Being able to see grades, discipline reports, and upcoming events allow families to gain insight into the school. Pros Gradelink is a very simple School information System (SIS). As such, the setup time is very fast. The Gradelink support team is very helpful in getting the support that is necessary. Cons Because the SIS is a simple, there are not many additional features. The basic features- gradebook, lesson plans, etc. are accessible. However, the more complex features are not available. Once learning the location of the tasks I frequent (which took all of a few hours or so of use), it is by far the best online gradebook our system has used. Pros Compared to our previous system, Gradelink is far superior. Entering grades and assignments is easy, and straight forward. In the past I have sent feedback with an issue I was having with the login procedure, and I can tell improvements have been made in that area (indicating the developers are listening). Tracking student information with not just normal information, but also with disciplinary issues makes it easier to see if a student is acting up in multiple classes or just one. Cons There are times when Gradelink has issues with the login procedure. This was mentioned in the Pros area. The issue where having been away from Gradelink after an extended period of time (e.g. overnight, or over the weekend), it will attempt to continue to work with the current session when in reality it has been logged out. It appears the session is still active, and then ultimately updates itself indicating the session has expired (losing whatever work you have already inputted). This has greatly improved over the course of the prior and current semester. We have used Gradelink for about seven years, and we are very happy with this program. We use it for everything in the school - communications, attendance and grades, lunch billing, discipline, lesson plans, enrollment, and more! It's very convenient to only have to use one program for all these things. Pros Gradelink is very user-friendly once you learn the ropes. They offer great tutorial videos for every aspect of the program, which is super helpful. We use the communications feature (both email and mass texting) almost daily at our school. It is perfect for last-minute reminders about due dates or for changes in schedules, as in snow days and weather delays. Cons The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because there are some features that are missing that would be very helpful. The Gradelink app is great for parents and students, but there is no option for an app for the teachers or admin to use. It would be so helpful to be able to communicate via our phones, but instead we have to use a laptop to send messages. Gradelink does open on a phone browser, but it does not optimize for mobile viewing and will cut off the screen. The other feature that is inconvenient is that parents can't enroll from the app. They must log in on a laptop to do this. April 22, 2026 5.0 Pros I started using Gradelink when our administration decided to change our student information system. It was very helpful when transferring all of our information into a new database. Customer Service was top notch when I had to call and ask about any concerns or questions I had. I worked as the Office Manager and was in charge of making sure everything transferred smoothly. I now work as a teacher and use this for student and teacher information. This help keeps track of students behavior, grades, billing as well as the teachers lesson plans and calendars. It helps our administration to look and see what students are interrupting our class management strategies and to better help us flow and make progress. Cons That it doesn't remember your payment information or allow you to use Apple Pay. This would make payments faster and even more convenient. April 23, 2026 5.0 We have used Gradelink for 6 years now and overall have been very pleased. We know that it is capable of so much more than we are using it for. Pros Gradelink is an amazing tool. On the administrative side of it, I love how easy it makes communicating with our parents/staff through email and text. We have used systems in the past that charged us per person per text that we sent out; with Gradelink, we pay a flat amount per student for that same service. I also like that parents are able to log in to see where their student is academically also where they stand financially. Teachers are able to keep great records of their students' assignments along with grades. Customer support is great! If you have a question, there are many tips and help videos that are there to support you. Cons One thing that I wish was different is how you must conclude each term at the end of a quarter. This makes it a bit of a hassle if anything needs to be changed at a later time. I also would like to see there be an option for dropdown categories in Billing. We have parents that use it to pay tuition along with lunch orders and after school activities. Unless they specifically make a note, it gets confusing when they make a payment for multiple categories. A dropdown option could streamline that. Principal Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Happy Customers at Beaverdam Christian Academy" April 14, 2026 5.0 I love it and recommend it to most everyone I know who is either starting a christian school or currently has one but doesnt have a SIS or online grading system. I believe this is the best investment our school has made. Our teachers have really enjoyed the gradebook and managing the classroom and grades and report cards through this SIS and it has streamlined a lot of the student information for our school. We are very happy. Pros The availability and convenience of the support staff that help you when you need support with website or enrollment processes or even financial processes within your school. I always get almost immediate responses back from the support team to help either build something on your website, troubleshoot an issue or just remind me again on how to do something on my end for my school. Everyone at gradelink is so kind and goes above and beyond to help! Cons The APP is not great and I do get some parent feedback on not liking how the app looks and is not super useable on their phones, specifically the glitching and finding grades, assignments, and other features, including the bill pay and so forth. I also do not like that certain reports can not be run easily on my end, including when someone fills out an enrollment form and selects something that says "i have an allergy and then lists the allergy", i should be able to pull a report that covers all students with their listed allergies with what parents have written in this space, along with other written reponses. The way that enroll-me talks to the gradelink reports is not user friendly in my opinion. I've consistently received assistance from the Gradelink help center, and the parent portal is also very user-friendly. Pros What I appreciate most about Gradelink is its user-friendly design. As a lead teacher, I oversee the training and support of my fellow educators on Gradelink. The feedback from teachers is consistently positive regarding the Lesson Plans and the Gradesheet features. I particularly enjoy the ability to save and duplicate Lesson Plans. Transitioning to digital Report Cards has significantly saved us time. Overall, Gradelink proves to be an excellent platform for our school. Cons The one aspect I find less appealing is the State Standards. It would be beneficial to have access to all State standards within the lesson plan section. I've noticed that several standards are missing, and it would be great to access them on our end. Cons Once a semester is completed, I am unable to access previous grades, which makes it difficult to review student progress over time. My parents have not expressed any dislike in using the program to monitor their student's progress during the school year. I use the lesson plan component to plan upcoming assignments and the program allows me to put them in the grade book so that parents can see their student's future assignments. April 15, 2026 5.0 Overall - as a teacher and a parent - I find Gradelink to be an amazing tool from both sides. I can check my own child's grades, account, etc. As a teacher, everything I need is right at my fingertips. It would be difficult to find something better. Pros What I truly appreciate about Gradelink is the ease of managing student data. Yes, it will calculate grades for me, but I also have the choice of how to grade, how to weight those grades, etc. It's easy to enter assignments, etc. No more grade book! I also love the lesson planning feature. Need extra time? Extend the lesson. Didn't get something finished? Rearrange your lessons! It's SO easy, and admin. always has access to them, so they can easily access them for substitutes, etc. I don't use anything else for lesson planning. Cons As much as I like the lesson planning feature, it is very inconvenient not to be able to access future grading periods or go back and look at a previous period. It would be very helpful in planning from one quarter to the next to be able to access and enter plans for the future. I believe Gradelink offers many features for teachers, but I have not been educated on the other parts that can be used by teachers. I love how easy it is to push the asterisk to see all the students at once for the report cards. A lot f Pros I love the convenience of the report cards and the ease of the grades. Easy for attendance as well. Finding information on addresses is easy as well. Cons I have not learned how to put in discipline yet, a few steps, maybe once I use it more, I will remember to find everything. I use it on a weekly basis and it allows me to keep parents in the loop with how their child is performing in school. Pros I appreciate how it helps me with communication with parents. The email function is easy to follow and access prior emails. The security of grades and communication is helpful as well. I use this on a weekly basis for inputting grades, lessons, etc. Cons I wish I had more individual access for what I can set for my default options rather than having to go through our school representative and have her change it. It enables us to provide information to our families in a timely manner whether it is school communication or the ability for families to monitor student progress. We have used Gradelink for seven years and appreciate the quick response of the support team when we have questions or need to resolve a problem that has occurred.
