You can tell that the developers really understand the world of psychology and the needs of pyschologists and therapists. Regarding Internet, simply have a smartphone handy to get on the Internet in case you have an outage. If you use the hotspot feature you can even connect your other devices. You can export all of your notes for a particular patient by clicking "Download Multiple", but you're right there's no site-wide way to do it yet. Cons I don’t like having to put in the treatment plans before I can bill for that patient . Makes sense for new patients, but not for patients I’ve been treating for a while. It was easy to learn and has significantly decreased the amount of time I spend creating patient intakes, treatment plans and progress notes. The billing and patient information functionality is also easy to use. I would like to see more patient financial report options. It would also be helpful to have a customizable data base library that contains/retains treatment objectives and goals used for previous patients. Overall, the TN team has been very responsive to questions and recommendations. Pros I was unable to find an affordable way to submit my billing to FL medicare electronically. I used to submit paper documentation and my billing was always being denied. I needed to find a software that would help me to recoup the thousand of dollars that I was owed. Within two weeks of using the software I have been paid for all my services. I have been using and have felt like it covers most of my needs. Support has been exceptional and use is simple. Most of my clients are not insurance based but keeping track of clients is simple and covers almost everything. Cost is reasonable. Pros I love the ease of use of the system! I was able to just jump right in to start using it with ease!!!! Cons I like the lack of some permanency name changes. It is easy to use and intuitive. Having all the major pieces of my bookkeeping (scheduling, notes, and billing) all linked and easy to access has saved me time. 2. Customer service is top-notch. I always feel my issues have been answered quickly and effectively. I have not come across a problem they couldn't solve! April 4, 2017 5.0 I have been using TherapyNotes in my private practice for a few months now after doing a trial run with a few other EHR systems and liking TherapyNotes the best. The system was easy to learn and is easy to interact with. I have never had trouble doing what I need to do, but there are also lots of helpful tutorials available if needed. The system operates smoothly and has never glitched or frozen on me. The one time that I called customer service with a question, I received friendly, helpful assistance. TherapyNotes costs more than some EHR systems, but I believe that it is worth the price to have something that works well, is reliable, and doesn't cause me stress. Review Source MC Mary C. Used the software for: ### "TherapyNotes makes all of it easier" April 11, 2017 5.0 After 20+ years using a paper calendar and Intuit, my colleagues and I switched to using TherapyNotes only. The system is pretty intuitive and I only qualify that as "pretty intuitive" because they keep making improvements. It is secure and easy to manage from an Administrator point of view. I have access by computer and by smartphone -- I will see changes to my schedule without any phonecalls. I am mostly private pay but plan to use TherapyNotes for a few insurance clients so I can stop the expense of paying an outside billing person. We were so happy to find Therapy Notes and it has made our life so much easier. We have a three person team and all of us love Therapy Notes. It is easy to learn, easy to adapt to, easy to apply to our office team that we wouldn't think of going anywhere else for our needs. Their service team is easy to get in touch with and responds quickly to our service questions. If you are thinking of using electronic notes or billing, you have to consider Therapy Notes! Counsellor Mental Health Care Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Customer support excellence" October 4, 2018 4.0 Pros This is a relatively simple program to use, however has features that can be utilised as your practice grows. Their customer service is excellent. I had a personal call from a member of the sales support team who spoke to me about my experiences with the product which I appreciated. Cons The product is only set up for folks in the United States. This is frustrating as the address fields and telephone numbers will not accept an international address. Also, the time zone is an issue when date stamping notes/correspondence. To compensate for this, customer service extended the free trial to one year for me as an international customer which I thought was excellent. Review Source SL Shoshana L.
