I love being able to monitor the statistics on how many times my emails are opened and videos are watched! Pros How quick and easy it is to attach a video to an email Cons I don’t know if it’s just my browser but it always opens a new window when I log in. " December 31, 2024 1.0 Paid for the year subscription. After a few months we decided it wasn’t a fit for us. They wouldn’t refund anything back to us. Stopped using it for 6 months. Then at the 1 year mark they auto renewed on my credit card. I immediately called them and said I didn’t want it. I told them to check the records, I haven’t heard this product in 6 months. They said “too bad” and wouldn’t refund the transaction. A struggling product has to steal to be successful. Terrible customer service. Pros Nothing. Low resolution videos sent. Cons I bought the subscription but realized my camera was broken on my computer, I canceled my subscription within minutes and they still want to charge me a whole month. They said too bad, go buy another camera. So now I'm going to have to pay for a month subscription I can't use as well as a new camera or to fix my broken camera. I would have come back to them once I had my camera fixed...I won't be now and I will advise my fellow co workers not to use them. Hope you're happy with your $42 you lost a life long customer. Giving the sales team the ability to create personalized marketing at their fingertips has seen engagement skyrocket for the users who have adopted it. Pros For us, the ability to integrate with our CRM and teach our sales team to use the tool effectively was so simple. You log into the CRM. Click the integration button. The Sales member logs in to BB to link their account and they can instantly add their BB videos to our email templates. Cons I dont think Closed Captioning should be an add-on. all videos should offer that. September 8, 2022 4.0 You don't stay with a company for 10 years if they aren't doing something right! In 2012, I searched high and low for a video email platform. When I found Bombbomb, I was amazed. They continue to make improvements on the user interface and the options. They integrate seamlessly into Gmail as well as Chrome. They are easy to use and their customer service is just fantastic. When you have a question, the customer service person will send you a video email walking you through whatever they are helping with. It's so cool. Pros It's very user friendly. A few years ago they made a huge UI upgrade from the old layout. While I like having control over html code, most average people don't. They did what people wanted. But tech support taught me a trick so I can go back and do it the old way, when I want. The software integrates with other programs I use, such as my CRM, Google sheets & other autoresponders. I love that I can host all of my videos there and I can password protect them for control. I can even customize the video hosting page or I can put a video into an email. I can see when an email is opened, whether or not the video was clicked on or watched and see how far into the video they watched. This works great for calling people right when they see my marketing. They think it's a coincidence -- they don't know I can spy on them! I like that every email also has it's own URL, so it can look like a web page. It's so easy. Cons The one thing I don't like is the code that I get to embed. I often have to use a YouTube video for embedding if they don't accept Bombbomb's code. It may just be me, and I'll be calling support to find out how to get around it. I also don't like that emails don't have folders. They do have tags, which they see as the same thing. I wish I could put emails into folders and close them, so I only see what's currently relevant. Reason for choosing BombBomb None of the the companies I found at the time did even half of what Bombbomb did at the time. They were a bit ahead of their time. The companies I did find had very limited capabilities and their User Interface was VERY old looking. Bombbomb was cutting edge. I believe they still are. Review Source Josh C. What's more, when we're able to put a face to the standard text, our open rates spike dramatically. To steal a phrase from the founder's book, BombBomb helps us "rehumanize our business." Pros BombBomb makes personal, relational communication simple. Between their Prompt program (which provides us with monthly content for our general database) and their Gmail integration, there's not a part of our business that hasn't been improved in some way by BombBomb's communication solution. What's more, it's relatively easy to use for both our team (creating the videos) and our end-users (watching the videos on all kinds of devices with varying levels of internet/data connections). Cons The UI for the BombBomb website is a little difficult to use. If you're just shooting a video and sending it off to your recipient, it's a piece of cake. Customizing emails or finding old videos, however, isn't as intuitive as I would have liked. The good news is that the BombBomb support staff is awesome, so you're never left out in the cold if you have an issue—it would just be better if we didn't have an issue to begin with. November 9, 2022 5.0 Creating a video with Bombomb is very easy and fast. That being said, you can save a lot of time with less hassle experience. Pros Videos can be created using browser, a camera, or an existing video. All created videos will also create thumbnails automatically. It provides statistics to know how may watched and if the video was successfully received or failed delivery. Cons Pricing may not be affordable for some. Features may be limited but can be integrated with other platforms but will involve a fee. Sending personalized video messages to our clients. With face to face back, I just find it hard