### "Mpulse review"

February 29, 2024

2.0

I would rate my experience so far, a 3/10. I did not purchase this software; this was already in the department when I took over as supervisor so knowing the previous supervisor, i blame him for some of the software functions being so confusing but like stated earlier, not having support when i need them can become frustrating sometimes.

Pros

Mpulse is a good tool for my maintenance technicians. When a machine breaks it is very easy to track down what piece of equipment needs servicing.

Cons

Mpulse on an administrator standpoint is very difficult to use. I often have trouble navigating the behind the scenes because of how confusing the software is. With how much work I have running a maintenance department, it really puts a wrench in the works not having good support readily available to me.

Reason for choosing MPulse

I was not here when Mpulse was picked for a maintenance software.

### "Long-time satisfied user"

February 29, 2024

4.0

For our campus, it made getting requests from users easier, plus the users were able to receive e-mail notifications depending on the status of the work order. The building users appreciate it's ease of use for getting requests to Physical Plant. Maintenance staff can be held accountable for performance and with the Preventative Maintenance procedures getting scheduled and completed, the downtime of critical equipment has dropped.

Pros

Ease to set up, service and trouble-shooting skills of staff at MPulse top rate! Have been using the various platforms of Mpulse since June 2000.

Cons

Since We did in house loading of assets and setting up of preventative maintenance procedures, it would have been nice to have some pre-populated PM procedures that could have been available for generic pieces of equipment that everyone has. The inventory process, part/materials was a bit cumbersome as well the key management tab.

Reason for choosing MPulse

Liked the look of the screens and ease of use compared to others, especially the inputting of data for buildings and equipment. Overall purchase price and on going annual charges were also budget friendly.

### "Estee Lauder R&D Maintenance and Repair"

February 29, 2024

4.0

Mostly satisfied, but there are some improvements that can be made. Customer service is very good and responds right away.

Pros

Ease of managing records and creation of new using copy paste feature. Scheduled Maintenance records keep work orders on track.

Cons

The Audit Trail function being limited to 15 days and on as request basis should be extended to continuous. Date formatting cannot be customized. Being a GMP facility there are compliant date formats that must be used, which we cannot change. Using search at the top of columns in list view is slow and when term being searched cannot be found the system locks up temporarily. There used to be a search field at the top of the Asset Assigned to Task. That was very useful but removed in V9. When large quantities of assets are assigned to task in work orders, applying labor to each is very time consuming. Perhaps there could be a split labor across all assigned assets would work. The view Media dialogue is slow to load when multiple pages are within an attachment. The "reset" function workflow within the search field at the top of list columns takes too many steps to complete. Opening the list view/settings and applying the change is too many steps.

Reason for choosing MPulse

Cost and ease of use. Maximo was very difficult to manage within our organization

### "Mpulse feedback"

February 29, 2024

3.0

It ok, but could be better, there are some quirky issues at times that seemingly take too long to resolve.

Pros

The ability to have a workorder system to track repairs and costs

Cons

Resolution of issues takes too long, not getting calls back regarding issues in a timely fashion.

### "Mpluse review"

March 27, 2024

3.0

Mpluse is an OK CMMS software. It works and is cost effective but can lack innovation in areas. They are slow to release updates and seem to only work on bugs or upgrades if enough people ask for them.

Pros

It can be user friendly if you set it up properly

Cons

I can be very slow and takes a long time to load. It doesn't always accept changes that you made. It would be much better if you didn't have to blue checkmark all your changes. If it would just keep and change the fields with out having to click on pencils all the time it would be so much faster to complete your work.

### "MPulse pros and cons"

March 22, 2024

3.0

It suits my need but if I could find something better I would chose it.

Pros

I like the flexibility and the ability to customize to the company's need and the end users' needs.

Cons

1.) The look and feel are antiquated. 2.) The work order layout, process, and printable version are just not up to par. Very difficult and antiquated. 3.) Report Wiget's are not very customizable; very limited in what you can see.

