Pros What I really like is that the product is designed with a CFO mindset. It is especially useful when you have multiple subsidiaries or as an investment firm if you have a big portfolio. Especially the financial portfolio overview is very relevant for private equity firms. Cons To be honest the look and feel is not on par with some of the more recent fintech startups, but that's it. Pros Lucanet is a user friendly consolidation and reporting tool. The icons on the top of the screen are giving a user the possibility to present the figures in the way you want. Data can be easily imported (via Excel/interface) and data can be exported out of Lucanet directly (export icon), via Lucanet value formula or via templates. There are predefined overviews, but you can also prepare overviews (for example a internal reporting P&L) yourself. In Lucanet different data levels can be used to make comparisons between for example actual and budget figures. Adjustment levels can be used to make a distinction for example between the source figures and annual report figures.To collect the figures from the companies, the data collection tool Group report can be used. This tool is a pre defined environment where figures need to be reported and where rules related to the figures can be defined. Furthermore on group level a dashboard is available to see the status of the local reporting figures. Cons Lucanet has the possibility to forecast/budget Balance Sheet positions based on accounting rules, but this is a bit difficult to understand how this exactly works especially taking into account the development of the closing balance of the actuals in the forecast. I strongly suggest this tool to companies with multiple legal entities. Pros Lucanet is an excellent tool for financial reporting requirements. Its chart of accounts, general ledgers, budget, forecast and variance analysis capabilities are very good. Users require very little training before using the program. The data can be exported and dashboards can be created by external tools such as Microsoft Excel. Cons The front end of Lucanet is simple but a better GUI view could have been prepared. The data quality relies on the source ERP systems therefore the mapping between accounts should be well prepared. Review Source MP Mark P. The budgeting process is not market leading, but it does not need to be - creating long term financial forecasts is easy in LucaNet, and they are better than the Excel models used by many businesses. We also use it for consolidation of the budgets. It is very easy to upload the budget template by each subsidiary and have consolidated budget with one click. It is very useful to have a comparison at budgetary rates and actual rates. Cons Still some problems exist that description of the booking is incorrect and for some unknown reason Lucanet takes from a different field. Cons Während unserer mittlerweile 11-jähringen Nutzung hat die Qualität des fachlichen Support abgenommen, sodass immer öfter auf den Fachberater/Betreuer/Consultant zurückgegriffen werden muss, dessen Leistung zusätzlich zur Wartungsgebühr kostenpflichtig ist.
