Pros I love that Prism has numerous graphing options and that it does your statistical analysis for you. Cons At first using Prism can be a bit difficult but once you get the hang of it it's a lifesaver. We used it with the 7-day free trial but I didn't find it useful enough to justify purchasing a subscription or ask my lab to pay for it. Instead I use Python and R for my data analysis. Pros If you know what you're seeking and have a rudimentary understanding of statistics, this is a good software. The 'magic wand' to apply graphical customizations to all graphs is arguably one of the most helpful tools. Cons It's less helpful for exploratory data analysis; I still will rely on Python/R for that. There is still a learning curve so if I were interested in statistics for more than the basics (t-tests, rank sum tests, ANOVA, etc) I would spend the time learning R. Review Source MA Mia A. Useful data workbooks. Do even complex stats easily. Great tutorials for Prism use and data analysis. Pros I love the graphing options of GraphPad Prism! Customizable, attractive and professional looking. No more ugly excel templates or struggling with code for me! Cons Prism is worth the investment but even the academic pricing is still pretty steep. The graphing capabilities were the main advantage for me. Pros Main feature for me is the graphing and the amount of options and control. Far superior to spreadsheet programmes. Basic statistical analysis is great depending on level of research. Cons Like it but.. its very expensive. I had a licenced copy through work but could not justify buying a license for my home machine. It has saved our team a lot of time and edits because everything is made automatically, and follows the same structure. Pros One of the features that I most like about GraphPad is that you can set a graph type (and style) to make all of your data look consistent. This one feature saves an enormous amount of time. I also greatly appreciate that it suggests which types of statistical analysis would be most appropriate, or impossible, to help guide the user. Cons GraphPad can be very hard to get used to. users must know how to input that data correctly. Building this experience takes time. February 22, 2019 5.0 GraphPad is the best and easiest software to use for data analysis. Highly recommended! Pros GraphPad is one of the simplest software for data analysis. This tool has a lot of features and functions to perform any statistical package. I like that I can import any data from excel without issues. I usually use it for doing student t-tests studies for my graduation project. Also copying and pasting charts to word documents works really well without any formatting changes. It is a powerful tool for data analysis. Pros Prism is the all-in-one statistics programs. It allows me to run any type of statistical analysis to measure the significance. The software has many great features and options. I like the attractive style of graphs and charts that I can get from prism that allows me to summarize my data in a nice and simple way. Pros What I like most about this software is that once I run my statistical analyses, it makes it incredibly easy and intuitive to output the analyses into appealing (and publishable) images. Compared to other similar softwares, there is much less time wasted fooling around with image parameters and settings in order to get a crisp and clear image. Cons I really have no major issues with this software besides the fact that it will lag (or not start at all) every once in a while on my device. That being said, that seems to be an issue that the company is constantly working to improve. Unlike SPSS, where we can't easily jump from tables to result and back, GraphPad Prism provides a unique environment for it, even for re-calculation without getting lost. Cons We have to think at the beginning, which tabulation type will fit for the test.
