Pros

The ease of booking events is awesome! Especially since we are a property that houses private and social events. Easy access to documents for the client and love that we can have all discussions with clients and staff organized under one event.

Cons

We need an app that works for smartphones.

### "One Stop Shop"

I have not yet found something that I would like to use more than and I think it's well on it's way to being the BEST bang for your buck!

Pros

I love using for my business! Coming from a place of having to create separate documents for each piece of my event (BEO's, Proposals, Menus, Invoices, etc), it has not only streamlined my time, but also has prevented clerical errors moving from one document to another.

Cons

I think the more difficult parts of the software include the lack of customization, ie: --colors that are used when the staff first load everything are not available when you try to customize --it takes a million clicks to successfully get to where you want to go (to close an event, to confirm a payment) --when I update a BEO, I have to manually save the OLD document and upload it into the system rather than it saving the old documents for me to reference --when I add another document to an event, it changes the deposit that is due to be double what it should be

I don't recommend this product if you're a large company or if you do any business at off-site venues.

Pros

Our clients love how professional Gather looks. We get a lot of compliments, from clients, on how easy it is to use.

Cons

Unfortunately there are just so many issues... We're an off site catering company and it appears that this product is more of an "in-house" program for on site/private dining... They knew this when they sold us the program and should have realized they were not for us... Most important was the fact that our invoices weren't adding up correctly; had we not manually added them up we would be out of thousands of dollars. There is no where for our clients to confirm their contact info (phone, address), not efficient when booking a high volume of events. The zip codes for our clients, on the BEOs, default to our zip code; so we have to go in and manually write the client's zip code on every BEO so that our delivery drivers don't get lost.... We've spoken to them several times and yet no one can seem to correct a zip code. There is no way to enlarge the font, when doing several events it's hard for kitchen staff to see the menus. The support team is very polite but can't ever really answer a question. They respond with "we'll mention this at our next meeting"...

Pros

I appreciate 's ability to quickly turn leads into events/bookings with all of the necessary info saving us a ton of time on the turnaround for client's proposal requests.

Cons

I do not enjoy how fragile some of the features can be. Sometimes it is a matter of one checked box that can have things completely turned around, but we have no way of knowing/finding the box that needs to be checked or unchecked. This can sometimes make it feel like we need to contact our reps just to get a simple thing fixed.

It was great! Their customer service was speedy. However we had to transfer to another platform because it was more catered to the type of service we provide. Although, I did like that we could send the link to our artists/talent and they pretty much see their calendar. By far, the easiest booking platform we have used

is web-based, so you can access it on your browser. Its easy, like navigating Facebook, very straightforward

Cons

It's mostly catered to restaurants so we had to change some languages in there to cater to event management

It’s awesome. As a banquet and catering software it’s the best I’ve ever worked with

Pros

This is a super user friendly cloud based software me and my team utilize. It is so much better than previously used platforms that were. Less modernized

Cons

Sometimes there are glitches and it is hard to get ahold of someone ASAP to help rectify. It does have added options that I’d like to use but I’m not sure all the kinks have been ironed out all the time yet

Pros

Pros: - Easy! It is really easy to learn and flexible to adapt to your venues' needs. - My coworkers love the layout of the event orders - Costumers love the ability to sign contracts online and the ease of communications I have worked with several different software and is definitely my favorite. I have carried to any new company I go to.

Cons

Cons: The set-up part of it (at the beginning) with the staff is a little time consuming and the response was slow. Once we were over the initial set-up part, it all went smoothly.

is immensely helpful in not overbooking and being able to plan ahead in terms of revenue coming in and tracking client retention. It is also extremely helpful in building and customizing contracts

Pros

is very user friendly and intuitive. It's easy to teach yourself and customize settings to what you need. I run the events for 3 restaurants and can customize what I need for each restaurant

Cons

There are glitches that when I've brought them up to customer support have been brushed off. For example: the emails from tend to get blocked by company's firewalls or go to trash. It happens very often with my finance clients. When I've brought this up, customer support has just said to tell the client to check their junk folder but I can't really keep telling the Directors of Private Dining for major banking companies the problem is on their end so I end up not using tripleseat when booking my finance clients which is most of our revenue.

is the bee's knees when it comes to event booking software. As an Event Manager, this was my bible!

Pros

Everything from leads, inquiries, messaging, booking, menu planning, proposals, BEOs, calendar.

Cons

They are a little behind in online forms. Proposals, contracts and credit card authorization forms all send as a PDF that clients have to print off and sign or have Adobe in order to sign electronically.

Pros

Everything is consolidated in one place (communication etc.)

