### "Another Open Source CMS"

May 29, 2018

3.0

Pros

Drupal is another Open Source CMS. It does about the same job of organizing content as WordPress. A lot of the features are the same as other open source CMS available. Drupal used to be more robust than WordPress and still handles projects with large amounts of content better. It has a lot of modules available but less themes. The community is a little smaller that supports it but it is still large enough that it will not be going anywhere in the near future. Even though Drupal is built on PHP it is supposed to be more secure than WordPress making it a better platform is security is important to you.

Cons

It has less templates, modules (Plugins) and a smaller community than WordPress. If you are going to use the platform having some development skills is important.

### "Drupal is not ideal for websites that update content minute-by-minute"

September 16, 2022

3.0

While Drupal was good at first, the continual upgrades often rendered our site unstable and it ceased to be cost-effective to keep up with upgrades .

Pros

Initially, Drupal operated well and suited our needs.

Cons

Limited formatting options, image library significantly slower as the library grew, and updates were cost prohibitive.

### "Pretty decent and more than a CMS"

March 21, 2021

4.0

Drupal is a notable, free, and open-source content administration framework that is equipped towards complete site planning with its adaptability because of its core information base and PHP structure

Pros

The most effective element of Drupal is that the product is open source. In addition, its security is really high compared to other CMS. I like that Drupal proposes a variety of modules like video, participation, business.

Cons

Once you build the website, there is not much you can do to change the layout as it is fixed. It limits your creativity and can be frustrating. And it is a little bit harder to learn to use this software compared to other CMS. I wonder if they could make the admin panel more modern.

### "The platform requires minimal configuration"

March 1, 2020

5.0

Pros

CMS Drupal is probably the only engine that does not require complex configuration. All SEO parameters are normally configured even in the boxed version. Another big plus is that the kit comes with several good modules for expanding functionality.

Cons

The editor limits the layout options. The graphical interface uses the DS + FG body kit, so most of the elements can not simply be transferred from the layout to the web page. I need to know html well, without this, it is better not to work with Drupal.

### "Drupal one of the best open source platforms out there"

December 19, 2020

5.0

The flexibility of the platform makes it a perfect choice for all who want a feature rich, secure and powerfull platform.

Pros

Drupal is highly customizable and because of that you can do what you want and need. Lots of modules are already developed and ready to be used with some little adjustments.

Cons

The navigationals structure looks difficult at first, but when you are used to it it’s perfect. Ofcourse there are better vendors most of them not open source that provide a better experience.

### "In general a good experience and a great community."

May 15, 2018

4.0

It is one of the CMS that I use the most in my work. It is simply great.

Pros

In my opinion Drupal is a great CMS, with an infinite number of options to develop. You could say that whatever you want to add to your site is available and if you can not, you can develop it with the advice of the community.

Cons

Although in Drupal there are a large number of templates and modules with which to develop, a basic knowledge of styles is required in order to obtain the expected result. It is advisable to document to use Drupal.

### "Mainly Recommending for complex CMS projects"

August 30, 2019

4.0

Drupal is much useful when you working as a team with technical expertise. Not recommending small scale projects.

Pros

1.) Even though the advanced features are provided, it is giving for free. 2.) The best option for advanced web site creation. 3.) Flexibility comes as a result of its advanced features.

Cons

1.) Too much developer-centric which can lead to highly sophisticated websites. 2.) Not good for beginner to CMS. 3.) Installing Drupal requires a technical background.

### "A CMS that is open source and has great tools!"

February 21, 2023

5.0

I've been working for a while and occasionally give up on some tasks or choose for a different tool. It requires time and commitment, thus it is definitely not a technology for individuals who are pressed for time. The more recent versions of Drupal enable the creation of many cool things and are friendlier and more intuitive.

Pros

It is an open-source architecture. There are many different themes, colours, and ways to work with texts and graphics. Simple to use.

Cons

The frequency of security and new release notifications makes them a headache. The ability to construct PHP modules for them is a great plus, but occasionally integrating them might be tricky because of the version the developer is working on.

### "Most powerful open source CMS"

November 17, 2017

5.0

I've been building website with Drupal for about 8 years and it allowed me to deliver websites that I would not have been able to code from scratch.

Pros

You can build almost anything with Drupal. The flexibility and scalability of it outperforms other well known CMS solutions such as WordPress. The quality control in place for submitted modules (aka plug-ins in WP) and themes means that you don't have worry about hidden malicious code. The Drupal community give so much and ask for so little in return.

Cons

The out-of-the-box UI isn't as user friendly as WordPress and it isn't as quick and easy to setup as WP. There isn't as much variety of modules and themes available for Drupal as compared to WP. Becoming a Drupal developer means you will have a larger learning curve BUT you'll also have a far more powerful "tool-belt" at the end of the day.

### "This is what they use for the white house!"

March 31, 2018

4.0

Pros

Well, when you have the white house website being designed with Drupal, that tells you something. If it is good enough for Trump, it is good enough for the rest of us! High functionality and ability to customize everything. And the price is perfect!

Cons

A bit more confusing that other products in the same space. There is a reason why everyone uses word press and not drupal. But that doesn't mean that it isn't a solid product. Just a higher learning curve.

