### "Great SIS"

WCA uses Gradelink to connect parents with their child's school experience. Being able to see grades, discipline reports, and upcoming events allow families to gain insight into the school.

Pros

Gradelink is a very simple School information System (SIS). As such, the setup time is very fast. The Gradelink support team is very helpful in getting the support that is necessary.

Cons

Because the SIS is a simple, there are not many additional features. The basic features- gradebook, lesson plans, etc. are accessible. However, the more complex features are not available.

Very satisfied. This product fulfills all our needs at a far more reasonable price than its competitors. I still can't get over how good the customer service is.

Pros

Gradelink is simple to use. It does not over complicate things. Yet, it covers everything we need as a school. I almost forgot this. The customer service is unparalleled in the business world. It is absolutely fantastic. The response time is very short and the help is great.

Cons

The aesthetic is not great. I feel like the colors and overall theme could be modernized and improved. I would also love it if they made a feature where you could access one student and all his/her grades (and edit them). If a student is absent, it would be nice to enter all their missing grades in from one screen instead of having to click around.

### "KUDOS for GRADELINK"

I am new to the school and new to using the Gradelink system. I adapted quickly and thank the customer service support team for their quick responses and help.

Pros

The Gradelink system is easy to navigate and use. I am in charge of attendance, report cards, and entering information for enrollment. When ever I am in a jam, there's always a quick response when I call or email. I sent an email this morning and the turn around time was 10 minutes, awesome. It' safe, secure and easy to use.

Cons

So far, I haven't had an issue that hasn't been resolved with the help of a Gradelink Rep either by phone or email.

My overall experience is horrible. There is zero support and understanding of what you are getting. I reached out for help multiple times.

Pros

I have ZERO pros. \[sensitive content hidden\] promised support that was NEVER given. I paid to enroll me and I never received support to make this work. Please do NOT trust this system.

Cons

There are no pros for GradeLink. This has been the most expensive product. There is no customer support. There is no clear understanding of what you are paying for. I paid for the enrollment package. I really thought my sales person, \[sensitive content hidden\] was trustworthy. He knew I was starting a nonprofit. He nor \[sensitive content hidden\] helped at all. My zoom call with \[sensitive content hidden\] was not soom at all. I never saw his face, however he logged into my computer for a minute but taught me nothing. I spent $1000 and have no program that works. Do not buy this. Go to Skyward or Powerschools.

He was professional, patient, and highly knowledgeable, taking the time to thoroughly understand my issue and resolve it efficiently. \[sensitive content hidden\] communicated clearly and courteously throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled correctly. He also took the initiative to demonstrate ways to make the most effective use of our plan, which was greatly appreciated. would like to note one area for improvement in the overall support process. On a few occasions, I left voicemail messages and did not receive a return call, which was challenging given the time-sensitive nature of my issue. However, once \[sensitive content hidden\] recognized that I was attempting to make contact, he proactively returned my call and immediately provided exceptional assistance. I was working against a tight deadline to resolve a dead link and publish report cards, and his responsiveness at that moment was invaluable. \[sensitive content hidden\] took the time to help me identify the right questions to ask and clearly understand the issue I was experiencing, something I had struggled to articulate despite Gradelink’s many excellent training videos and resources, which I truly appreciate. ### "The Small School's DREAM SIS"

Experience has been wonderful! Don't see us changing to another platform anytime soon! We've used others that were meant for bigger schools and they were too clunky. Gradelink meets our needs perfectly and when we ask for a new feature, its gets added.

Pros

It is simple, easy to use and it gets the job done for our small schools totaling less than 100 students combined. \[sensitive content hidden\] in Support is the best! No matter what the question I ask, she always answers in a very timely manner and solves the issue for me (mostly of my own doing).

Cons

What can I say...we don't really have any downsides. Every issue we have had gets resolved. Our only real regret about Gradelink is that we didn't get it sooner!!!!

My overall experience has been great. We are a small school with many needs and gradelink has helped us to take our school to a new level. We are very satisfied with the customer support. I have talked to several representatives, one of them being Josue, who has helped me a couple of times; he has been a great help and has made the process super easy. All my experiences with the representatives have been good.

Pros

The customer support is great! I always have many questions and I get them answered! Whenever I don't get my call through, they follow up very quickly.

Cons

It doesn't have an app for a teacher login. The teachers often have commented how they which they could log in "easier" from their mobile devices.

This is our first year, and while GL does not quite function as we would like, we are grateful for great technical support, which makes day-to-day challenges so much easier.

Pros

Our school's tech support representative \[sensitive content hidden\] has been excellent. He has been quick to respond, giving very specific and helpful responses.

Cons

Being an international school, we would love to see Gradelink address differing time zones within a system and combine semester-long classes with year-long classes within the class schedule feature.

Overall, I am very pleased with this program and my experience with Gradelink. There is lots of help available when needed and the program provides lots of training and is easy to use.

Pros

So far, Gradelink has been very user-friendly and the implementation staff has been very helpful. Ther are lots on online tutorials available as well.

Cons

I don't really like the look of the product when signed in. The text looks very small. It's challenging when working on my laptop, but this is just a small issue compared to the ease of the product.

### "Answer to a small school's needs"

I have been very satisfied with Gradelink, from usability to customer service when there is a question or concern. The staff is always polite and efficient. I would like to see some of the"extras" included in our package, simply from a budgetary perspective. We are a little school, your tuition/fees program looks excellent, I would like to see if it more effective that what we are using now. I highly recommend Gradelink and have spoken to other administrators about our success with the program.