Cons

\- Your search in the search bar has to be a full name or title otherwise it won't pull up - Editing in Picklist (when you have long menus) is a pain because you have to type and then scroll all the way to the top to edit (ex: make bold, change color); similarly copy and pasting only sometimes works; similarly when you click the clear all formatting it only sometimes works; similarly when I save a picklist there will be random spaces missing when I go to use it in a BEO that weren't there when I saved it - Functionality in regards to saving email templates is very confusing because there are multiple ways to save and some show in certain places as opposed to others (I've watched ALL the videos on this too and it shouldn't be happening that way according to the videos - You can't do multiple \*\*SEPARATE\*\* dates for the exact same event and a booking leaves a giant chunk of time open especially if it is months apart.

Having one place for all of the events to live.

Pros

Gather offers users the ability to easily organize a vast majority of events that otherwise can become overwhelming. Being able to process payments on Gather is the BEST feature. It promotes a feeling of professionalism for the guest.

Cons

It could be a bit more streamlined, it requires some clicking that to get to new pages that could be eliminated. To be honest I am not crazy about their new branding, the symbol does not translate for me to something that makes sense.

Not only is the Gather team extremely helpful and responsive, but since I have switched it has cut my work time down significantly!

Pros

It is extremely easy to use and saves me time! I love everything about gather! Reporting is easy to generate, message templates cut down my work time, the online cc and event agreement make it easy for my team to reference and of course the Gather team is always friendly, helpful and has become an extension of my own team.

Cons

Honestly I do not have any complaints about the software maybe that I didn't use it sooner. I would like if they partnered with OpenTable, but I believe they are working on that.

Pros

From the customer/client experience, it's wonderful. Great, professional design, easy to review contracts/policies, make payments, and correspond with questions. From the admin perspective, I like that it keeps me organized. There are so many moving parts to events and it's so nice to have everything organized in the calendar, have each event represented, and every event have it's own page to store details, connect with the client & staff, track & collect payments, create and send policies to review, request payments (can be custom or based on pre-set pricing menus), and store details for your team and/or the client (i.e. event floorplan, vendor info, etc). Gather's customer support has also been amazing! They always respond to questions in a timely manner and provide webinars on a consistent basis as well.

Cons

It's pretty complicated to use and takes quite a bit of training, which can make it hard to collaborate or inform part time staff or contractors on event details (or have them help with invoicing, scheduling, etc). There is also not an ability for clients to "sign" contracts, only approve proposals. For an industry that can be pretty litigious, I wish they emphasized their event policies a bit more.

Overall, I love TS. As mentioned, I am so much more efficient than at previous places of employment without TS. And I can access it anywhere to do whatever I need to do. I would absolutely recommend TS to any restaurants/hotel/sales departments looking to increase productivity and numbers.

Pros

With , I am able to handle more work, communicate with more clients and overall be more efficient. I have been in restaurant events for many years and I am doing more than double in event revenue using TS than with a previous employer without TS. It's easy to use, relatively intuitive (once you get the hang of it) and my experience with my account rep has been amazing.

Cons

The only negative thing I would have to say is the discussions software usage with email servers. I do all of my communicating through the TS Discussions. A lot of my messages end up in Spam and clients have to reach out again, or just never see my message.

Overall, we've found Gather to be lacking technologically, and no real effort done to fix bugs. The potential of the tool is great, but something seems to be wrong internally, maybe it's financially and they don't have the budget for developers to improve the product, but overall we've been disappointed. Beware.

Pros

Being a catering company, this has helped a lot in proposal writing and managing all details for our wedding and event catering clients. It makes putting proposals together fast, and keeps a repository for all job details.

Cons

1) QUICKBOOKS - Gather does NOT sync up with Quickbooks, which in my mind is crazy. I would venture to say 90% of businesses use Quickbooks to manage their accounting. We have to manually re-enter invoices into QB. 2) SPAM! If you send messages through the Gather system, or reply to inquiries through your email and copy the email address they provide to track the messages, we've found that something around 40% of our messages go into our clients' Junk folders. We asked some colleagues who use Gather and found this is an issue that's gone on for a while, that's been brought to their attention, but nothing has been done. And we were not made aware of it when we signed up. And it has cost us money.

is a great product! Anywhere that I go, I am sure to make Tripleseat the software for bookings. They just listen and are always a few steps ahead of everyone else.

Pros

It is SO user friendly. The fact that I don't need to be in front of a computer to send a contract and update a BEO is super convenient. The team is also a dream to work with! Anytime that I need anything, I know that the team is only a quick email or call away.

