Streamlined, organized, and user friendly.

Pros

I love that not only can I quickly send materials to potential guests, but it also logs all of the information in one spot so I'm not constantly searching through emails and notes to remember any details. I also like that it takes away a lot of the extra work I was putting on myself, from computing proposals to drafting contracts, so I can respond to guests more quickly and with more information while taking away a lot of the hassle.

Cons

I don't like that I have to input so much information right off the bat - it is time consuming to have to click through to add Account, then Contact, just to put information in. I wish that step could be saved for later so quick holds could be added.

Pros

Use of templates and ease of data transferring within system, reports, etc. Customer service is on point! 'live' edits

Cons

Not being able to change titles of some items. Being more in line for full service and not catering how we do. Not being able to save locations for deliveries with notes. Having to export items to excel to get reports Not having a 'product mix' report of menu items

It has been a huge time saver since previously we were managing events with documents and spreadsheets.

Pros

It was very easy to learn, and the customer support is great. I do not currently have it setup to accept payment, but the fact that customers can e-sign so easily has been great. They also have been diligent about making updates and improvements and clearly explaining how to use them.

Cons

The discussions (messaging through the software via email) function has been a bit tricky for me. My messages often go to customers' spam, and the formatting isn't intuitive.

Gather has so many benefits for the guests, myself, and my team. The real-time updating while the guest refreshes the page is the best. My guests LOVE the confetti when they approve BEOs on Gather.

Pros

I love using Gather for the ease of everything from creating contacts to confirming final guest counts.

Cons

My only complaint about Gather is the inevitable few and far between glitches with occasional product updates. The issues are always resolved quickly, and the customer service is top-notch!

Pros

is very intuitive and user friendly. It has helped us grow our catering and events business. Having Tripleseat keeps us organized and maintain an open line of communication with our customers as well as internal staff.

Cons

The credit card processing is a higher rate than the owners wish to pay. Otherwise I do not see any other cons in the software or the tech support.

The templates that are easily customized are my favorite. I am able to choose the template for each unique email and able to integrate photos, our wine list, events information. All looking very professional. Sending the contract which can be e-signed is awesome!

Pros

It is so user friendly! I have used so many reservation programs, Reserve, Gather, Sales Force, Catermate and CTUIT. I needed a training course for those systems, especially Sales Force! This is by far the most user friendly. I literally learned it in a day and revising templates is so easy and it looks so clean and professional.

Cons

No cons here at all. So far I have been very happy. My venue has been using Triple Seat for a year. And getting our restaurant managers on board was easy!

Pros

Easy to navigate, customizable, and terrific customer service. I have been using for years and recommend them to every event planner I know. They continue to make terrific improvements and adjustments when necessary in order to keep their product up-to-date.

Cons

Communication with clients within the Triplseat discussion tabs can be a bit tricky to navigate sometimes.

Pros

I absolutely love the ease of use of the software. Very simple and straight forward with design. The ability to communicate with your client and show them itemized statements, contracts, menus, & room items is so convenient.

Cons

I dislike that there isn't a room layout function. Additionally, I wish there were an option to classify users. For example "Kitchen/Chef" they only need to see the items directly related to their function on the system. They have no business seeing financials or anything else of a particular event.

is a grand-slam for organizing and executing event contracts, creating a usable database of customer & leads and making internal communications easy and efficient.

Pros

enables us to organize the information for coordinating, planning and executing events between our clients and our management team in a very clean and efficient manner. The communication threads keep all the details that matter under one roof. I also love that the client can browse our menus and make the critical decisions on their own time streamline the process of finalizing contracts and BEOs.

Cons

I wish there was a more robust financial modeling component allowing better forecasting and analysis. Also after the initial set up it can be a bit cumbersome and complicated to change layouts and graphics.

I love how accessible it is -- I can easily check dates on the app and using it is so simple. Also, I can work with clients and they can see the updates in real time. This helps in closing the deal in a lot of cases! It makes us look good!

