, there are search fields to locate your equipment or locations. You can find a key word search on reports. Regarding tasks, you can view any completed work order, using the Work Order Search feature. There you can find the old ticket and see what should be completed next. Pros: We use Hippo software to manage maintenance work orders only. It is user friendly and simple to navigate. Makes it easy to communicate with my team and prioritize tasks.

Cons: Would like if there was an iphone app so it was easier to use on a mobile device or tablet. Do not like the mobile version.

Comments: I have used Hippo CMMS for over 2 years and as a Maintenance Manager for 2 different hotels Hippo is invaluable to our business and to running my department effectively.With it being so user friendly Hippo does not require much time to train (Minutes) and is accessible by all staff in both hotels.It also enables the user to update whoever entered a work order via email automatically therefore cutting down correspondence time.Excellent App with excellent customer service that provide help within minutes and very friendly and personable.

Pros: User Friendly Excellent Layout Excellent customer services Makes time management easier Excellent for budget control

Cons: I honestly have no Cons for this App.

Comments: I really like the work order system. It is an excellent system for tracking and running reports. We are still in the infancy stage, so we still have a lot of information to implement. I can not say enough good things about tech support. They are extremely knowledgable and very quick to respond. They are very patient when training and really want to see us succeed. I could not be happier about the support they have provided.

Pros: Work order tracking. Tech support.

Cons: I wish it supported Google Chrome. I wish I could modify some of the templates.

Pros: I really don't have any pro's at this time. Looking forward to see what the new release brings when it comes out.

Cons: That you can't communicate with others on comments via email and it seems to be a lot of clicks to close open a ticket and close out a ticket.
Also don't like that it does not date stamp or say who entered what on the form.
Would be great if you could drag and drop a file into the app instead of having to upload it.

Pros: Top Notch customor support.
Ease of use. Very tech friendly and easy to use from the data entry and also covers a wide range or product areas

Cons: None that I have come up with in the short time I have been utizing this system. Once again I run into a snag I make a phone call and every time it has been taken care of immediately.
I took a bit of s short cut to get things moving sooner that has cost me a little more time in data entry. If you fill out the data sheets they send you completely you will reap the benefits with the ease of the transfer.

Overall: I searched long and hard looking at many different data systems for our facilities maintenance system. I orgianlly decided on Hippo mainly because of cost. My first thought is this too simple I mean is it going to cover everything I need it too (it does). Second question to myself why so inexpensive compared to other like systems. For us the cost is right, The customor service is incredable. The ease of use is great it looks like a technician was actually in on the conception of this product and not just data entry folks and engineers. The tech library is an awesome tool. it is still a work in progress but did save me countless hours in data transfer.

Pros: Hippo CMS is designed for robust on premise or scalable cloud hosted web service. It's multi language oriented, real time report of end users behavior and you can use a tree structure and a basic RTEditor, you are ready to use Hippo.

Cons: Hippo lacks some functionality in the back end to help writers, admins to collaborate. Some internal ticketing system for example would be ideal. JAVA integration features can raise the time lapse to deploy accurate customized CMS solutions.

Pros: It is simple to manage all your assets and the preventative maintenance for them. The price is great and the support staff is helpful.

Cons: It sometimes would be nice if the software was a little more customizeable. Not all data fields are appropriate for all machinery, and it would be nice if you could remove those fields to avoid clutter and/or customize required fields so you are not adding useless information so that the software will accept your entry.

Recommendations to other buyers: When selecting a CMMS, I would have a discussion with all personnel that would be using it to make a list of what they want or need out of the software. I would also keep in mind that the suggestions of those who use the software most - e.g., technicians/ mechanics - should be higher on the priority list than those of management who will use the program only occasionally. Ultimately, the program you select must work for those who are supposed to use it. If the guys doing the work do not like using the program because it does not suit their needs, then the information they enter (or don't) will be of little use to anyone, and the CMMS will ultimately end up being a failure.

