Pros: I really like the idea of the Rich text for the email template building. The rich text enables me design email templates without having to write the html scripts.

Furthermore,The pm functions are easy to understand and it's very easy to call the variables out on any dynaform.

Lastly, this application supports Javascript which is the simplest language to learn. With the javascript the forms can be controlled to suit the business requirements.

Forms can also be easily customized using html in the panel web control feature.

Cons: The mobile application version needs a little attention. The mobile application is great because it makes users in out office location take on pending request without having to use a desktop. However, I think processmaker should work on the interface and response of the mobile app to enhance user experience .

Overall: Truly workflow has been simplified, regular office business processes have been automated. Instead of having to carry papers about from one office to another for approvals I can simply create a form On processmaker and route them digitally through the required offices

Pros: Has a solution for every thing, if not there a lot of work around techniques to get your job done, the wiki page is just awesome you can find what ever you looking for thanks for the documentation team , great user experience and easy integration with other products.

on the other hand the case history is a feature to track where the job is stuck backup and restore is easy to use over all I like it very much you don't have to be a skilled developer to get your task done, I would recommend if you enhance the form builder page with more tools, over all estimate excellent product I recommend it.

Cons: based on my experience using process maker when you fill a from and save it to draft then reopen it all the filed which been filled is gone so If I for example spending 10 min to fill a custom from then for any reason the computer crashed it saved the form with no data on it I believe there's a work around on this situation but Ill prefer to have an auto save so I keep my word saved what ever happens, on parallel task if some one toke the lead the other person has no idea if he got the case or not I recommend to keep the task even if some one has processing it , in order to track it, also on expire date the should be some kind of notification one the expiration date is approaching other that those every thing is great. thank you process maker team you did a great job.

Pros: It's easy to use and well documented. Almost proper features are integrated with the system and now uses API

Cons: Form cannot be designed the way you want but less is more right?

Old versions have slowness issue but fixed in the latest version

Overall: I've been using processmaker since version 2.5 to 3 and it was excellent in converting business process model to automation. We've been using it to create credit card process, personal loan, account opening and home loans that can cater millions of applicants and it cut our time, costs and made applications faster for customer.

The system is easy to integrate with other systems, now with API it's easier. It's easy to use provided with the wiki site and the customer support is top notch, they have forum that community of users help you with your problems

Comments: In our point of view at AAGroup, ProcessMaker was made to provide business process automation capabilities for both beginners and professionals, below is a list of our detailed view of the tool:

Pros:

1) Provides the ability to design the business process workflows that with BPMN v2 compatible directly using the standard web browsers.

2) ProcessMaker has a flexible forms designer (or DynaForms) which also can be created directly using the standard web browsers.

3) The Form designer allows the flexibility to extend the forms with JavaScript and PHP code that will facilitate creating more complicated business logic on the forms themselves as well as prior forms loading and post its submission (i.e. Triggers).

4) The new ProcessMaker v3.x provided support for Smart phones and Tablets for the created processes using either the browser or the native mobile app on (Android & iOS).

5) ProcessMaker provides tools to make the BPM developer life easy, the ProcessMaker Wiki (which contain all the documentation needed), the ProcessMaker Forums (where your questions can be answered by the community), and the ProcessMaker University (which provides useful training material and videos on the tool for beginners).

6) ProcessMaker uses a standardized process using Mantis to handle bugs reporting where the issues reported by your team or the community can be tracked for resolution.

7) ProcessMaker support has good response time according to the signed SLA where they will help you resolve your issues in a timely manner.

Cons:

It lacks business process analysis and simulation capabilities that we see in ProcessMapper (a free cloud-based software provided from the same ProcessMaker vendor Colosa), it would be nicer to make ProcessMaker a more complete package.

Pros: Process maker is a workflow solution which can be customized easily to meet business needs. It can also be easily integrated with financial systems.

Cons: - The language used in writing forms is a bit complex.

- Sometimes cases are duplicated with the same case ID.

