Managing user's access to specific applications based on a role is simplified through Okta as well. Pros Ease of use. Being able to manage user access to applications through a single portal. AD integration makes this a very powerful tool and simplifies the end-user experience for accessing needed applications and tools. The Chrome plugin is also a nice touch. Cons I made the switch to a few months ago and have no complaints. It manages everything that is needed through an SSO platform. Review Source Dan Z. We rarely have to unlock user accounts anymore, and everybody seems to know where to go to access their apps and resources. OKTA! Pros Literally, stores all your credentials and logs you into 1000s of apps and webpages. Customer support is amazing as well!!! Cons The only cons I can think of are the one day when Dyn was going through a DDoS attack, half of our users couldn't access . We integrate many different services into Okta like ServiceNow, AWS, Webex, Splunk... We use Active Directory to assign the user role to have their permission access for Services with a suitable role. Pros support integrate with hundred popular software including cloud services like AWS, AppDynamics or on-premise. With Okta is well integrate with Active Directory to assign user's access right for Applications base on their group or role instead of detail access for each Application. Okta displays all of the apps that our staff have permission to access. It is single sign-on so I don’t have to log in every time. When I’m on the app it verifies me and I am good to go from there. The look of it is intuitive with the tiles for each tool. Cons The Touch ID setting does not stay on and I have to select not to question me for 30 days, I wish this was automatically selected so I don’t have to remember. Some of the things I love about it are; - I don't have to remember all my different log in details, I only need my Okta password. - It is very secure. - I can access my email, ATS and even Slack from pretty much anywhere, on my phone, home computer etc - It is super easy to use with a very simple UI Cons Forgetting your password could mean getting locked out of all your accounts, though this is really not Okta's fault.