### "Using MPulse"

March 27, 2024

5.0

We've been using MPulse for the last 4 years now, and we don't have any plans of stopping. We appreciate how it helped us in keeping track of all of our devices and not relying too much on stacks of spreadsheets updating, tracking, monitoring, etc., of our devices. MPulse does the work for us.

Pros

Easy to use and understand. There's a learning curve on how to use it but once you learn how to navigate within MPulse, you will definitely appreciate how powerful MPulse is in maintaining and managing all of your devices.

Cons

It was hard to understand at first, but as you use it more daily, you get to appreciate how powerful MPulse is.

Reason for choosing MPulse

It has more features than the other products and the amount we paid for was definitely worth it.

has been great! I was with another CMMS before them and this is so much better

Pros

the customer service is great! if you have a question they are so helpful about getting back to you and answering your questions or helping you if you have an issue.

Cons

I wish the mobile was a little more user friendly and showed all open work orders no matter how old. we have to monthly change the due date on some work orders so now the due date is not looked at in anything.

### "MPulse Review by Automotive plant"

February 29, 2024

5.0

Simple to use for all members of my team. I was pleased with the initial cost and the annual fee compared to other products, but as I said previously, I believe that has changed, just not for us because we are "godfathered" in.

Pros

Mobile ability (we used tablets, have not used the mobile app yet. Ease of use Cost (when we purchased in 2018 compared to the other companies we looked at, seems like cost has increased substantially since then for new users)

Cons

1\. Not being able to sync or make inventory and purchasing modules with SAP 2. Reorder list is not nearly flexible enough, needs to be able to be sorted by bin location and printed or exported to an Excel file.

### "Very versatile and complete, but slow and buggy"

November 28, 2018

3.0

If you only fill a few tickets par day, this software is very versatile and will probably fill your needs. If your plant is a high pace environment with several technicians working at the same time and filling over a couple hundred of tickets per day, look somewhere else.

Pros

Very versatile and complete. It will probably have every option you may need. Lots of options for personnel, assets, Preventative Maintenance, etc, as well as some easy ways of exporting data to further analyze for instance in Excel.

Cons

Some procedures of the user interface are not intuitive, you have to learn them. For instance, you would expect that double-clicking on a link would open the element selected, but no, you have to click once and then press an arrow near the top of the screen to "slide" the list and uncover the details. It is slow at times. A ticket that may take 5 minutes to resolve, can take an additional 3 minutes to fill in the information, with screen navigation being slow. It is buggy. Some bugs seemed to be cleared, only to come back in a later revision. For instance, you may be filling in information in a ticket, then the browser refreshes by itself and all of a sudden you find yourself filling a different ticket. Or you get kicked out to a different screen and the ticket you've been working on just disappears and there is no way to find it again.

### "Excellent Vendor Relationship Helped Make MPulse Succeed for DISH!"

March 24, 2016

4.0

Pros

One of the best aspects of MPulse is working with their great team. The implementation with our company has been a challenge but the resources on the MPulse side have been indispensable in ensuring our issues were all addressed individually and that a solution was found. They have never acted as though our questions or issues were a burden and they have shown immense flexibility, honesty, and transparency in working with us at every stage. Because of their help, the MPulse software has successfully remained at DISH and we continue to find new ways to use it to benefit our business.

Cons

The built in reporting that MPulse offers has never been useful to our business. We actively export data out of MPulse into a separate data manipulation/reporting software in order to get the information we need out of MPulse. While MPulse does offer customized reports but they would have to be developed at an additional cost.

### "Fletcher Academy INC "

June 25, 2015

5.0

Pros

Ability to tailor it to the needs of your business modify wording and change it to your preferences.

Cons

Unavoidable issues with web based programs - not a Mpulse problem just the fact that data having to travel over the country to servers there are multiple places and ways things can get slowed down. Hosted at your site gets rid of these problems but then makes your company responsible for a lot more headaches. We are not just a school we have businesses that support our school: Health food store, bakery, retirement center, Fitness center, Rental units commercial and residential, grounds and maintenance. We are able to track hours and create a history of what was done at all places in our campus.

