Everyone I interfaced with was so committed to my success, they all went above and beyond the call of duty to onboard me and make sure all my questions were answered. I spent hours going back and forth between TherapyNotes and Medicaid, and was completely lost on why I wasn't being reimbursed by this payer. \[sensitive content hidden\] took extra time away from her already busy desk to troubleshoot with me and offer solutions. Not only did she demonstrate excellent customer service skills, a kind/patient demeanor, and empathetic listening, but she also made sure a plan was in place before ending the call. Her customer service alone is reason enough for me to continue my TherapyNotes subscription. They explain pretty well each service that's offered. Pros Easy to understand, learning and operating the schedule is simple. Having access to the billing part really helped. Cons All of the updates that makes it freeze. It doesn't allow you to add a new intake appointment for EAP services. It has never given us any trouble and our team as a whole loves it! I have worked with Therapy Notes for 4 years now and it has always been consistent and easy to navigate! Pros Therapy Notes is so easy to use & user friendly! We have never had any trouble teaching a new employee how to schedule, they have always caught on within minutes. Cons Nothing. No complaints at all. The Therapy Notes platform is setup wonderfully. The notes work for my practice and the reminders and to-do list are helpful. The client portal is useful (I don't use all features such as scheduling so don't know about that area). I do my own billing and it is extremely simple through Therapy Notes. Pros TherapyNotes is easy to use as a solo practitioner in private practice. It is affordable and the features offered are extensive for the price. Pros The updated interface was visually appealing and made it easy to navigate. The organization of the system was helpful in maintaining patient records. Cons We often had to customize our own forms and documentation because the software was created with Mental Health therapy in mind and our company provide Speech Therapy. When we added another discipline (Occupational Therapy) to our practice, the billing became very disorganized. It was difficult to keep accounting records of each discipline clear and separate. Pros Therapy Notes is a great all around EHR/EMR/RCM software. It is focused on mental health/therapy and does a great job for the clinician being an easy to use and navigable site. The RCM piece of it is simple and does the job. Cons It would be nice to be able to have more information on claim rejections and how to resolve the issue within the software. I docked one star just due to the frequency of glitches. It does seem to come and go in waves. Pros It is a simple EHR that is easy to navigate and keep notes organized. I like the newer feature of having assessments in the program to use with clients. Pros TherapyNotes provides a quality platform on which to complete patient notes while maintaining HIPAA compliance. It is easy to use and its features feel tailored to a clinician's daily needs, allowing clinicians to spend more time on client support. It has decent value for the money, depending on your practice model and clinic's needs. Cons TherapyNotes didn't end up being the option for me as a provider in solo private practice, as I was able to identify other options which made more sense financially while keeping with reliable HIPAA compliance. That being said, TherapyNotes is a well known platform and very well may be the option for you, depending on your clinic's needs. It wasn't a bad software - just not the one that met my usecase. June 3, 2022 5.0 I absolutely love TherapyNotes as a practice management system for behavioral health. The system was very easy to learn, offers integrated telehealth and billing, billing support if that’s not your forte, options for solo-practitioners and groups, and most importantly in my opinion, the Customer Support Team is STELLAR, with broad times of availability. It’s exactly what I was looking for when I first started my private practice. I highly recommend TherapyNotes to any behavioral health providers in the market for a great, easy-to-use electronic health record system. Pros The Customer Support Team is STELLAR!!!! Reports and data collection is almost non existent. tracking and reporting for missed appointments is extremely difficult, billing secondary insurances is not an easy process, areas for notes and memos are not clean, I wish you could change appointment color based on different things such as checked in or canceled. I think there is space for improvement but for the basic needs everything is there. Pros Therapynotes was great for our team because it provided functions like appointment scheduling and notes for appointments. The program was easy to navigate as well. It also has the ability to do insurance claims and overview of billing. Cons There are areas of the application that could be improved. We did find that some features could not be customized for specialized documenation. The pricing for this is affordable but to have other features you have to pay the upcharge which was inconvienent. A real person, not an chatbot that can only answer concrete questions, no language barriers or "boxed" answers sending you down a rabbit hole. A real person responds quickly with simple and easy to implement instructions on any issue. I am not tech savvy and have never had any problems implementing all aspects of this platform. I have been in healthcare for nearly 40 years and have never seen such a truly wonderful product. Pros I have used TN for 10 years without one single negative experience. The customer service is incredible, fast, through answers to any issue. This was especially appreciated when I opened my private practice and was using TN for the first time. The customer service has remained excellent in my ten years as a customer. Scheduling, EMR, billing and accounting are just so easy, anyone can do it. Cons The only thing I wish they would add is an automatic transfer of discontinued medication into a past med trial section. Pros TherapyNotes has fantastic customer service. You may wait a few minutes to talk to a real person, but they are patient and kind and help you with issues (even those that are due to user error). Also, TherapyNotes has made billing insurance and recording payments SUPER EASY. I don't think I would have continued on my own without this support!!! Cons I wish that TherapyNotes could bill secondary insurance providers and I would like to see more customization in the templates for notes. I used it when I worked in a practice in a fee-share arrangement and didn't even think twice about choosing it for my private practice! Pros I really enjoy the aesthetics of the user interface. However, they kept reaching out to me, offering to help me do that. I also have found that TherapyNotes, unlike other systems, is easily accessible by phone, with minimal wait times. They also have a robust library of "help" articles. Pros TherapyNotes is easy to use, with just the right options to make it ideal for everything from adding a client or clinician to the system, designating who has access to specific clients' records, selective individualized two-factor authentication, dropdown menus, and the ability to incorporate the text of previous notes into one's current note. I also like the ability to be able to easily upload and download documents. Cons The only think that TherapyNotes could do better, in my opinion, is create a subfolder system. All of the uploaded files appear in a column, and one can name the documents anything one wants. However, I would prefer that all of the uploaded documents of a particular type (e.g., assessments, progress notes, other notes) were in separate folders. Review Source KV Kevin V. December 28, 2021 5.0 TherapyNotes has helped me to better organize, schedule, and bill for services related to my practice. It removes the need for a separate billing service as I can submit billing from within the EHR. I can focus more time on client care and building my practice as can be more efficient with the management of my day-to-day tasks. Pros TherapyNotes is easy to use from day one. From its intuitive interface to the ease of scheduling and billing, this EHR is great for the solo practice that wants to manage its own needs or for the group practice that has office staff to manage these tasks. Customer support is fast, friendly, and helpful. Cons The only downside is the lack of ability to create customized forms within the system for clients to fill out and submit electronically. There are a handful of preloaded forms in the Library, but so far there is no way to create my own electronic forms to add to my company library. Will be switching to a different system soon. Pros Great therapy note template. Ease of charging copays to client. Easily pull in intake information, however some of the intake is pyschotherapy based and not medication provider based. Cons Medication provider notes are all free text. The system constantly lags no matter what intenet connection I use or that I clear my internet history and cache daily. Tech support tells me that the lag is me and my connection. Sending prescriptions is a nightmare, the tab to aend prescriptions will disappear and then reappear and then that tab takes 2-3 minutes to load. Then if a prescription does not go through since this does not communicate with therapy notes there is no notification.