Comments: The Port of Newport is located on the central Oregon coast in the City of Newport, which is a major business/economic hub of the area. The Port's five distinct facilities support commercial and sport fishing, fish processing, international shipping, tourism, RV park, recreation, marine science, Oregon coast aquarium, and the NOAA Marine Operations Center Headquarters- Pacific fleet. Intuitive user interface, ease of use, self guided training options, expandability, speed and cost all played a part in the analysis while looking for a CMMS solution which replaced one of the many companies on the web. The transfer of data was seamless while importing data from one software to another and we were up and running in a very short time, all without skipping a beat. The training session was organized and well paced for both new users and seasoned vets. Whats best about HippoFM is that the software follows our philosophy that getting work done is the focus of CMMS not struggling with software. The work orders are created, implemented and closed with very little time at the computer or handheld which gives us the information required for reporting and asset maintenance analysis. The Port of Newport is very pleased to have HippoFM on the team.

Pros: It is user friendly, the service and technical support it immediate, the visual interface is phenomenal and to top it off the cost is comparable to others that do not offer as many features.

Cons: Hippo prefers that you forward any changes to them in bulk so they can insert the data. The user can only perform line by line changes which would be easier if we could effect change on a larger scale.

Comments: The team at Hippo excelled at meeting my unique needs, much more so than any other CMMS company I spoke with. My sales contact returned the inquiry in less than 10 minutes, was friendly, open to discovering my needs, and then cleared some time THAT DAY to give me a demo. His demo was directed at what I wanted to hear, rather than what he had been scripted to say. We got the deal inked in less than 10 hours from inquiry to demo to billing confirmation. The pass-off to my account manager was seamless, fast and spot-on. She was just as good as the salesperson at hearing my needs and directing the set-up and training to what I wanted rather than what she'd been scripted to do. Kudos!

Pros: Having a web-based software with all the functionalities offered by this one was never an alternative until we tried and purchased this. Reports and easy of use from all user levels are definitely a plus.

Cons: The site and user forms could be more attractive visually, instead of just drop down boxes and blanks.

Overall: Highly recommended if you are having issues with tasks management and time management with the maintenance of your facilities. The reports are easy to pull and download. Paperless and web-based is the way to go!

Pros: Ease of use. I use the software daily for maint and for our PM process. I like being able to look on a calander to see what is due each day.

Cons: None really. I am really happy with the software. Maybe having a few less que's in the Filter area. It can be a little clogged up.

Comments: I think the price is very good for the system and if you want to keep you life simple with out much confusion then this is the best program for a small business or a beginning business.

Pros: This was a very easy to use and simple product, it was able to provide all of the qualities of a program that I was looking for in a beginning scale. It was easy to learn to use and encompassed most of the what our company was looking for in a program like this.

Cons: There were some restrictions in the sense of what we needed. We have over 50 properties and over 200 tenants and there were some functions that did not separate the properties as needed.

Comments: We are just getting started with HIPPO CMMS. We are in the process of going live. So far, we are pleased with the system. We are a small manufacturing plant and are migrating from a manual, calendar based system with a limited number of users. It appears that this will fill our needs once we get up to speed on using it and fully roll it out. It provides a capability that we were sorely lacking in this area.

Pros: It has automated a number of manual steps and will save time on the administration end of issuing and retrieving work orders. It has a capability that we look forward to taking advantage of as we fully build and utilize the features of the software.

Pros: The support staff from Hippo is very responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. If we had problems understanding how something worked, they were easy to get ahold of. the staff set up webinars for instruction purposes, and i was able to take over form there. the cost to get started was very affordable in comparisson to other companies i looked at. the floor plan function is genius.

Cons: Currently you can not cut/ copy and paste information , everything must be hand entered into the system except for when they are setting up the account.

Recommendations to other buyers: know what special functions you will need, and make sure they are available.