The Town of Friday Harbor has been using MPulse Maintenance software for our wastewater treatment facility for a decade now. In the past we tried utilizing simple calendar (outlook type) based software, and a step up from that with a couple of other companies. Implementation of the programs were never successful, as we struggled to get any support or training for the products we purchased. When we began using Mpulse software that all changed. Not only was the software user friendly, but the training, implementation, and continual customer support allowed us to finally utilize maintenance software for our intended needs. One of the most important of those needs is the requirement by the State Department of Ecology to file completed maintenance reports for the facility. When technology took a leap to web based forms of database management, Mpulse was quickly on par with new standards and released a major upgrade to their software to the new platform. I figured we would no longer be utilizing their product with concerns of functionality and overall change in ease of use. They quickly put that concern to rest as they hosted several web based training seminars, and were very pro-active in direct communication with us during the transition to their new software. I cannot say enough positive about Mpulse to reflect my appreciation of their commitment to their product quality and support of their customers. We will continue to utilize their product for the foreseeable future.

### "Preventive Maintenance"

March 31, 2011

It is a must for a maintenance shop. Let the program do the tracking and recording of maintenance records. The Work Order System in the program is outstanding!

Pros

This program has been a money saver for this organization. Why? I use this program to schedule all of my preventive maintenance accomplished by my crew. It captures all of my vehicles, log handling machines, boats, emergency generators, lighting, fire extinguisher inspections, HVAC filters, alarm checks, roof gutter cleanings, pier inspections, and enviromental checks, among many routine recurring maintenance items. As a result, we have had less breakdowns and repairs. The age of the rolling stock (more than 30-40 year old requires regular maintenance. By using MPulse software to generate work orders, nothing is left out of the maintenance loop. This program is very easy to use and takes about an hour each week to generate next week's work orders. This is idea for me, as I am the only person, other than the maintenance workers, in the office,.

Cons

None. Program is easy to use.

### "We absolutely made the right choice. MPulse is the real deal. "

December 4, 2015

5.0

Pros

The customer service we receive from MPulse is second to none. We have a rather small maintenance department at our company, but that small team has a lot to keep track of. I had never used a CMMS system before so I had only a very basic understanding of what I would be doing on a day to day basis. After the first day of our implementation with MPulse our team knew we made the right decision. Our trainer demonstrated how powerful MPulse software is and showed us how to get the best results for our company. We were basically able to take it from there and start creating requests/work orders right away.

Cons

I think there is a great opportunity for MPulse to release an app that works the same way on all smart phones/tablets. There are pros/cons to accessing the full database vs accessing the mobile database on a smart phone. I find that our managers like using the full version on their smart phones, but the performance varies drastically from person to person simply because of the sheer number of different browsers/firmware versions/phone manufacturers. An app that could provide the full functionality of our database across all platforms would be very useful.

Pros

I've only been using it for a couple of months, I am new to the company. I really like how easy it is to navigate especially when searching for an inventory part. Being new, this has helped tremendously.

### "Mpulse has been one of the most useful software tools we have purchased over the past decade. "

October 26, 2015

5.0

The Town of Friday Harbor has been using Mpulse maintenance software for over a decade. Prior to Mpulse we tried using software from as simple as calendar (outlook type) reminder software to a couple other companies claiming user friendly, reliable software packages. We failed to fully implement those programs mostly due to lack of software support or training from the companies. When we switched to Mpulse, we received excellent implantation and training support, and have been successfully utilizing this powerful tool for maintenance scheduling, tracking, and state required reporting ever since. As technology has changed over the past decade, Mpulse has been able to adapt and offer relevant products that keep up with the ever transforming world of computer based information management, and reporting. When they made the leap to a web browser based CMMS software package, they continued to support their older version users as well as committing to an intense webinar training program to support their customers making the transition to their new platform with greater functionality. Mpulse continues to meet our maintenance tracking needs with excellent customer support and training.