Pros

I needed a program that would be easy to implement, easy to use, and affordable. After reviewing a number of SIS programs, Gradelink met the needs of the school. Having the program for five years I have found new staff members are able to jump in quickly, parents love the ease of communication and availability of attendance, grades, and comments concerning their children. We also use the "news" page to keep parents up to date with reminders and current events. I use the program for snow cancellation and delays, as well as blast informational emails to our community, including alumni.

Cons

There are still a couple of pieces of information that take me time to access, including a quick attendance report on an individual student or a readable transcript that is inclusive of attendance, but a part of that might be my lack of knowledge. Customer service has been excellent in helping us customize report cards, something we could not do independently. Some of the staff is still reluctant to use the planning program to its full capacity, I'm not sure if there is an overarching reason or merely a comfortability learning curve.

I'm not sure these alternatives SIS companies are correct, the program is not allowing me to put in the companies as I remember them. Some programs were way out of our budget, some were far more or far less than what we needed, Gradelink was the right fit. The people I spoke with during the process were hugely helpful, professional, knowledgeable, patient. I spent a summer researching and experimenting with free trials. Gradelink won me over, and the staff has been nothing but supportive about the decision, which is why I have recommended Gradelink to other administrators that have been dissatisfied with their services. Gradelink grows with our school and our needs. I expect to be a long time customer.

Very positive. This is our first proper school management system and I am cannot recommend enough how impressed I am with the system and what it provides.

Pros

I always look for software that is intuitive and easy to pick-up and use. I found this to be the case with Gradelink. They provide an excellent Customer service to help get started and throughout the process of learning how to use the software as well as ongoing customer service.

Cons

As we are located outside of the US, organizing a way to pay the setup fee and annual fee took some time to sort out. This was eventually resolved.

### "They Don't Stop Trying"

Any time you get stuck, help is very near at hand. They have an incredible number of short videos that get right to the point and handle almost any question you have about how to do something. Their tech support is usually very prompt and has been able to help us work through some of the unique situations we've encountered. We're still working at some but are confident something will be worked out.

Pros

The integration into our existing system was painful, mainly because our previous processes were primitive and we had some unique requirements being a religious school that is partly a boarding school and partly a local school and serves both high school and college. Gradelink was not setup for that scenario but worked very hard with us to create work-arounds that, after one year, seem to be working well. Their communication included all the methods we needed and replaced a hodge-podge of approaches we had been using. It is now seamless and very useful. Our parents are very appreciative of the improved communication we now offer as well as the mobile app that lets them more easily track their child's progress. Teachers love the ease with which assignments can be created and scored. The addition of Google Classroom integration was huge for our school as we a fully committed to Classroom and can now easily sync grades. Their approach works well with few hiccups once you have the process down.

Cons

We were told that we would be able to handle both our high school and our college with one "copy" of Gradelink. This has proved problematic, but GL continues to work with us on solving those problems. There are still problems we are having with transcripts and class rank and hope those get solved before the end of the year.

Gradelink was suited for smaller institutions like ours and priced reasonably for what they offer.

Our service respresentative \[sensitive content hidden\] Nevar was the most helpful person! She has such a sweet spirit and compassionate heart. She clearly understood the time constraints we were under and also showed a positive attitude even when we posed questions that were most likely all quite usophisticated. She was about to lead us through several challenging areas leading us to corrections as well as solutions. Her sense of humor and willing attitude made my day end with positive thoughts and direction. \[sensitive content hidden\] is certainly a keeper! I will always ask for her when I have a problem because she is that quiet spirit that makes things better just because she is there! Would be more helpful to be able to modify/develop your own enrollment forms instead of needing to contact support. However, support’s response has been quick and helpful.

We are still trying to figure out all the features. And although there are tons of training videos, a class would be so helpful!

Pros

Support! I love \[sensitive content hidden\] who helps with website and \[sensitive content hidden\] who always helps me with report card issues!

Cons

Having to design my own report cards and create the classes. Literally hate that. It’s not too user friendly for the teachers either.

Pros

Comprehensive...it covers the needs of our school from grades to transcripts

Still have areas i have not become proficient... but tech support exceeds expectations

I love that it doesn't matter where I am I have access to Gradelink.

Pros

I came into this position and Gradelink was already being used. Unfortunately there was no one to train me on how to use it so I had to learn on my own. Luckily Gradelink is very user friendly and it was pretty easy for me to figure it out on my own. Any time I have had a concern or a question the support staff has been amazing. Just recently I had questions on the ability to have attendance messages sent out automatically, not only did I get a quick response, \[sensitive content hidden\] created a step by step video showing me exactly how to do what I needed to do.

Cons

I wish that there was a little more flexibility in regards to changing the order that classes appear on certain screens. I would also love to be able to customize the grades and divisions. Finally I wish that when printing up certain reports, such as the family directory, I could customize how it prints, especially the size of the font because it prints so small.

Great people with a product that has promise that still needs some refining

Pros

Parent & Student app for smartphones and amazing response times from some wonderful individuals. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is super and really works to help you to solve your issues. Love the optional SmartSend Pro.

Cons

Billing--cumbersome and frustrating. Limited ability to tailor the reports you want. We have to download information and put it into excel and build a pivot table to get the information we need for our financial guy. Another issue is pulling data quickly. They are some reports that are easy pull and some have way to much information that is hard to tailor. I simply cannot pick a high school teacher and print out all her rosters with exactly what I want on the roster.

Reason for choosing Gradelink

Recommendation from another school administrator that had tried several SIS. The parent portal/app was very, very positive for their parents

Pros

Having a system that parents were able to access with all student information and the ability to view and pay their bills.

Cons

Having to email for customer support, most times when there is an issue it needs to be resolved right then so it's best to be able to speak with someone versus emailing and waiting for a response.
