### "Highly robust CMS"

July 13, 2022

4.0

Pros

I have been a Drupal fan for years. Drupal is an open source CMS that has been around for a long time. It is very popular in the web industry for its flexibility and robustness along with the community that supports the software. The software is very well-known for being highly customizable and it is constantly evolving. It allows you to create any kind of website you want, and you can even create one with unique functionality that is not available with other platforms. The community surrounding Drupal is also very strong.

Cons

Drupal is a very powerful and flexible platform. However, it can be difficult to get started in Drupal if you are not familiar with its many nuances. If you are not a web developer, then you might want to hire a developer or a Drupal agency.

Drupal provides flexible and powerful solutions for your ecommerce business. You can secure your users. The interface is really easy to use, so even beginners can also create a website.

Cons

Drupal is great for marketers, developers and agencies. Even individuals can create and design the portfolio sites without any kind of cons. You will never face any issue in Drupal.

### "Una alternativa muy interesante"

January 9, 2023

5.0

Pros

### "Most secured open source CMS in town"

August 26, 2022

4.0

No words to say it is up to my level of understanding. Good software

Pros

I like it because of the highly secured and solid performance it gives to the user. Easy to use dashboard is the key to its popularity.

Cons

I am little uncomfortable with drupal just because i was little confused and find little hard to learn its overall flexibility for the firsttime i use it. After knowing its capabilities i found it is the best.

### "I wanted to love Drupal, but it wasn't a good fit for my nonprofit's needs"

December 14, 2017

5.0

Pros

Drupal is a powerful web developing platform with a large, global community of people and companies using it, developing for it and improving it. It's used to build websites that you probably consult every day. It's flexible and scalable.

Cons

The negative flipside of Drupal's power and flexibility is that it is still many steps behind Wordpress in terms of ease of use and value for money. My nonprofit sunk thousands of dollars into a Drupal site that didn't do everything we wanted it to do and which we ultimately could no longer afford to maintain given the high fees charged by Drupal developers who are in great demand. That's not to say that Drupal won't meet your needs. My advice is simply that you do your homework before going the Drupal route including an assessment of the staff and financial resources you have to maintain/upgrade the site once it has been built.

### "Very powerful CMS with steep learning curve"

September 9, 2019

4.0

My first encounter with Drupal was some time ago, and I immediately noticed this CMS was not very easy. While with such CMSs as Joomla I was able to setup and run a simple website in a matter of minutes, Drupal required much more effort. Then recently I participated in a project when we were moving a client from custom-built CMS to Drupal. During this project I felt the power of Drupal and its plugins. The client had a pretty complex website, but still we were able to configure everything they needed. However, as not all of the team was familiar with Drupal, we had to learn on the fly, and that was not easy. Drupal admin panel leaves much to be more intuitive and friendly. You may look for some item in the category you believe it logically belongs to, while it is located in the other place. But when you get used to it, it works fine. So if you need a complex website and are not afraid to learn something new, definitely try Drupal.

Pros

\* Very powerful CMS with lots of features \* Tons of plugins (lots of them are free) that will make your website even more powerful

Cons

\* Pretty steep learning curve - you won't be able to setup Drupal and start using it immediately. You'll have to spend some time educating yourself. \* Not very intuitive admin panel, you'll have to get acquainted to it before you'll be able to use all the power of Drupal

### "Complex but amazingly powerful content management system"

January 24, 2018

4.0

We rely on drupal to run our websites.

Pros

Drupal is not the solution you go to if you want to quickly put out a simple website. It IS the solution you want if you need a website that will scale, if you need robust features, if you care about security, and if you don't really mind getting your hands a little dirty. A lot of things are really more complicated than they need to be compared to Wordpress, but unlike Wordpress, you can accomplish so much more with Drupal with the right modules and a little customization know-how.

Cons

Complexity. If you're just starting out with Drupal, you can easily find yourself using 5 modules to do something one module can do, which leads to a more bloated install as you add more features to your site. Knowing how to keep the site lean has performance and security advantages because you don't have to have so many modules to keep in line and updated.

### "A CMS for Coders"

December 4, 2019

4.0

Worked in agencies that chose to build on drupal and all I saw was linitations, endless bills to the client and a platform that was not agile, responsive or up to date with modern web standards.

Pros

The ability to build in house native software applications with a CMS is incredibly attractive and drupal makes it possible.

Cons

Nodes, taxonomy, I could go on. The language used is intriniscally made for coders, which makes it an incredibly difficult website platform to train people on especially clients.

### "Best web-site builder that I've used"

June 9, 2020

5.0

Really easy to use and has nice user friendly design.

Pros

This tool is amazing if you want to create a web-site but you don't have strong programming skills. It has many options, configurations that help to create the web-site that you want to create, also it helps to manage your site Admin dashboard where you can do any manipulation due to your site.

Cons

there are no cons, I think it is the best site constructor that help to save time, dont require strong technical skills and create good quality web site.

### "Feature rich CMS"

July 31, 2018

5.0

Pros

The feature rich CMS which gives flexibility to develope web apps. It is purposely used for the websites demanding custom content types and workflows. It gives functionality to create custom workflow rules for content management requirements. We can develop creative websites using it that too in very short time span. It provides the versatility giving features that we can use to develop any web app like, normal website, portals, e-commerce site, anything.

Cons

If you are first time user, it will be really very difficult for you to deal with it. Drupal is having comparatively complex structure for admin side. It gives many features, but again you have to be familiar with it before using it for web development. The simple update module task can become difficult if you are really new to it.