to use time and time again at the price point. Pros Bombbomb integrated with the team quite nicely. There was an implementation team that trained our team twice and taught us the basics of using the platform. The BombBomb support is always really good as well with their BDR's reaching out periodically to check in. The mobile app is also quite good and has been used multiple times by the team. Cons The reporting for video views is not always the best. Only when sending the video through the website is how you can track viewers. Other than that it only shows you views, but does not tell you who viewed it. This may be an issue if you team is looking for leads. The user experience I've heard from my team is also not that good making it challenging to use for some of my team. We use this product multiple times per week and it's the only platform we use to send out custom video messages. Pros BombBomb is the best option when it comes to sending an email with an embedded video. Whether you want to send to 5,000 recipients or just one, the platform makes the entire process very easy and the end result is a well-crafted and professional email. One of the coolest features is the analytics that details who opened what email, when they opened it, and how many times they opened it. Plus, the monthly cost of BombBomb is well below other email marketing platforms. Cons The design and functionality of the platform are decent, but a little clunky. Especially in sales and customer service. They all deserve a cold beer. I'd like the tool to have more functionality in email design, drag and drop, photo cropping, etc. I'd also like the app to include mass email tracking. But overall it's an effective tool for building relationships. Pros The most beneficial tool in BombBomb for us is automations. Love the tracking features (opens, clicks, video views, click mapping). The gmail integration is super handy. Cons Overall the UI could be a lot easier to navigate and use. The mobile app is geared around sending individual video emails. I would love if the app had tracking info for mass sends. It makes email marketing campaigns easy and much more successful. People are able to make the connections of your name and your face which improves marketing returns tenfold. It is also helpful to screen record tutorials for clients to provide support. The system is streamlined and straightforward. I highly recommend it and it integrated with my CRM (CHIME) seamlessly. Pros This makes it easy for you to connect with clients and out a face to the name with marketing campaigns. Cons There are not any aspects that are difficult to implement. In my business, where our company's footprint is across several states, I don't have the chance to meet each one of our agents in person. By having this platform, I am able to connect with the agents via video which makes a world of a difference! Pros 1\. Customer Service is INCREDIBLE! If you have solid customer service, it makes all the world of a difference. 2. All the functionality with the platform is great - videos in emails, CRM, automations, tracking, and more...if you want to improve your Real Estate business, this tool will help you differentiate yourself from the others. 3. Easy to use! I love being able to create different templates and making mine unique, but also having the option of using the pre-populated templates too. 4. Integration is phenomenal! It's so wonderful to be able to integrate it with so many other platforms and systems. Cons Price is definitely a little steep when looking at it initially. However, for this product to really work and be worthwhile, you need to invest in the most expensive package. I believe all of their packages are overpriced for what is offered. I do however like the option to pause your subscription if needed. Pros I loved how BombBomb offers a more personal and creative way to get in touch with your leads by letting them get face-to-face with you in the early stages of nurturing, when they aren't quite ready to commit yet. Cons I found it to be a very complex program to understand. The user interface can be confusing, and trying to figure out the best way to make it function with all of the moving parts is difficult. And wanted to find a software that could help us send and distribute video emails easily... Thats when we heard of Bombomb... Its actually cool how you can create a video in just a few clicks, saying whatever you need to communicate, and then send it to a group of contacts, all in about 5 minutes or less! They've got mobile extentions so that you might even record from your phone. Even though we didn't use it, Bombbomb has a tracking and analytics to let you know if your video is causing the impact you where hoping. Cons Theres not to much to dislike... At the end we didn't go for the paid plan because the tool was much more than we needed. From what we interacted with it, it could have a bit more email templates for you to choose from. There are plenty of products in this space, so you may want to check out all the other options to find one that works. If you don’t need to edit your videos, and are great at recording on the fly, then this is a great option. It’s quick, and easy on that sense. Pros I like that they have a great self help guide in learning the do’s and dont’s with video emails. It’s pretty simple to be able to create a video on the fly from a computer and also mobile. The analytics also help a ton to know who has seen your video, and also how many times they have seen it. Cons The editing features are limited and some of the video guides are old so some things aren’t the same when viewing the current version. There’s no phone number to get live help, and everything seems to revolve around support tickets that don’t get answered right away. Review Source John S. L.
