It has saved us so much time and allowed us to compile huge amounts of data for projects that would not have been possible without it. It's step-by-step job design makes it easy to troubleshoot any issues that arise. While it takes a little while to learn everything that Veera is capable of doing, the amazing customer support staff are there to help each step of the way. Pros I can't say enough about the top notch customer service provided by Rapid Insight. When I am stumped on a problem, I can call them on the phone or send an email and a representative gets right back to me. I have spent hours (literally hours) working one-on-one with a customer service rep until my problem is solved and I can successfully complete my project. I also like the fact that Veera employees really understand the field of higher education better than their competitors. When it comes to the drag and drop interface, building jobs is a breeze. If I need to make a change, it's simple to find that particular step in the job, make the fix, and then run the job again for an updated data set. I also appreciate the fact that Veera can output my data in many different formats from excel worksheets or Tableau extracts for additional analysis to succinct reports for our stakeholders. Cons If I could change one thing, it would be for Veera and Advanced Analytics to come together in the same package. Additionally, to make changes, we can easily adjust filters instead of sending the project back to IT. Cons The interface isn't super pretty, but the results make up for the difference. I wish reports could be exported into Power BI. I hear the company is working on that functionality. The interface is intuitive and is a quick climb up the learning curve. The prior reviewer no longer works at my institution and in fact never worked with any of the Rapid Insight products, so he is in no position to comment. I have been working with their software for 6 years now and plan on being a customer for a long time. By the way their customer support and service has far exceeded both expectations and any equivalent vendor experiences I've had in the past Cons Nada. It is a powerful tool for the statistically and programmer savvy, but just as powerful for someone with little to no experience working with data or with only drag and drop computer ability. I appreciate Rapid Insight's flexibility in its ability to run big and small jobs and the ability to keep track of the exact parameters used when reporting on data. One of my biggest challenges at work prior to purchasing Rapid Insight was responding to data request that asked a question in a slightly different manner or using slightly different parameters. Rapid Insight makes it simple to tweak and adjust queries. I can also build quick reports during meetings to respond to questions with something beside "I'll get back to you on that". Cons This is not a data visualization tool. If you want slick-looking reports, you need to do additional work, though Rapid Insight does seamlessly interface with Tableau, if you have that software. You can also use the data outputs to build graphs and charts in Excel and then refresh the data/charts on demand or on specific time intervals through Rapid Insight timer exports.
