I had an issue where I couldn’t create an account and login and when I contacted support, the first rep wasn’t really knowledgeable but found a resolution to my issue within minutes and helped me log into my account. Pros I love that paychex allows for everything as far as timekeeping to be done in the app. I don’t have to use several apps for all of my timekeeping. May 22, 2018 5.0 This software gives me record keeping benefits along with peace of mind. All my payroll information can be found within this software. With that information, I know that I am reporting properly to State and Federal governments for tax purposes. Pros Paychex software allows me to access every aspect of my payroll. The reports are detailed and many. It's been helpful for filing taxes and general record keeping. The software also has a good Tools and Resources area that is helpful for people using Paychex but not a payroll or accounting specialist. Cons Because I am not a payroll specialist, some of the report names do not make sense to me; they are titled using their industry name which is not always self-explanatory. To their credit, the people at Paychex always know which report I am searching for and point me in the right direction. There are a few things that could use improvement within the system such as the timing out when inactive for over 30 minutes and the request for time off options but on the whole I think its a good system. Pros I like the fact that the system will keep track of time, and that you can pull reports that show exact times. Cons The system times out too quickly, I think its 30 min. which is very inconvenient for employees as the system isn't very quick to get up and running again which means time spent just trying to clock-in or clock-out. I also don't care for the way the system tracks time off, it pulls from your 'bank' before its used so looking at your time off it can appear as though you are in the negative. I like the system better than UltiPro which I used before. Pros Paycheck Flex has a better designed user interface, better user experience, and more features than UltiPro. I like that Paychex Flex allows for exporting of multiple pay stubs into one PDF. Cons I wish Paychex Flex allowed users to export gross and net pay data to a spreadsheet. I had to do this manually. Pros the online access they provide for stubs and w2's Cons When an employee calls, they will not assist them with errors regarding their own pay. In that, my social security wages for 2021 were NOT reported to the Socia Security Administration (SSA) by Paychex Flex for 2021. I notified my employer; who contacted Dora Jones (Paychex Flex rep for the company) who communicated to him they were reported using my social; I sent a screen shot of MySocial Security acct earnings from the SSA wbsite showing they have NOT been reported; my employer advised me to call Dora and provided me the phone number; when I called \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] answered and told me he could NOT help me nor could he transfer an employee to the rep even though it's about their own wages. He alleged he escalated the issue and that i would receive a call back within 24 hours, which is highly unlikely. This is ridiculous as an employee cannot talk with someone at Paychex Flex about errors with the reporting of their own earnings. have talked to my employer who them instructed me to call \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] Review Source FF Flavio F. They only had a very little assistance in set up but the customer service is the worst I have seen in over 20 years. I was going to review them when I was at my last employer The Grand Sierra Resort and am so THANKFUL we passed on them and went with Kronos. This experience has proven to be one of the worst I have ever experienced and Paychex will always be one that I never forget. I would never recommend this to anyone I knew. Cons I think that I believe nothing is great about this vendor. When you have an issue, they can't be reached. When you ask them questions, they get frustrated. When I first talked to the "designated person," she was very nasty and I had to ask her if she was ok. From there she seemed to improve but they do not answer my calls. I know there is a level of frustration due to the fact that this company, prior to my arrival, didn't really know how to set it up but as far as that goes, I would imagine they would do their best to make sure the payroll service was on trac and they just do not do that. They don't assist, they don't answer the phone and they don't do much of anything. This employer, Bully's sports bar and grill is paying for things they never used and I am surprised our "Designated customer service person," didn't reach out after a year and say, "Hey, you are paying for this why aren't you using it?" This was definitely made with the user in mind. If you are looking for a program to simplify your payroll process look no further. Pros I love that I can access the time clock and punch in from my phone! No more clocking in late or lost/unpaid time while you wait for your computer to boot up. Not only can you manage your time card but, you can even check on your 401k and manage your investments. Requesting time off is so simple too. Cons Hardly nothing! There are a few features that are only available/visible on the computer version that are not on the mobile version which is a bit of a hassle but, so minute in comparison to the many accessible features. While small hiccups here and there, it’s been a lot more good than bad. Pros Compared to other software I have used previously, it’s nice having a central location in which one can access important documents in terms of paychecks, direct deposits, and work time. Other important documents such as one's W-2s and retirement are also found here and aren't complicated to find, with using Paychex one of the biggest benefits is their user interface being pretty clean and does not provide a fluff and show's what one wants, a big plus for a worker. Cons There's not a lot of negatives I can say in terms of Paychex, as I have dealt mostly on one of the spectrum as an employee and not an administrator but I would say maybe they could eventually improve the ability to find the actual Paychex Flex website, maybe a direct link when searching it in Google and make it more clear on their regular website where to go to find Flex. Paychex Flex was somewhat easy to pick up, but could have been easier with better UX for the site. I do a few hours of manual data entry each pay period due to lack of functionality in a few areas, despite asking customer support for solutions. Our account manager/rep is very quick to reply to questions and has proven knowledgeable. Pros Customizable user access Feels very secure Good reporting functionality Ability to customize views for easier data entry Cons UX problem: Huge text for unimportant areas, tiny text for the areas used most Cross-functionality: HRO doesn't connect to Payroll for all purposes. Paychex Flex can do so many different things. I look forward to a very long and lasting relationship with them. Pros We are a month into the implementation process with Paychex and just processed our very first payroll. So far the experience with Paychex and their implementation team has been outstanding. The paychex flex website is very easy to navigate. Each user can customize his/her own dashboard for the items they use on a regular basis. The Paychex Flex APP is also awesome. You can access from anywhere if you need to view or update any information. VERY VERY PLEASE CUSTOMER SO FAR. Cons Nothing. Reason for choosing Paychex Flex When doing the demo, Paychex had pre-populated demonstration with our company name to go over. They were very thorough.
