I migrated from older Statview and Systat, a great move. Pros One feature I like very much about XLSTAT is that it is an excel add-in and works very well with several of Excel´s features. The software is very poweful, does all of the analyses an ecologist and animal behaviorist would need. Specially, since it can integrate R scripts. This flexibility is probably its greatest feature. It is also easy to use with a great user-interface. Cons The standard graphs could be more flexible and maleable, but I guess that is the function of Sigmaplot. September 4, 2024 5.0 The xlstat is perfect for evaluation date for sensoric analysis, discrimination analysis and also for basic statistical thest. The evaluation of the spectral data is not so perfect but for excel aplication works also well. Pros The xlstat is the best statistic software works directly with data in excel work. Cons The week part is data preparation. There are some methods for reordering data, or adding missing values, but it not works in some times. I always identify these bugs and report them to Addinsoft. They always contact me the next day and fix these bugs as fast as they can. It is designed for those who has no much stat background but allow them to interpret the results confidently. August 30, 2019 4.0 Having to manually do certain tasks. With XLSTAT the computer does the job so easily. So far the experience has been awesome!! Pros The fact that it allows me to customize my excel functions. It allows me to add add-ins that make data handling very much easier. For example i have managed to put in an add in that allows me to merge given excel files without having to individually copy and paste. Once i have my add in added to the xlstat folder i can just click and achieve my stack in one go. Then also i have managed to include another add in that is very useful for classification of my data after i have run my analysis. Simply by just copying the addin into the XLSTAT folder. I like the software and would recommend it if you don't code and want a relatively simple and inexpensive Excel-based solution. Pros I appreciate having access to a number of basic and advanced analytical methods for business analytics. If you don't code, having an easy-to-use Excel-based tool allows you to both analyze and interpret your data. Cons It can be temperamental. If not used in a very particular sequence, the software can freeze and either need to be restarted or unlocked by pressing the F5 key. The software is also limited by high-dimensional data.
