This is a revenue cycle management company that requires millions of files transfer on a daily basis. I am pleased to say that MoveIT automation has significantly reduced the time it takes for a develoment team to develop scripts that can transfer larger number of files to various client/vendor SFTPs. Also, the integration and implementation is the best piece. With every update, the security and the features are enhanced which keeps us excited. We are also implementing MoveIT transfer in our environment this year, replacing our current SFTP system. Already, the features Transfer supports is a great add on which we are looking to gain. Thank you Pros After using Moveit Automation for several yrs, it has become one of those platforms that quietly runs in the background and just gets the job done. What I appreciate most is that it eliminates a huge amount of manual work around file transfers. In our environment, we use it to move files betwn internal systems, vendors, SharePoint, Azure storage and SFTP hosts. From a security perspective, Moveit provides features that are critical in enterprise environments, including SFTP, encryption, audit logging and centralized control of file movement. Cons Upgrades and migrations require careful planning and testing. While the platform itself is stable, production upgrades often involve database validation, failover testing, service account verification, certificate checks, and task testing before and after deployment. The other thing is the customer support sometimes take more time than expected to resolve an issue.. Pros \-Very good performance to transfer big files between user -The cost is accessible versus other software's. -Full audit to check who transfer and delete files. -The interface is very light to load a big data about users and folders. -We can setup a failover service to make maintenances to software. -We can setup other services like a public share folders and FTP server to upload files. Cons \-The software doesn't have an application to install over Windows or MAC, others software have a desktop app map the personal folder to PC. There are lots of great little features to help your file transfers go smoothly whatever the situation you're facing. Cons There have been a number of high profile security issues that give me pause. Fortunately in my case that turns out to be someone else's problem (we have a separate team that handles security concerns), and I can get on with using the product. With MOVEit, we are able to send files in a given directory to a vendor on a scheduled basis (ex: once daily at 8AM). Pros It is easy to make use of MOVEit Automation to automate file transfer jobs between our network and outside vendors. I also appreciate that we can incorporate notification emails in the event of task failure/success. Cons One downside to MOVEit is that I've found it difficult to, for example, create a task that cleans up file folders that are older than three weeks. I spoke with a Progress support agent regarding this, and he stated that this wasn't something that is natively supported, but it could possibly be accomplished with some scripting. If such a feature were to be added to the native MOVEit Automation platform, it would be much easier to clean up old archive files within a given directory. Logs clearly show file names and times. In addition, the ability to set jobs to move only new files reduces the chance of errors. Pros The ease of use and administration. MoveIt is a one-stop shop for all of our file move management, is easy to maintain and has logging built in when and if needed. In addition, MoveIT allows for custom PowerShell scripting, which expands the possibilities and covers all of our needs. Cons When vulnerabilities are found, you have to get security to provide the output to progress support. Most commonly, this is the version of the MySQL connector.