Pros: Starting with the vendor they were very professional an interactive with me during my search process. The product itself is great and easy to use and far exceeded any maintenance software needs we have.

Cons: The vendor was a little pushy and flooded my with e-mails. I thought the order I which information needed to be entered during the set up process was a little misleading. I also found the all information need to be entered in individually, there was no copy and paste of like information.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are purchasing this software and plan to enter all your own information, follow in order from top to bottom and it is easy.

Comments: We have recently completed an company wide implementation and are just now beginning to take full advantage of the system. As a data center provider that operates literally hundreds of power and cooling units in multiple states; this system will be key to our maintenance operations and has thus far proven to be effective and very promising.

Pros: Ease of use, excellent value, simple interface, great reporting capability, very personable customer service; great folks to work with. Overall a great system for its purpose, I would recommend it without reservation.

Cons: My most significant requests are in order of importance; this system *must* include time stamping for individual work order entries; file attachment process should be made more intuitive and error reporting made more defined. I understand these are features in development and I am eagerly awaiting their inclusion.

Comments: We wanted a work order system at a reasonable price and found this software does the job well. Just wish we could have an application where everything can take place there as opposed to checking emails then logging in via a browser. Also instead of emails I would prefer a text message letting me know to check the site.

Pros: Value, the easy tenant/requester interface, inventory tracking, work order system. Tenants have said they liked it so far.

Cons: No phone or tablet app, notifications sent via email. I don't like that everything needs to be done through the browser, makes it more cumbersome.

Comments: I've personally only used this program for about four months but the company has had it for about a year. Pros: the amount of detail you can upload on each work order - equipment, location, invoicing, pictures, man hours, parts used. The program itself is very user-friendly and easy to learn. Cons: You can't delete a work order. I understand why but I still wish that was an option; especially when people submit duplicate work orders. Also would like the capability to be able to upload documents once the work order has been completed.

Comments: Cloud-based CMMS system is definitely a user friendly with some great built-in features such as calendar view, equipment list etc. Transferring data from legacy platform to Hippo was great and the support received from Natasha was an outstanding.

Few suggestions:
-Create mobile app with a capability of sending notifications etc.
-Have an open API or a form to integrate with organization intranet (for example; web submission form on companies webpage to avoid entering user ID's or redirecting to hippo page)

Comments: After a JCAHO survey, we were "dinged" for not having our maintenance and preventive services for equipment records maintained electronically. We researched several different companies. Being a small rural hospital, our budget is already strained but had to do something to correct this deficiency and maintain our certification. We signed up with HIPPO and have been very pleased. The initial loading of all of the data takes some time and manpower but we have found it to be a very user friendly tool for all of our hospital and 2 clinic staff to utilize to report maintenance issues. It enables our Maintenance Staff of only 2 to be able to timely respond and keep work tickets organized. We are probably not utilizing it to its fullest extent but what we are using it for has helped us organizationally a great deal. The pricing is extremely reasonable for the value it has brought to us and we highly recommend it.

Pros: Hippo FM is the most user friendly software that I have experienced. It provides our organization with the tools it needs to manage repairs, maintenance and also quickly know what you've spent to date.
Hippo also allows you to customize the look for your organization to really make it feel like your own.
We are truly grateful for the input of the support staff and they are always working to ensure our needs are met, and questions answered in a timely fashion.

Cons: Absolutely None in my opinion.

Comments: As a personal care home, it is imperative that we stay on top of our preventative maintenance program to provide a safe and comfortable environment to the Elders who live here. HippoFM has developed a product that allows us to manage our preventative maintenance program as well as on-demand maintenance requests. We have been using HippoFM for three months now, and are very happy with the product. The implementation process was smooth and the HippoFM staff is fantastic to work with. Inputting work orders directly into the software is very user friendly, and training our staff on the new system was easy. Senior management is now able to track maintenance costs more accurately, recognize continuing problem areas, and evaluate maintenance workload. Our maintenance staff is able to receive and view work orders remotely, set job priorities, and better manage their time. I would highly recommend this product!

