Pros We like the ease of use as well as the adaptability to our needs. We have so many payers, not just private insurance and so many different program that needed individual rules to make the billing work and the implementation team made it work. Cons The waterfall billing has been slow to evolve. When there are two payers, it would be nice to have the bill go to the first and then automatically to the second. Reason for choosing EHR YOUR WAY We picked EHR Your Way do to Dr. Kumara being a physician and understanding all of the issues with documentation and billing. It has multiple features that are needed for me as a counselor, as well as the front office staff. Great all around software program for mental health providers. We were able to get a completely customized system for a fraction of the price quoted from other companies. The EHR Your Way development team worked closely with us to understand our unique and complex service and billing needs and created a user friendly system to meet those needs. When it was time to roll-out the system, the EHR implementation team provided easy step-by-step videos on functionality. Staff were available 24/7 and responded quickly to telephone calls and email requests for assistance. In recent months , they transitioned to communicating any enhancements or problems through a “ticket” system within the EHR Your Way system. I was initially concerned that this system would reduce the prompt attention that I had been used to. Not so. In actuality, this ticket system has been time-saving and the staff continues to be as helpful and responsive as always. I have heard many nightmare stories from organizations who used other electronic records companies to develop their software (constant bugs,clunky and inefficient, never finished the job, etc.) So glad I went with EHR Your Way. Pros Everything is tailored to our needs and Customized for much less $ than comparable systems. Does everything we need it to do. Hardly any problems. User friendly. Cons At first, I didn’t like that the system wasn’t set up to notify our gmail accounts when we receive a message in the system. They respond to inquiries and concerns quickly and ongoing communication between our teams has really helped with successfully integrating the system into our practice. Pros EHR Your Way has a great library of available documents and it was relatively simple to have their team create the documents that we needed for our practice. Our clinicians find the system easy to use to complete their documentation and assessments. The ease of sharing needed documents through each client's portal with external providers (ie School personnel, state agencies) is amazing and makes communication among all stakeholders easy. The process of creating, submitting and tracking claims makes the billing process less complicated and has decreased the time it takes to complete weekly billing. Cons We are not a traditional outpatient practice and had to have the EHR Your Way team create some documents for us. This did delay our system from going live, however our implementation team was great and super responsive in getting our needed documents created! Reason for choosing EHR YOUR WAY The main feature of EHR Your Way that differentiates it from other systems that we considered is the ease of sharing needed case communication and documents between all stakeholders involved with each youth and family. Cons The language barrier can be difficult in the beginning but the willingness of the customer service support made everything so easy. I get notifications for upcoming due reports. Therefore it's good for remaining in compliance. I can send and receive important documents to my clients. I can even use the system to message my clients, which is great for maintaining confidentiality. Cons On the ISP, the target dates auto populate incorrectly. I also have to choose my name as the provider under each intervention that I choose. Between the YouTube videos, and support, this EHR was easier to adapt to than others we have used. I access multiple aspects of this EHR; patient records, patient ledger, billing, scheduling, claims management, etc., and have found EHR Your Way easy to navigate. Cons I do wish we were informed when updates are implemented within the system. Updates don't happen often, but when they do, I would like to receive a message letting me know. Cons Learning the EHR platform seemed to be a challenge for a couple of months for me, however, I believe it was more because I was going from a different platform and the functioning was totally different.. My favorite features include the instant messenger. I can message anyone (ancillary staff, pharmacy, scheduling dept, etc) that is logged on to the system. Their support/IT system is phenomenal! They are thorough, quick to respond, and they have provided me with personalized instructional videos to help me with any issues. Overall, I highly recommend this EHR system to others. Cons I wish the system was more personalized to users. Rather than strolling down the long list of forms/links on the left hand side, they should keep the top 5 links open so users can pick and choose which forms they want to use. We are on a first-name basis with our support team and they are always very responsive. By converting to this software, we have better data, higher billing revenues, and improved staff documentation. Pros Our organization offers outpatient and inpatient services for individuals with mental health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. With such a wide range of services, we needed a health record that could handle the large number of note templates we use as well as our immeasurable number of billing rules. EHRYourWay has proved to be a user friendly, easy-to-navigate option that can stand up to our organization's billing complexities. Cons As with any health record system, converting from our old software to EHRYourWay was a tedious process. EHRYourWay's staff helped us navigate through the conversion with constant support. They helped ease the burden by providing conference calls, screen sharing q&a sessions, and an in-person site visit. The interface is clean, intuitive to use, and the workflows are well configured. I am always able to easily access the system from any computer at any location at any time. It is very easy to look at the client's record, complete notes, and prescribe medications. The platform also has a built-in module to order and review labs. Collaboration is easy by using built-in messenger and an internal email system, also used for HIPPA compliant communication with clients. We are using EHRyourway at our outpatient practice as well as our Ambulatory facility in one integrated system. Cons Minor areas of the interface such as color-coding of the schedule and graphical representation of statistical data could be improved.
