July 18, 2025 5.0 It's so easy to use, it's really powerful, and it can really make a difference to an organization that is looking to better utilize it's data. On the other hand, it can really get expensive if you don't put in the effort to govern your costs. Domo needs to improve its consumption controls. Pros It's one of the most robust and user-friendly data and BI platforms. I can connect to any number of systems, transform data, and visualize it literally within minutes. Cons Domo's new consumption pricing model solves the problem of paying for numerous extra features, and it brings a lot of flexibility to allow customers to control their costs. However, because Domo is so user-friendly, it's really difficult to keep the costs from spiraling out of control because of the "democritization" of data. Review Source JL Jaclyn L. February 28, 2025 5.0 Over the past year of learning and navigating this system at work I have found data retrieval to be so much easier than before, and extremely more organized. I cannot express how much I appreciate this program. Pros DOMO is a phenomenal program that makes capturing data for the entire company organized and easy to evaluate! We previously used a different operating system and this one is a million times better. It is so easy to navigate and easy to pull the needed reports! Cons I think the "Buzz" section that takes up the entire right side of the screen should have a toggle bar to make that section smaller. In the capacity I use this system I don't typically use the Buzz section so it would be nice if I should hide that section and view more of the screen I actually need. Review Source Jeremy V. Very well organized one you find what you are looking for. Pros Domo allows me to look at all the critical finical information that is needed to track the daily-monthly and yearly revenue that is frequently looked at in our company. The dashboards are clean and interactive and was fairly easy to learn. Cons While basic dashboards are easy, the advanced features and integrations can take time to master. Cons I don't like how much the cost can add up and how much time it takes to set up everything the way you want it to. More user friendly to those who may not have any coding/programming experience, but still allows those with technical ability to get the most out of the platform. Pros Does not require any technical skills with their no-code Magic ETL dataflows which is super helpful for scaling a BI team. We are still on a fixed payment term, which has been extended for a few years which is great. Tons of pre-built connectors for Shopify and paid advertising platforms. Cons New pricing update based off token usage will be troubling. Not sure how we would be able to test new dataset builds when we are being charged for each run/update of a dataset. Also, the PDP feature allows us to ensure we are only giving access to the authorized users and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy. Pros I like it because it is really advanced when it comes to Business Intelligence and visual insights. It helps me in quick and impactful decision-making through the metrics I can build on a dashboard and integrate with ERP & SaaS products for my company. Cons The data refresh is still i believe not fully there yet. on the daily refreshes, sometimes it forgets to refresh data and then I'd have to wait for a day again to have it update live data. Even though, it is a rare instance, I'd love if this was fixed permanently. The graphical programming tool (ETL) is another advantage for code-less development. The visualizations and dashboards are great for our business intelligence activities. Pros Domo provides all of the essential functions of other products including data connectors, data visualization, data ingestion and exports, as well as dashboard creation. Domo does have a learning curve to learn the difference in how the back end functions are different, but anyone with previous experience should be able to pick it up. Cons At times Domo can be slower than other products, and does sometimes crash when ingesting large amounts of data. Domo has proven to have better support, UI, user adoption, ETL functionality, and connectors. Pros Domo has proven to be more efficient to build dashboards, while being easy to use to bring non-BI users into the fold. I have been amazed by how quickly new users become comfortable and productive using the tools. We leverage a stable of the connectors to further drive our strategy from multiple operational platforms. You are aware that not every data can be seen in an excel sheet. It eliminates the need to manually pull and enter all of our data, which is time-consuming. It also allows us to visualise and alter our data in ways that were previously impossible. It offers just remarkable analytical capabilities that have helped us to better leverage all of the organization's data to make choices, particularly commercial and financial ones. Pros Every function is quite simple to use, but if you don't know how to utilise it, they provide fantastic knowledge-based publications. Domo enables us to create really well-designed dashboards that present data from numerous sources fast and effortlessly. When it comes to analytical skills, it is also a potent tool with an excellent report generator. Increases visibility into performance. It provides several chart kinds that are categorised based on the requirements. The best thing is that it generates an auto chart utilising multiple dimensions and measurements. Cons When an issue happens on the SQL side, I notice it, but I'd need additional information about it. Sometimes a single statement isn't enough to explain what's wrong with the SQL. Thanks to its fantastic omni-channel capabilities, we've been able to use it for everything from pinpointing issues in production to measuring the effect of our ads. It's very versatile and has tons of additional features like mobile apps that make our jobs easier. I think implementing Domo has definitely been a great success for us. Pros 1\. It has very impressive performance and uptime. We rarely run into any issues or bugs when using it, and the real-time features work smoothly2. The interface looks great and is very suitable for users with little background in data tools. That was very important for us as several departments are using it at the moment and everyone was able to get the hang of it despite some not being 100% proficient with tools like it. Cons It's not as well known as some of the other data management tools out there, so there isn't much of a community behind it. November 30, 2022 4.0 Pros Before being introduced to DOMO, most of our data analysis had to be carried out in Microsoft Excel, which isn't ideal when dealing with large and ever-changing datasets. We were using multiple systems and it was often difficult to get a good overall picture for reports. DOMO allows us to connect to all of our various systems, including our CRM, our email marketing software, website analytics and the various demand gen channels we use for advertising campaigns, allowing us to report and analyse the performance of our marketing activity end-to-end, from the first contact with the customer to the end result of the sales process. We have also been able to utilise DOMO to help us with reporting in other areas, such as customer survey results and monitoring the usage of our CRM, and create useful data visualisations that can be shared with the business users.The software is user-friendly and it's easy to start using straight away, although the more complicated functionality can of course take some getting used to, but overall, it has a nice UI and is pleasant to work with. Cons We do sometimes have difficulty with our CRM datasets due to problems with the data connector, and we recently discovered that our existing datasets will need to be recreated using a different version of the connector now, which isn't ideal. Sometimes the error messages aren't very helpful when a dataset update fails, and you then need to seek help from support to identify what is actually going on, which can cause delays in getting the problem resolved.