Cons

Literally no cons! Very easy and modern way to book events.

Frustrating. I came from a venue that used which is so easy to use and so customizable. Comparatively Gather is so much the worst.

Pros

Nothing. I truly can not thing of a single thing that I like about Gather. It is such a disappointment.

Cons

The list... The software does not allow you to send a contract separate from a BEO. The guest portal that the client sees is difficult to navigate and looks really basic. When putting together the BEO is much more complicated than it needs to be. The chef BEO includes the bar information which is unnecessary and can be confusing. According to everyone I've spoke with this is unavoidable and there is nothing they can do about it. The look/layout of your BEO's and contracts is not customizable. You can not start a new booking from the "Day" view of the calendar only on the "Month" view. You can not customize your lead form. So you can not ask potential customers pertinent information to better help guide them to the right space/event info. Reports do not seem to be customizable. If you want to make a report that shows only certain details that is not possible. You can only use their pre made crappy ones.

I didn't.. it was forced upon me.

Gather software easy to use, printing BEO's, details added, etc., all of it is simple & clean. I wish we would have started using it years ago. It's an event planner's best friend!

Pros

Gather is super easy for customers to use, guests love it, and the contracts are simplified. I wish we would have started using it long ago!

Cons

I dislike the the application for my phone. I always end up using the website over the application and I think we could find value in the app, just not currently.

Having a platform that not only aggregates my leads, but allows me to turn them into events, send out contracts, receive payments, and pull reports so I can see all of my financials in one place is incredible. Before I was sending out customized PDFs to all of my events, but it definitely wasn't a viable long-term option. Tripleseat has allowed me to open a second location seamlessly, basically tripling our business.

Our overall experience with Gather is positive. It literally takes about 5 minutes to book a full event as we have custom templates built. Customers appreciate our timely responses due to using this software program. Everything that we send looks very professional. Another thing that is huge for us is being able to have multiple users, so we can all work together and see each other's bookings. We also appreciate the response time from customer service. Keep up the good work!

Pros

We appreciate how easy it is to send contacts out with Gather. It is extremely easy to look up customers and past events. It is a great tool for prospecting and re-booking events.

Cons

The only thing that we don't enjoy is when software programming slows down at times when the company is doing updates. This does not happen often and the flip side of it is Gather is good at staying current with market trends and keeping us updated.

I can access multiple locations in one glance at my calendar .

Pros

Its very user friendly and easy to switch between locations so I can see each calendar at a glance. My team can easily access the documents fo reach event.

Cons

My initial email to clients often ends up in a spam folder. If I could change anything it would be how the email title read in my inbox. The way it comes through as notification.... is not the most user friendly

Pros

I like how I can quickly send out information, from a lead to sending a contract-the templates are the best and saves so much time, which is critical in a competitive market. It is very user friendly-even for those without a lot of computer experience.

Cons

I wish they had automatic reminders-but they are getting there! Reports sometimes do not seem 100% accurate but I mainly use the sales and leads reports the most.

### "My Right Hand To Staying Organized!"

Organization! In this business of catering and special events you have to be able to stay organized and track communication. Before use of this product keeping track of emails and communication was a nightmare. I appreciate how everything is in one place under logical categories for ease of use. I enjoy the Team Communication section as it allows me to keep track of where I left off with a client or to communicate with my team.

Pros

I really enjoy the report function of the software. It makes it very easy to report my monthly sales to the owners and GM. I appreciate the real time updates of changes as I make them and that the customer can refresh the portal to see changes as they are made. The filters on Gather are very useful for me when it comes to sorting through bookings and events for more detailed booking information.

Cons

I would say the email feature is what I like least however with the new update I am noticing that more of my emails are now going to the clients and are not being lost to spam.

It can do multiple things by partnering with other platforms/marketplace feature and it is a simpler process to create a BEO.

Pros

It has a marketplace feature which can create a profile for your restaurant and private space for other planners and clients to view your venue.

Cons

I can not put a time table where the menus are being created. There is no way to highlight the menus and make the font larger.

The patience that the account manager had with us and the ability to share other users who switched from to Gather.

Streamlined, organized, and user friendly.

Pros

I love that not only can I quickly send materials to potential guests, but it also logs all of the information in one spot so I'm not constantly searching through emails and notes to remember any details. I also like that it takes away a lot of the extra work I was putting on myself, from computing proposals to drafting contracts, so I can respond to guests more quickly and with more information while taking away a lot of the hassle.

Cons

I don't like that I have to input so much information right off the bat - it is time consuming to have to click through to add Account, then Contact, just to put information in. I wish that step could be saved for later so quick holds could be added.