- Sometimes the number of cases show near the inbox icon does not match the number of cases available in a user's inbox

Overall: It provides eliminates the use of paper approval forms by creating a digital signature for users

Pros: ProcessMaker helps our organization to transfer many business process into digital business process.

Cons: I think web entry form should be more flexible for user to design based on more front-end frameworks. Interface of ProcessMaker can be more cool or not just a software.

Overall: ProcessMaker is a good BPM software, it allows you to design our own web forms as the start of the workflow, action by email is also a good function for manager level to approval the request.

Pros: We have been using Process Maker en the Version 2.x and this year we are going to implement V3. It is easy to use for final users and easy to administrate.

Cons: We have issues with IE and lost of information in a Supplier-configured process. Departments updating is a very tedious task.

Overall: We have implemented processes for different business areas: HR, Finance, IT, Master Data Management. All with great results.

Pros: Flexibility in process design, great support, good documentation, powerful tool, Mobile app

Cons: Output to PDF function is fairly basic in terms of layout and design.

Overall: Powerful tool that does require good knowledge of JavaScript, PHP and MySQL however as someone with just learning these codes I have implemented a number of processes. The support team are fantastic and will help you through coding issues. Feature requests are implemented quickly and overall we have seem an improvement internally with our processes. ProcessMaker are very receptive to feedback and appear to genuinely welcome feedback requests to improve their software. I put 3 stars for ease of use as I don't know PHP, JavaScript or MySQL but am learning as I go. Overall compared to other vendors I investigated, for the price point this is a very good tool.

Pros: The best part of this software is the form designer. It's highly flexible and can easily be used to create complex forms.

Another thing is the documentation. It's rich, extensive and very valuable to both beginners and advanced users.

Another thing is the great support. The few times I've had to contact support, their response was fast and very helpful

Cons: While the form designer (dynaform) is very useful, I think it's become more complicated to format using it than in earlier versions of the software.

I occasionally experience some lagging when I try to design very complex workflows.

I also think the interface looks dated and needs some updating

Pros: I like the platform"s flexibility. I was amazed when I change the default language to other languages and it worked well. The platform is so flexible that it allows me to add my own plugins, through which I can add more functionalities. I also like the fact that I can access the platform via mobile devices

Cons: The new versions e.g 3.3 does not accept some javascript and php syntax that older versions does, hence the need to modify already written codes in such instances

Overall: The platform has improved the turn around time of workers in my organizational. E.g Salaries is easily paid to more than 100 persons at the same time using this software.

Pros: Processmaker is the first (after many others) that is exactly what workflow should be. The general architecture is solid. It is a great product. Although the database gets some getting used to and is a fairly steep learning curve, the designer and engine meet all expectations. It is easy to create and publish your first workflow. Complex workflows are a breeze.

Cons: More complex reporting requires significant knowledge of the backend database which takes time.

Overall: It is an awesome product.

Overall: I love this software! It's full featured and does exactly as it promises. The walk-throughs are great too and the wiki details are out-of-the-box helpful. Great job.



I didn't rate the support because I'm still on the community edition but taking a quick look at the community forum, it feels like support would be there if I needed it.

As a side note... I did have some initial challenges with the install as it takes some technical skills I don't have and the CEO got wind of it and reached out to point me in the right direction with a link to some auto installers - https://bitnami.com/stack/processmaker - the one I used worked perfectly and I was up and running in 4 minutes.

Recommendations to other buyers: Installing in cloud feels like a better option than trying to self host. I couldn't see any information on that until I was advised. Maybe it's there and I just missed it.

Pros: It is easy to build a workflow and to send emails including variables.

Cons: It is difficult to create some triggers. Specially those that include an input document. I suggest to include an option in the email sending buttons for attaching documents that are in the input document data more easily.

Pros: We tried this product on a trial basis as we are comparing it to other workflow products we currently use to see if it has better and easier capabilities.

Cons: We did note that ProcessMaker Workflow does offer a bit more accessible and easier methods of establishing the workflows than what we are currently using. ProcessMaker Workflow does seem to be a bit more intuitive.