Cons

I don't like how some of my updates "disappear" but the Gather team is so easy to work with and helpful when that does happen.

Overall, the experience with Gather has been great. The Customer Support is amazing, and is always quick to respond and fix any issues you may have. Everything is easy and user friendly.

Pros

This software is SUPER user friendly. I have used it my past couple positions because of how easy it is for not only my position, but anyone else who needs to look into any of the event details. I also like the unlimited viewer side of things. Communication is key and if everyone can have access to all details of the event, it makes it much easier. All of my clients find it easy to use as they can view all of their details on their BEO, and sign off on everything electronically. Being able to jump on the app is very helpful. If I am not at my desk or in the office, I am able to pull up any details anywhere.

Cons

I don't like that you are not able to edit a few forms that are already in Gather. We work with it, but it causes a bit more work on my end.

Pros

The most easeful part of planning and implementing events is having everything necessary for all teams (admin, chef, service) in a one stop, easy to use place. Since it's cloud-based I can access it at home, and give on the spot guidance to my teams who are already on site.

Cons

The only hiccup that I would like to see rectified is having any uploaded documents that my team has made readily available on the scroll over button on the calendars. For example, you scroll over an event on the calendar and it would be awesome to have not only BEOs but also uploaded menus and receipts there too.

It is easy to see what spaces are already booked for any given day. The calendar notes is also very handy as we are a very large venue with many different functions. It is easy to add an note for different "heads up" groups who do not want to host their event as a private party but do want to let us know they will be coming in

Pros

The best thing about this product is how easy it is to use! I love everything about it. They are constantly working to make things better. We have had many people call trying to get us to switch to their event software, but there is no way we will ever change. This has been a lifesaver for me! I am your biggest fan!

Cons

Some problems with the seated dinner menus printing everything on the Chef's BEO. I have managed to make it work by adding the information as "add another item".

I have always had success with . You can be confident using it to communicate with prospective clients and clients with future bookings.

Pros

's program format is very user friendly. It was developed to make creating and editing BEO's very simple. Loading your banquet and catering menus is very simple. Event quotes, contracts and payment details are all accessible without a lot of extra effort.

Cons

There's an occasional delay in menu/ pricing updating and a lot of daily emails for your team.

Keeps me organized, they have created a user friendly discussion so you can interact with other event professional.

Pros

That I can keep all my notes, beo's, kitchen menus, etc in one database online. If I ever lose a physical copy of a contact I can always go online and pull up the information.

Cons

Sometimes the system has a few minor glitches when trying to input BEO's. The thing I like the least is when I search a name and 5 Jon Doe's show up you have to select one and then start your search over if that is not the correct person.

Pros

I love the calendar feature along with the intuitive design of the software. It makes use whether a first time user or a seasoned user simple and straight forward. Also, adjusting items, drop-downs etc is SO simple

Cons

Only issue for me is the notes feature on the calendar is too small for me to notice...think that is more of a glasses issue though :)

This is definitely a great CRM tool for the events industry. The calendar tracking of bookings which can be used to auto-populate email responses is extremely useful. Wish it could have more capability for email automation though.

Pros

\- Easy to use with great support team - Weekly and daily digests can be great reporting for the team - Integration with Stripe payments is easy to use - Merge fields in auto responses pulling from calendar is very useful - Guest portals for clients to few all documents and payments is very useful

Cons

\- Not as customizable as we'd like it to be. Has limitations on reporting functions. - Doesn't integrate as easily with other software as much as other CRMs (ie. use of Zapier)

is great. I do not see us leaving or using anything else . They are wonderful.

Pros

The software is easy to use. You can work your way through the program and it is easy to navigate. The customer support is wonderful. They really work with you until they find the problem. They are all very friendly and keep you posted on finding the issue as well.

Cons

I miss putting information in sometimes because it does not require you to tab through some of the spaces. I find it is an issue for my counterpart as well.