Comments: We were scheduling work orders and utilizing the system just a few days after purchasing. I was able to send in a few spreadsheets and we had a system that we could use. When I decided that we needed to make some changes all it took was a quick e-mail. Response from the end users has been positive with many comments of "that's easy" or "that's pretty simple." Exactly what we were hoping for as this is the first CMMS software many of the users have seen.

Pros: It is simple to use but still a very intricate program. Allows all the functionality needed while still allowing for ease of use by the employees in our maintenance department.

Cons: It is not working in google chrome. I have to use internet explorer.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure that you are not overpaying for items that you do not need and ensure that the software aligns with your companies needs.

Pros: User interface is easy, plus having this being a web based program really frees up server space. Support staff is knowledgeable and quick to respond.

Cons: Web based program is also its biggest fault, as you have no control over outages. There are VERY few, but they do occur. Don't let this scare you off, this CMMS is powerful and basic.

Comments: The onsite audits were well done, the visits were scheduled in advance so the sites were aware when they were coming, the auditors connected with the designated person when arriving at the site, there may have been a few items missed but they are easy to add anytime.

Comments: We are just starting a Maintenance Program, in the future we will need to go to a different program.

Pros: Its a good Starter Program, Initial start up support was Good program does create work orders and shows Status well

Cons: Cumbersome Hard to close Work orders, you must click boxes Multiple times to get check marks to appear, and to type in readings Cannot get Machine History with out looking at each work order issued for that specific piece of equipment

Pros: I have worked on several CMMS programs and found hippo to be the most user-friendly program out there.

Cons: If there was one thing that I could change about this product, would be the ability to make changes after the work order has been closed.

Recommendations to other buyers: I'm a firm believer or KISS system. Don't try to make this program over complicated, let it run itself.

Comments: Recommend that they integrate maintenance schedules when first developing the location spreadsheets.

Pros: easy to create a work request and have it process through the system. Data entry is very easy to use and the templates are in an excel format

Cons: Nothing as of yet, the functions are what I expected during the sales evolution. Training should be readily available to focus on different platforms, location template and scheduled maintenance templates

Pros: The ease of use, not only for the end user but for the whole team. From cradle to grave, it really is quite simple to use which is one of the elements we were trying to capture when exploring companies.

Cons: For what we need this software for, this is a perfect fit for our operation. We strictly needed a work order system and do not use most of the other features.

Overall: It helps us stream line our processes and cut labor and paper use.

Comments: We needed a simple to use PM system that also simply documented reactive maintenance and stored asset info. I looked at many systems and took the dive with Hippo. This was not a simple choice as their support is in Canada and we are in Australia. As it turns out the time difference has not been an issue, the support team were excellent with the setup and training, and answers come quickly. We have a 330 room accommodation village with pools, commercial laundry, guest laundries, restaurant etc. We run all maintenance in-house with our own team, so it was important to us to have ease of information dissemination to all team members whilst avoiding creating heavy information traffic for staff. Hippo does this very well with information permission levels being simple and effective. The staff have been fantastic and also have a sense of humour about them, something that only comes with being confident about your product. Would recommend Hippo without reservation.

Comments: Mashantucket uses HippoFM to track activities in 11 buildings and at multiple outdoor areas. We chose HippoFM due to the ability to build the facilities slowly at our pace, and the security of offsite data storage in the event of a major disaster. HippoFM staff has been excellent all the way through the process, from our initial meetings, to customer support as we learn to navigate different parts of the program. The ability to immediately forward work orders to our contracted vendors for emergency services has been extremely helpful. Cataloging all of the locations and equipment data has become a routine task for our staff as they work on each piece. The programming of preventative maintenance strategies has significantly reduced our emergency repair calls. We would highly recommend HippoFM for its functionality and value to our organization.