Overall: The overall experience was very positive and with a bit more time and actual usage of this product may be one of the programs we may upgrade to in the future if not cost prohibitive.

Pros: Procewssmaker is a very powerful workflow management tool. Easy to create even complex streams very quickly. One of the nicest things is the ability to get started with the Open Source version of the tool before purchasing a commercial license.

Overall: Me and m team thinks this is a great software ..its something like opensource SAP. At Start it was a little difficult. new REST API is great move taken by company.

Comments: I have over a week experienced with Process Maker, this is a good software in overall except some minor issues that should be improved.

Pro: Ease of use, excellent documentation

Cons: There are some functionalities that I would like the software to have

- Unicode support: I was unable to neither use Vietnamese nor Russian. In fact, I could type but the software could not save and display correctly.

- Copy & Paste: I was unable to copy and paste a component

- MultiSelection: The software does not allow to select multi components at the same time.

- Lanes arrangement: Once I put a Lane in a Pool, I could not rearrange it.

- Lines and joints are displayed incorrectly when sizing the canvas. I had to readjust them.

- Slow response from Customer Service: I had a problem right before my presentation, and had send an e-mail to Customer Support but did not get response until I fixed it myself few hours later. I had to postpone my presentation.

This is a good platform for creating BPM projects but it's too costly.

Comments: It,s a good BPM software. The work flow and form generation, user authentication, less coding are good but i face some big problem Which i describe below

First one - expanding grid in horizontally-'if i have multiple fields in a grid then grid expand horizontally and generate a scroll bar which is not a user friendly structure. Please Solve this issue.

Second one - your formulas for grid fields i.e. when we divide two grid field and outcome is decimal number then the formula property round off the decimal fields i.e. if outcome is 2.4 the it show 2 and outcome is 2.6 then it show 3'. Its a very poor outcome of formula property. If any project not required rounding of numbers so what the developer do. Think of it.

Third one - your form looks and feel is very poor. All the fields are align vertically. We cannot arrange them as desired.

Fourth one - we cannot refresh the browser cause when we change some code on form and we want to see the output the we have to go at designer tab and select the project and the go step by step on that page for output. These steps are taking too much time and make processmaker performance down also developer performance. Please resolve this issue.

All these problem i have faced in Processmaker 2.8 community version.

The overall opinion of mine is that this BPM software is not suitable for complex requirement, only for plain and straight requirement.

I'm Sorry for my wording, if anyone hurt.

Please resolve these issues so processmaker can work better.

Comments: I took position as VP of a small company 2 years ago. Before I found processmaker, our daily operational processes such as expense claim, leave application, staff reviews were almost conducted manually with MS excel as the sole tool. After I did a few research, I selected processmaker to automate these processes by myself (not the developers reported to me!). The reasons i stick to processmaker are:

1 it is complete open source, with sufficient instruction and self guided support.

2 it is powerful and flexible and easy to pickup. I used to be a good programmer but it was almost 20 years ago. However it takes me no much time to know how to injet my business logics into the drag and drop workflow using PHP which I haven't touch before landing on Processmaker. Processmaker provided very detail instructions from simple workflow design to advanced topics such as RESTFUL API.

Comments: i have searched for a long time and i must say, that processmaker fits my needs on a standalone workflowengine best.

i love the simple plugin mechanism an the flexibility of the triggers. So i was able to integrate 3rd party soap apps ver easyly

with the new designer, we can even win pitches agains well known java applications.

Great work on your 3.0

In only 2 days we have implemented a showcase with a heavy weight magento-store on a monster Adobe Indesign Backend.

What a great fun to work with.

The very good documentation helped me like a charm.

Processmaker is the perfect base to integrate workflows in webapplications and its your best friend if you speak php.

I hope for the future, that the backend code will be a little more modern and Zend Framework or Symfony or Cake will find the way in the very cool product.

Pros: Powerful functions! And offer community edition for startup companies. It is really useful and powerful. I am planning to put all my process on it.