Pros

Mobil features are great. Easy to use while on the go or at your desk. Discussion portal as well as sending contracts through the software make it so easy.

Cons

Some clients have trouble navigating the guest portal and finding where to sign the contract. Also if they don't use the original link, sometimes a credit card cannot be uploaded.

Overall, Gather is modern and concise, and makes my job easier.

Pros

Gather is easy to navigate and user-friendly! It is aesthetically pleasing and organized, which is an event planner's dream! I love the way you can quickly view your monthly calendar to see what is tentative, open, or closed. This is especially useful when guests call in asking about availability. I recommend downloading the app to have your events at your fingertips no matter where you are!

Cons

I do not like the fact that you cannot "select multiple" when it comes to archiving leads. If my Event Manager and I get busy, it is time consuming to go back and archive each lead one by one that we no longer need to see. Especially because sometimes when you archive them, they still show up in your current leads. You have to go back in to "edit lead" and "save lead" in order for the archive to register. Also, sometimes when attaching documents, the screen goes green and freezes. You have to just click all over the screen in order to make it go away and finish your message.

### "After 2.5 months of working with Gather"

Gather is a program with a great deal of potential, but lacking terribly in the follow-through at this time. While I was sending numerous emails asking to be granted permission to view reports on transaction fees and getting no response, they released a new logo and website design. And then when I asked them to enter recurring calendar event data on their event, which they had promised to do before we purchased the program, they responded by saying they won't do this for us any longer and we'll need to enter everything manually from here on out. At this time, it appears they're busying themselves with esthetics and letting consistency, agreements, and customer-care fall by the wayside.

Pros

The ease of scheduling and incorporation of invoicing is really wonderful. Also, the first month of customer service is superb.

Cons

The inquiry/"lead" forms are not customizable, the customer service drops off dramatically after a month of partnership, we primarily work with recurring events and they do not have any accommodating features for this. So, we worked out an agreement of sending in the data so they would enter it and decided to purchase the program, after a month and a half we were told they would no longer honor this agreement with us, without any warning or consideration. I also repeatedly requested access to financial reports regarding transaction fees and was dropped from conversation twice until I sent an email to a number of different departments and department heads, after which is was taken care of immediately.

Having Gather has completely changed (and enhanced) the booking experience for me. Having an organized calendar of events that is not a google calendar has been incredibly helpful for not only the event staff, but also our management staff to know what is going on daily. Everyone loves the Daily Digest emails that are a glimpse into what we have coming up that day/week. Since using Gather we have been more successful in booking events with less administrative issues such as late payments/over bookings/etc. I honestly do not have enough good things to say about this Software, it has been a life saver!

Pros

The ease of use. Being able to process payments online has been a game changer. We used to always have to have clients come in to process payments and having everything online has streamlined the booking process.

Cons

The only issue I have at the moment is that the mobile app is not as easy to work on the go. I do love having the mobile app, but I wish it was easier to send and edit the email templates.

Pros

has numerous functions that allow for speedy BEO creation and client to business communication. It lays all aspects of the event order out in easy to read fashion for the customer and creates easy to communicate documents & prep sheets for our kitchen.

Cons

The customer service team is speedy to respond but doesn't always give straightforward answers. There's a couple things I've requested but they cannot help with. Some things I request aren't easily changeable, however.

I used Gather for four years at a previous restaurant and loved it so much that I made Gather a hiring condition for my new job. The customer service is responsive and will work hard to solve any issues. They are constantly trying to find and implement new improvements and I love how they communicate their progress. Gather has fantastic training upon set up and webinars on different features each week.

Pros

I love having the Gather app on my phone. I can check my calendar, create proposals and respond to messages on the go! Our restaurant owner can also see what events are coming up through the app.

Cons

The app is a work in progress, but they have made great strides with a lot of new editing features. One feature I would like to see is the ability to edit an event's menu & beverages in the app.
