I know many ppl who use it and for jewelry business is an essential. Super precise. Pros The precision and the great ability to have reports Cons Nothing. Highly recommend! Pros The product and service by the team has been everything that we were told as well as what other clients said. We are a really small shop and at first we were worried we would not be able to use all the system has to offer. The team at wJewel made sure we got onboarded, learned (helpful videos!), and have answered every single question and resolved any issues we've had. The team's responsiveness - on email, by phone, in the system - have been some of the best customer service I have experienced. Cons The UI of the system is a bit complicated sometimes. For example - Search on one screen is three dots on another. Once you figure it out, it's not an issue. Also, some of the processes are not obvious and there aren't training videos to cover it. However, as noted above, the responsiveness of the team at wJewel makes these "cons" a non-issue. Reason for choosing wJewel We wanted a jewelry specific retail system. That was a key part of our decision. The fact that wJewel is in the US and that we would have access to the support oganization in our timezone meant a lot. Also.. that they were jewelers themselves. June 21, 2024 5.0 Pros The customer service is 5 stars. The team has always been quick to respond. Cons Since we are using it on an apple product, I think the software runs slower. In store no issue, but when traveling it’s difficult to stay connected to the store as I only have a MacBook. It is cost-effective, easy to implement and the training of employees was also a smooth process. Customer support is always available and a quick response time. We have in many instances needed to adapt the program for our retail customers and EDI functions, and we have always been to reach out and make an update. We can keep track of items down to a very detailed level and track and manage inventory effectively. I would highly recommend this system. When we discover elements of the system that are not perfect for us, we make our recommendations and the wJewel team will respond and make corrections for us immediately. Pros We like that this software has every possible necessary field for someone in the jewelry industry. Cons The software is not as user friendly as it could be. We are on a MAC system in our office so we need to toggle back and forth between using a MAC and a PC which can be complicated. The software has a lot of features which do everything we need it to at the moment. Once we get the inventory system set up and in daily use, we will start to use it as a POS. Once that is complete, we will look into using it for bookkeeping as well. Not sure if it will do that, but I think it will. \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team have been very helpful with a few little issues as they have come up while we are still getting things arranged the way we want. Pros I like that it has a lot of functions - Inventory management, POS, CRM, etc. Cons The only issue I have run into so far is the inability to fully customize the labeling. \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team have helped me customize the tagging template as much as possible. We have found some work-arounds to get me closer to what I want, just not exactly what I want on the labeling. Reason for choosing wJewel Connected Accounting and ERP and ALERE Manufacturing were not a good fit whatsoever. Genesis Total Solution could be set up to do what we needed, but it was not designed for a jewelry business and would need a lot of customization. wJewel was already set up to do exactly what we needed with very little customization. As a customer that has worked with the developer to build custom features, we have been impressed with wJewel and the willingness of the deveopment team to give us exactly what we need. Pros The software has some really nice features to manage memo and consignment in Retail Jewelry. Also, it has nice office automation tools to record recurring APs. Gold purchases are a breeze. Cons No real cons to mention. If we have a problem, the developer fixes it. They are happy to make the software do what we need it to do.
