We are very happy with this software. Pros It's easy to customize and drive this program. Our consumers may access data from their mobile gadgets or any location with internet access. Tables and graphs are intuitively laid out for users. The drag-and-drop component makes it simple to assemble visualizations. Cons The execution and customer service have been a disaster. We used two separate advisors for the deployment but never used the solutions they suggested. Also, the PDP feature allows us to ensure we are only giving access to the authorized users and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy. Pros I like it because it is really advanced when it comes to Business Intelligence and visual insights. It helps me in quick and impactful decision-making through the metrics I can build on a dashboard and integrate with ERP & SaaS products for my company. Cons The data refresh is still i believe not fully there yet. on the daily refreshes, sometimes it forgets to refresh data and then I'd have to wait for a day again to have it update live data. Even though, it is a rare instance, I'd love if this was fixed permanently. I believe their suit of tools is best suited for medium to large businesses. It’s not just about visualization of KPIs and other data. You can take the data and turn it into actionable steps. Furthermore, the existing integrations that are available makes it easy to have all our data available in Domo and combine them. You can still see the start-up mentality and the new features and the speed that they deliver new features and product improvements is amazing. For us Domo is so much more than just about data - we have it part of our product development process and have a lot of operational processes built on data transformations that we built in Domo. Cons DOMO is very costly compared to other BI tools, especially when you want to have separate user accounts for each user and do not share accounts among users. Thanks to its fantastic omni-channel capabilities, we've been able to use it for everything from pinpointing issues in production to measuring the effect of our ads. It's very versatile and has tons of additional features like mobile apps that make our jobs easier. I think implementing Domo has definitely been a great success for us. Pros 1\. It has very impressive performance and uptime. We rarely run into any issues or bugs when using it, and the real-time features work smoothly2. The interface looks great and is very suitable for users with little background in data tools. That was very important for us as several departments are using it at the moment and everyone was able to get the hang of it despite some not being 100% proficient with tools like it. Cons It's not as well known as some of the other data management tools out there, so there isn't much of a community behind it. Domo has proven to have better support, UI, user adoption, ETL functionality, and connectors. Pros Domo has proven to be more efficient to build dashboards, while being easy to use to bring non-BI users into the fold. I have been amazed by how quickly new users become comfortable and productive using the tools. We leverage a stable of the connectors to further drive our strategy from multiple operational platforms. They have APIs for pushing and pulling data as well as for user and data permissions. Pros I like that it's an off-premise solution so we don't have to build and support a data warehouse. Cons Customer support isn't very good. The helpdesk is virtually useless and they are always trying to push their premium support option for $5K/year when we complain.It's important to get a good Customer Success Manager. We have a really good one now, our 4th, and they are very helpful in getting support issues reviewed and looked at. Working with various data sources, scheduling pipeline updates and reports, setting up alerts, and managing data lineage is easy. Cons Writing and debugging SQL code in ETL pipelines is complicated and long process. Cards are not very responsive to resizing. DOMO has similar to Tableau LOD calculations, but they are not as flexible as DAX. Pros Every function is quite simple to use, but if you don't know how to utilise it, they provide fantastic knowledge-based publications. Domo enables us to create really well-designed dashboards that present data from numerous sources fast and effortlessly. When it comes to analytical skills, it is also a potent tool with an excellent report generator. Increases visibility into performance. It provides several chart kinds that are categorised based on the requirements. The best thing is that it generates an auto chart utilising multiple dimensions and measurements. Cons When an issue happens on the SQL side, I notice it, but I'd need additional information about it. Sometimes a single statement isn't enough to explain what's wrong with the SQL. The colours are terrible, and the graphs and other elements aren't as easy to use as Power BI or other tools. Cons It is somewhat "hard" to know how to create beast modes if you are not an expert in the system. However, you can always learn it by taking the Domo University courses that are available inside the system. Reason for choosing Domo It has the best functionalities that we where looking for. I've always had the best interactions when contacting them for help, or working with them in training or onboarding. The dashboards are really nice once you've got them setup, and it's easy to log in and view the data in the program. Mobile works pretty great too. I also really like the workbench that allows you to setup recurring uploads. Cons I took a weeklong training at Domo a couple years ago, and I still struggle to keep up with calculations inside the cards. I think their language could be easier to use. Cons Limitations with connectors and datasets, lacking an easy out of the box options to create incremental data loads into domo. the datasets loading can be super slow and take many hours, with no solution given by the tool or by the support agents. lots of bugs with loading data, processes suddenly stop working for no reason. too often domo can load very slow so its impossible to use. support is very bad most of the time. Pros I am a consumer of Domo visualizations, and also have built quite a few of them. My previous experience was with Tableau, but I was able to step into Domo fairly easily. They have good documentation, and I was able to figure out how to present data the way I wanted without too much headache. I really like Domo's tools for arranging a dashboard. Cons The average user is not going to be able to create their own visualizations. It allows our small team to be able to make decisions and perform at a level that that far surpasses even that of mid to large size organizations. Domo is a powerhouse in the realm of data manipulation and analysis and I can't imagine being without it! Pros Everything that allows us to import or connect to data and perform data analysis. The graphs, charts and filtering tools are amazing, and the new (beta) feature to save filter sets has been an incredible time-saver, as well as giving us greater insight into different views of our data so that we are then able to take a wider range of actions and not miss some information that would've otherwise not been visible or buried within other information. Cons How much screen real estate is occupied by various things, leaving only a small amount of space for previewing cards. Going into full-screen has it's own limitations, so perhaps a "Theater Mode" view that minimizes unnecessary information to allow a larger view of the core content. I also do not like that its not possible to scroll left and right within card previews, requiring them to be opened to be able to do so. Finally, performance can sometimes be an issue, but I think that's more related to the enormity of data we are processing at any given moment more so than an issue with the product or the hosting servers.
