For the contractor, the system gives them the ability to keep tabs on needed aspects of project management (scheduling, payment rates, target completion dates, etc.). For the contractee, the system gives the ability to only have to access one platform to access assignments, download work documents, upload completed work and keep track of pay rates for each individual assignment. Pros As a training course material developer and reviewer for my contractor, ProofHub provides a single platform where I can keep track of all my assignments (even if they differ in work content) and access all of the documents that are involved in completing my work projects. Cons Many times, I had to click on a URL more than once to gain access to a particular document. For many of my assignments, I have to open more than one document and go back and forth between the documents. Sometimes, I had to make numerous clicks to gain access to those documents, often clicking on the same URL a few times before the needed document actually loaded. I am part of a university engineering team which has adopted it for use on our rocketry projects, and it has made a massive difference being able to track all our tasks in one place. We're much more effective and there is significantly less information/decisions getting lost in the gutter because they weren't written down in a consistent place or communicated. Pros I liked the Gantt chart visualization. It was super useful to add dependencies between tasks and get a proper visual of how long projects would take when their estimates were strung together. Cons The notebooks are little bit cumbersome to use unfortunately. Also the PDF reader for attachments makes it very difficult to scroll between pages. Alternatives considered [Jira](https://www.capterra.com/p/19319/JIRA/) Reason for choosing ProofHub Because it has a much cleaner, modern interface and it's a lot easier to use. I’m personally quite satisfied, but I wouldn’t recommend it to others. Pros Affordable, with some inconvenient features, but manageable. Cons 1\. The speed is slow. 2. Custom column settings cannot be shared with others in the table. 3. Workflow editing is not available in the table. 4. It’s not possible to create tasks directly in each workflow. Tasks must first be created in the initial workflow and then moved to the desired workflow. April 29, 2025 3.0 Pros I like the daily reminders that are sent to your email. This helps with setting up daily/weekly goals without having to open up ProofHub. I also enjoy the home dashboard, where I see an overview of my projects. Lastly, being able to share with other colleagues to ensure tasks are getting completed and where we are in a project. Cons If other colleagues aren't using ProofHub hub it doesn't seem to help the project. This is more of an internal issue. October 22, 2024 4.0 We really loved Proofhub as a smaller scale company first trying this type of software! It is great for project management on the marketing and sales side and will be super easy for employees to learn quickly. Loved our experience with ProofHub, just outgrew its capabilities as we increased in size! Pros ProofHub was the first organization software our company used and it really helped us get experience to see how impactful that is to our organization. It is very simple to integrate and get a lot of licenses for people to get in the system, as well as super simple for the end user to learn the system! Cons We found it difficult for proofhub to expand to all the needs of our organization and wasn't super scalable. It has the proofing system built in, though it can be a little glitchy. It isn't anything a normal person can't catch if you put more than basic brain thought into it. Pros It is simple to use, but there is a learning curve to understand the actual flow of tasks vs creating a project. Cons I wish any of these systems would provide a consistent trainer to guide the initial set up. I had to go back and set up a bunch of projects again just because I didn't realize the flow of tasks initially.