### "A serious and well supported alternative to Wordpress as a Content Management System"

February 20, 2023

4.0

Drupal has been useful in my day by day work, when I needed to work with complex websites hosting a great amount of data. In this scenario, it is a valuable solution.

Pros

Drupal is an advanced Content Management System with almost 20 years of history. The content type management offers a better experience than Wordpress' custom fields, the user roles system is very advanced and multilingual is supported at the core, without the need to install external plugins.

Cons

Drupal is not as widely used as Wordpress, hence you will not find the same variety of plugins or documentation. The steep learning curve to become efficient in developing complex solutions with Drupal can be hard. The thing I like less in Drupal is its user interface (admin panel) which is really messy and based on the (wrong, in my opinion) concept that a CMS should be able to visualize the content like the frontend does.

Reason for choosing Drupal

We chose to go with Drupal based on the amount of data to be rendered and the performance.

### "The great CMS"

July 21, 2021

It was extremely challenging to begin with the item yet I discover the adaptability more than compensating as I see a limitless roof in creating with the item.

Pros

The adaptability this gives to keep growing a site makes it precious. The people group around the undertaking is stunning and has given magnificent modules to get a site going without any problem.

Cons

One being zero ability to see on the guide of the item that settles on it hard to take speculation choices and second is absence of client assistance in a hurry.

### "The most powerful CMS + Website builder "

July 27, 2019

4.0

Pros

100% free and opensource! You can use Drupal to code and design your website, CMS or eCommerce website. The platform is quite powerful and secure (the White House uses Drupal for their website!). For developers, Drupal is quite organised in the way it manages its code, and as with many modern coding platforms, codes can be reused and recycled. Drupal being open-source allows you to find many solutions for issues you face through the community. And Drupal community continues to grow daily.

Cons

Drupal has a steep learning curve, so if you are looking to setup a simple blog or CMS, I advise you to check Wordpress or Joomla.

### "A Better Value Than WordPress"

December 14, 2018

5.0

Drupal can be used as a standard website or in a "headless" mode to provide data to other sources.

Pros

The community support for this product is incredible. There are no licensing fees and the number of modules available to accomplish tasks is very good. Updates are all found in one location. Unlike WordPress there are no separate licenses for each plug-in, each having their own upgrade path.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep but once you have invested your time, this tool becomes a blank canvas.

### "Drupal is the most secure and feature-rich CMS on the market. We love Drupal!"

May 8, 2018

5.0

I always recommend those that are serious about creating websites that scale build on Drupal.

Pros

With a world-wide collective of active developers, Drupal is the developer's dream. There are a variety of installation profiles to give you a head start. Unlike Wordpress 99% of amazing modules are FREE. Companies like Sony and the White House use Drupal. If you can dream it you can do it in Drupal. The open-source community is helpful and always contributing new models. Because it is database driven you can create complex data sets that can connect with your current tools. When we build sites that need to scale we use Drupal. Great CDN module that works with Amazon AWS for super fast load time. Drupal allows you to build Enterprise level sites without custom code.

Cons

The only con to Drupal is the steep learning curve. It takes some time to become an expert. It is also helpful to find a host that understands Drupal or get some help. A server tweaked for Drupal is the best way to go and not always easy to find. If you know what you are doing you will have no issues.

Cons

multisite creation requires vast knowledge and good professional experience Not good online support available It lacks scalability and efficiency

### "My preferred website builder"

September 25, 2018

5.0

We built our second iteration of our website with Drupal, after being on Wordpress. I've since worked with the latest Wordpress again and I really prefer Drupal. I recommend it for any new clients and try to take its free lessons online regularly so I'm always current on new features. I feel also that Drupal is superior in security.

Pros

THe flexibility of Drupal while it is still user-friendly wins every time. Other sitebuilders like WP and Webflow are extremely feature rich, but harder to use day-to-day. Simpler builders like Wix and Squarespace are great for newbies, but not as flexible. Drupal floats that line so anyone can use it but experts can make so much more of it. And it's free!

Cons

Image sizing did kind of limit us with our blogs - there were strict requirements on aspect ratio that I didn't find very helpful. However, that may have since been resolved or a limitation we placed on ourselves for consistency.

### "Best CMS solution"

October 16, 2021

5.0

As much as the ease was for us to host our website, there is little scope for us to move on to the higher upgraded version of Drupal.

Pros

An easy and affordable CMS that can help build websites and ease of maintenance and upgradation

Cons

There is not much support on certain modules beyond Drupal 8 which has made us keep our website running on Drupal 8. The higher versions do not help customized or migrate to those versions and lesser support for them.

### "Drupal more then just websites"

March 26, 2019

5.0

I have been using drupal since drupal 6 where I helped manage qualcomm.com I still use drupal today but for a much more decoupled experience with a angular front end and rest powered backend. It has been great working with drupal and seeing it improve and where it is going.

Pros

Great community support, frequent updates.

Cons

Open issues in forums for community modules that are years and years old. Sometimes there is a very critical patch required that sites get hacked if they are not all up to date all the time.

July 2, 2018

4.0

Shorter development time and more products to offer to my customers.

Pros

Very flexible. You can do almost anything with Drupal. The possibilities are endless. The community is vibrant and the security one of the best. With the latest version performance and other features are greatly improve.

Cons

Complexity, lack of proper documentation. The developer community it is very helpful but can't be a little hostile to non developers or less advanced users.
