Pros Therapynotes is easy to learn and easy to use, especially for someone of a non-technological generation. I have relied heavily on their customer service and has not been disappointed. Customer service has been extremely patient with me and guides me step by step. They are professional and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Therapynotes mainly because of the customer service I have received, Cons absolutely nothing. I only have good things to say. April 10, 2021 5.0 Pros Setting up TherapyNotes for a small business is easy and intuitive for an average user. Any errors that you might make are easy to diagnose and fix. Customer service is excellent. I use the phone for urgent matters and never wait more than a few minutes. For questions that I can wait for an answer I use the email and sometimes I get a response in 10 minutes but if not, always within a few hours with step by step instructions. Cons At this point TherapyNotes has continued to update their software to remain competitive in the market. Forms are updated and now there is Telehealth. So, no cons so far. The truth is that I have not had a single bad experience with Therapy Notes since I got started. They have been so considerate. They understood that I although I needed a quality method of writing my notes, scheduling and submitting claims, I was also starting out - setting up my practice in a new city; and they took that into consideration in their pricing. Prior to Therapy Notes, I did my notes myself. Can I just say, it was HECTIC and time consuming. Now, note-taking and scheduling as well as submitting claims, are a breeze. Therapy Notes has surely made my work easier - to say the least. Special shout out to team. It’s simply awesome! Very kind, patient and polite, never failed me and I bet she never will. Therapy Notes...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK and HR...keep hiring awesome workers. August 29, 2019 5.0 Pros I have been thoroughly impressed with TherapyNotes. I've used several other EHRs in my time and TherapyNotes is by far the most user-friendly and intuitive. The layout and design is bright and organized. Almost any portion of the process can be integrated: notes, credit card billing, accounting, seamless submission to insurance companies, ERAs, patient portal, and more. The templates for notes are detailed and helpful--I feel extremely prepared if I am ever audited. And the price is very competitive with other EHRs. The customer support experience alone is worth the entire price of the subscription! As a new user, I have reached out several times and always receive a courteous and helpful reply within an hour or two. Purchasing TherapyNotes has made my transition to private practice seamless and stress-free! Cons There's very little to dislike about TherapyNotes. My biggest suggestion for the developers would be to include the ability to create integrated digital documents for clients to fill out within the patient portal. I run a paperless practice and right now I send PDFs or Word documents that the clients fill out, then upload back in. It would be great for clients to have the ability to fill in custom text boxes right in the portal. September 17, 2017 5.0 Moving from a paper system to an electronic record keeping system. Increased efficiency in my record keeping. Pros I can't say enough great things about TherapyNotes, LLC. I am a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice for 10 years. I switched from a paper system to TherapyNotes about two years ago. At first I was worried that the adjustment would be rough on an "old-schooler" like me, but the transition was smooth and I found the platform very user friendly. I love that TherapyNotes integrates my calendar, to-do list, notes and billing - it helps me to keep organized and on top of my practice. The progress note template provided is quick and easy to complete yet thorough. If you're looking to change to an electronic record keeping system, I would highly recommend TherapyNotes, LLC. Cons I honestly like everything about this program. If there was something I had to complain about, it would be that I don't know how to use all the features of this program; specifically the billing features and the client portal. Pros It is easy, quick, there are no mistakes, the support staff gets back to me within an hour and it allows me to send forms, interact with patients and makes my life easier. Cons I wish I could get the "amount owed" on the statement to show on the final line even if the session has not yet occurred. I like to print my paperwork out in the mornings to hand to patients at the end of their session and patients often send me the wrong amount because the final line does not show that day's session. That is good for the environment, but also for your organization. You don't have to search through a stack of paper to see where you ended the session any more. You go to the client's files, and there you have everything. Pros As a psychologist, you cannot miss writing notes about your session. Once the appointment begins, you are reminded to take notes. You can choose different templates to write your notes on. There's a bunch of other features as well, such as billing and keeping records of your clients. Cons It's a bit difficult to get reminders for your session if you don't use the software with all its features (I use TherapyNotes only for note taking, and other softwares for scheduling appointments). I use all of their features except the insurance billing only because I do not except insurance and my business. Otherwise, I like all their features and their customer support system is always on top of it and extremely helpful. I remember when I first signed up with Therapy Notes years ago, they walked me through every step anytime I called and had a question or concern! Pros I was needing some help with their credit card services so I emailed the support team. They replied back in less than 24 hours and were willing to correct what I needed corrected. They said for me to just send them the information and they would take care of it. That saved me so much time! Very helpful! Pros The features are clear, simple and easy to use. Requires no training of staff outside a "walk through" of the softwares capability. Cons Wishing credit cards could be entered, as well as other payments, without giving each clinician access to the entire billing history. Also wish the excel spreadsheet could list the client's PCP for quick reference. This would allow interdisciplinary meetings to proceed with no paper tracking, and improve regular reporting to the Primary Care. In here we could find anything and everything we need. I highly recommend it! The clinician and I both have accounts and we can see what the other has done. Cons I wish I could bill electronically for secondary insurance. That would make it about perfect.