### "Difficult but powerful CMS"

December 23, 2019

5.0

Pros

I work with CMS Drupal almost every day. It's great that the toolbar can be changed to my own requirements. For example, remove an unnecessary tool and add the one that I often use.

Cons

CMS Drupal is definitely not for beginners. I have more than 5 years of experience working with sites, but it was still hard to figure out the first time. But if you have been developing websites for a long time and are looking for a good CMS, then Drupal will suit you.

### "Perfect to create what comes to mind"

December 24, 2018

5.0

It is a perfect option for large companies that want something modern and reach people quickly, that is, you always have to have a good hosting service and be 100% compatible with Drupal so there are no problems, the truth is that every time I have had to work with this CMS has been a perfect experience and without complaints.

Pros

It fascinates me, with those two words I describe how much I like it. I really like that with Drupal you can do anything that you can think of from corporate websites to trading platforms, it is the safest system that exists in the market and the truth is that this is a very important topic for me, because nowadays the information on the internet every time is more committed. And finally I love the ability to take advantage of SEO, it's amazing.

Cons

The truth is that I do not have a single complaint for this tool, I love everything about it from the interface to its effectiveness, and the truth is that it is perfect when you want a quality product.

### "A Mostly User-Friendly Web Editor Platform (Your Experience Will Vary)"

March 4, 2021

4.0

Drupal has been a strong platform so far. We expect that our experience will continue to improve over time, so I can't wait to see where it takes us.

Pros

Our organization moved to Drupal for our website a year and a half ago. The initial reception of the website was so-so, but that has more to do with how our organization decided to set things up... The good news is that Drupal is, for the most part, a straight-forward, user-friendly platform. In my time building out content, I've found it to be pretty intuitive and easy to understand. I also understand that Drupal is an open-source platform, meaning that it will continue to develop and get better over time.

Cons

Some components of the webpage content can be tricky to move around, especially when shifting the order of content on a page. Site structure is also not always the most obvious, but that may also be the way our organization set things up. A lot has to do with how your tech team sets things up from the start.

### "A secure and powerful CMS"

January 5, 2021

4.0

Without a doubt, one of my favorite CMS and overall I had very good experience with it.

Pros

Most badass CMS I have ever come across when it comes down to security features. You wouldn't expect any less when you have a dedicated security team!

Cons

There are not too many third party themes/plugins available yet for Drupal. Though it is not a big deal if you are a developer yourself.

### "Powerful CMS with decent security features."

July 25, 2018

5.0

Pros

Made by geeks so the backend has been thought through and very scalable. Security wise a lot better than wordpress and the open source concentric community makes modules / plugins easier to maintain as there's not just one company devloping / supporting them.

Cons

Is difficult to learn initially (if not a coding background). However drupal 8 has got a lot more front end friendly, looks prettier and is getting easier to implement.

### "One of the best CMS out there"

January 19, 2018

4.0

Development of great websites, Drupal is powerful and the capabilities and possibilities are endless. However, Drupal may have a steeper learning curve than other CMSs out there.

Pros

Drupal is a great software for building web applications. Drupal has a lot of features and is highly extendable and customizable. Drupal also boasts a large support community and numerous plugins are available. Whatever the website or application you want to create, Drupal can do it!

### "It’s hard to work, it’s not suitable for beginners"

December 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

Using the Drupal admin panel, I can quickly publish content. For this, minimal knowledge of HTML and CSS is sufficient. Also, using the platform, I can quickly install plugins from the store. If our bank’s site was on WordPress, we would have to modify such plugins. But in the Drupal store, most of the plugins are in excellent condition from the very beginning and do not need to be finalized.

Cons

Designing a site layout from scratch is very difficult. This requires serious programming knowledge. I was able to cope with the frontend, but I did not master the backend setup.

### "Content Management with Dupral"

December 4, 2019

5.0

Content management system for websites and creating content.

Pros

As a content creator, I enjoyed working with Drupal. It became easy to use after a few hiccups at the beginning. It's a shame it's not more common.

Cons

You really can't tweak it as a content creator. It always has to be a developer. This is a bit frustrating when something goes wrong with the setup.

### "Opensource CMS with lots of features and a big community"

August 18, 2019

4.0

Pros

Drupal is an opensource content management system. It has a lot of features, maybe more than other CMSs, and being opensource they all are free to use. There is a big community of Drupal, so it is easy to find documentation or have your questions answered. With Drupal 8 it is an even more robust and secure platform.

Cons

Some features are not very intuitive to use and there is room for improvement for performance.

May 15, 2018

5.0

It is a reliable and secure platform. I recommend it.

Pros

It is a very complete CMS. It has many essential functions by default to create any type of web page without having to install additional plugins.

Cons

The installation is a bit more complicated than Wordpress or Joomla. The learning curve is a bit slower but once learned is really easy to use.

### "Drupal is as good as you make it"

March 20, 2018

4.0

Pros

Drupal is a powerful website development and CMS tool. It allows you to build a beautiful and custom website and customize the backend for the admins so that it is easy for managers to update.

Cons

If you do not use best practices in building the structure of the admin of the website it can be frustrating for the content management team to use if the content is not properly exposed in the admin.