Cons: I would suggest the development team could provide more tutorial or other video training course. I did have difficulties in learning the operation of the software.

Overall: The software help me clarify my work progress and help improve my client experience!

Pros: Ease of use an feature sets

Cons: I used to dislike their older interface but the latest release is sweet

Overall: WAs able to learn how to use it and export models within a day. Work mates found it useful and are considering using it as well. The built in Dashboards made me look like a star

Pros: It was easy to create dynaforms and templates. I also found the ability to save dynaforms and import them very handy. I liked the overall look of the dynaform created

Cons: I found it extremely difficult to extract processes, then import them again. I had to redraw my processes. I also wish there was a way to align arrows horizontally and vertically, and equally space them.

Pros: Easy to use and gives my business more value. I installed really fast and start using with small capacitation.

Cons: I would like to have more youtube videos about the use and some small customizations. At this moment I don't have any problem that is why I don't have any concern or problem.

Comments: The software has been tested on the issuance / management of holiday requests, compensations, allowances, bonuses and attendance in both English and Arabic.

We also worked with Stock management processes such as stock-in, stock-out, and purchase requests , also in both languages at different clients.

There were no problems experienced after the final Implementation and Go-live stage up to this day.

Note: in low-IT awareness organizations, It is much better to Implement the software with the presence of an IT department and a dedicated IT manager who understands business process well for the better administration of processmaker.

We highly recommend this software application.

Pros: I am using the ProcessMaker in my organization, and I can say it is very well designed. Easy to use interface email alike, and with set of really powerful process design and use tools

Cons: It is difficult, it is very well designed. Perhaps that you could have more predefined processess or a market to download them

I started 3 days ago and able to create a workflows for training. It's an easy product to pick up.

Pros: I'm only 3 days old on the product usage, can't comment much at this moment but overall I consider this is an easy software to learn. I follow youtube demo effectively but still hunger for more knowledge

Cons: The pricing level is not available. As a new comer to use your product, we need more video demo on "how to create". This will help user to know your product a little in depth on more complicated workflow

Pros: Easy to configure the basics but also easy to customize. Uses common language like PHP, Java and SQL.

Cons: Installing in Linux could be a very stressful time consuming task.

Overall: I've just had problems installing the Linux version on my server but I had the support from process maker and made it. The community also helps you a lot regarding customizing the software to your own need. With some programming expertise it's possible even to the final user to configure it very well.

I'm really satisfied with all the capabilities.

Recommendations to other buyers: All people that got in touch with me from processmaker were very friendly and helped me with all kinds of problems. Even in the community version.

Comments: Since the very beginning around 7 years ago, we use the Community Edition of ProcessMaker and are very pleased about its functionality, design, develpment and scalability. Unfortunately, since the enterprise version is for large corporations, none of our projects have benefited from it yet.

Thanks for all the good code the developers of ProcessMaker wrote and made our projects successful. We will be using PM 3.0 now with REST functionality and are thrilled to integrate this software easily into 3rd party software solutions now.

10 on 10 - Process Maker is a must to have Workflow Engine

Pros: Web based Process designer makes it really easier to access, create and amend your workflows on the fly.

Cons: At times the system seems to lag when designing complex workflows.

Overall: I've been into the BPM space and Digital Transformation for the past decade. Process Maker makes one of the wisest choices when looking for a capable and comprehensive Workflow and BPM softwares.

Recommendations to other buyers: Process Maker by far is the best of its kind and is value for money.

Comments: I'm using the community edition and currently on the process of buying the license. I had to start with Standard package as the license for package that I really need is expensive.

On using it, it seem that ProcessMaker is easy to use to IT but still quite difficult to business user especially to beginners. However, with support and guidance from ProcessMaker local supplier, this 'problem' is eliminated.

Pros: ProcessMaker is a light platform software with a world class standard concepts and a very friendly framework.

Cons: Agility to integration with SSO to diferent core applications.

Overall: Since our first experience on 2.5 GPL version we had very good results and pilot tests for internal use and interaction with suppliers.