Comments: It is a simple program that helps organize work to allow you to run more efficiently and smoothly. In addition it has good reporting abilities that can be tailored to produce almost any information you would want. Hippo's Customer Service has been extremely helpful for our company as they have went out of their way to help us resolve issues unique to our organization. I expect that this level of service will be continually provided. The only down grade is that currently Hippo requires Internet Explorer, and is quite picky about the computer settings before it allows you to log in. Browser must be Internet Explorer, screen magnification must be at 100%, Microsoft Silverlite must be installed, and popups must be allowed. I am hopeful that soon Hippo will move to multiple browser support and remove some of these restrictions for more functionality.

Comments: We have been using this product for 3 years. It has provided a way for our maintenance staff a way to manage our preventative maintenance tasks in a more efficient way.

Pros: Visual interface customer support cost

Cons: Data input is somewhat intensive and the name sounds juvenile

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a very useful and versatile product. I recommend it despite its strange name. The interface and adaptability are useful for PM's and work orders and the visual interface is helpful for new personnel whenever they start working.

Comments: Seven facilities and 300 employees for an auto dealer were exceeding the ability of a patchwork system of what was done, was it done on time, and where the money went. We do not begin to use it to its potential, but the perceived vast abilities and good customer support were not what made us choose Hippo. Last year, I demoed a handful of programs and found many that were both less capable and required much more work to navigate. You do not need to be a Frequent Flyer Subject Matter Expert to be able to use Hippo. We all have other duties as assigned, but Hippo is certainly not yet another problem to solve. It is an opportunity we will keep growing into. Our only nit pick so far is not being able to readily show either salvage value for old equipment removed, or a lump percentage credit for paying a particular detailed invoice early.

Comments: I think HippoFM is working in the direction to be a really great company. The software is super user friendly for the maintenance staff to use. If I don't understand how to do something Carly is always a quick phone call or email away. She walks me through anything I need, well always maintaining a friendly tone.

I would love the update to the software to occur so that we may be able to use it on Mac's. We thought it was coming in September, but have yet to hear anything more. Our Business Office would also like it to be capable of keeping track of things such as utilities. All & All am very happy with what HippoFM has allowed us to do thus far.

Comments: The product is quite user friendly. I also appreciate the amount of detail we are able to enter in for equipment, locations, etc. The Wiki is very useful. My support rep, Mel Motoch is also VERY helpful, friendly and efficient (a triple threat!)

I would like more power to delete certain items so I do not have email in to do so (which I don't mind but I would rather not annoy Hippo with minor issues like that).

Pros: I like the clean look of the interface and that's customizable to our needs. I think the site is easy to navigate.

Cons: It would be helpful to be able to modify PMs specifically after they have been initiated. I would like to be able to fix typos if any and also add tasks to a already generated PMs. I would also like to be able to completely delete a work order or PM.

Pros: I really like the ease of use. HippoFM allows even the most novice technology user the ability to navigate through the software. The training and customer service has been very helpful as we transitioned our schools to the software across the country.

Cons: The only challenge I have had is the ability to have my teaching staff be notified for the start to completion of a work order. I am looking forward to the software update that is coming at the end of the year to help in this area.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are looking for an affordable, scalable, and easy to use CAFM system, then HippoFM is a great choice.

Comments: I am a fan of the recent changes to the plotting function. It is now much easier to move equipment using a drag and drop method.
I am concerned that it takes too many clicks to access and complete a work order though.
I also would like to see the plan view on media devices not just on a PC. One of the features I was hoping we would already have access to was to see drawings or plans on a tablet.
Finally having the browser neutral capability is great. Anything you can do to have cross functionality is great.
I still enjoy the interface on the computer and we are still working to have our system fully running by the end of this month.

Pros: We are very satisfied with the Hippo System. The system is one of the most user friendly web based programs on the public market. Pricing is great along with tech support. As browser based technology Hippo FM offers quick deployment and ZERO PC installation that many of our clients have enjoyed.
